About This Game

Street Fighter® IV brings the legendary fighting series back to its roots by taking the beloved fighting moves and techniques of the original Street Fighter® II, and infusing them with Capcom's latest advancements in next generation technology to create a truly extraordinary experience that will re-introduce the world to the time-honored art of virtual martial arts.

Everything that made the legendary Street Fighter II a hit in the arcades, living rooms and dormitories across the globe has been brought back in Street Fighter IV. Players can play their favorite classic characters, such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Guile, along with new characters, including Crimson Viper, Abel, El Fuerte, and Rufus. Characters and environments are rendered in stylized 3D, while the game is played in the classic Street Fighter 2D perspective with additional 3D camera flourishes. Six-button controls for the game return, with a host of new special moves and features integrated into the gameplay system. Street Fighter IV brings a brand new fighting game to fans the world over.

  • High Definition stylized 3D environments and characters
  • Traditional "2D" Street Fighter six-button gameplay
  • 25 Fighters including:
    • Classic Street Fighter characters re-imagined for a new generation of gamers, including the original cast of Street Fighter II
    • New brawlers: female super-spy Crimson Viper, lucha libre wrestler El Fuerte, mixed martial artist Abel and more!
  • New special moves that go beyond any Street Fighter fan's wildest imagination, including Focus Attacks, Super Combos, and the revenge-fueled Ultra Combo system
  • New gameplay elements provide challenges for both newcomers as well as the most seasoned Street Fighter pro
  • Global Online gameplay
  • Exclusive to the PC version of the game, three visual shaders based on the "artistic" trailers give a new look to the gameplay: Watercolor, Poster, and Sumi-E ink styles

I would get Ultra instead. I'm not sure if you can save your progress with this version. It might be possible through GFWL but who knows what will happen with that service.

The grand daddy of fighting games returns to show the world how it's done.

Street Fighter 4 brings the classive feel of the original arcade class, updated with modern sensibilities.
One of my all time favorite games. If you love fighting games, or even have a passing interest in them, this is the game you don't want to me.

For some reason this game can't get past the street fighter launching window. For me it just crashes without an error message or anything. Go figure. I hear it's good though so...

I was kinda looking forward to this game and eventualy was disappointed. The controls are not that great and even the gameplay and difficulty are needed to be set on very easy just to enjoy the game. The AI is also very annoying as it has repetetive moves all the time. I wouldn't reccomend buying this game, I bought it to play with my friends but I didn't enjoy it. If you want a SF title just buy the Arcade or Ultra edition.

{Overt sarcasm} Just what the world needs...yet another overpriced Street Fighter game. Yay...

Plus: The fight mechanics are a lot like the other SF games. Very familiar.
The graphics are great.

Cons: This is the same game it was 20 years ago. Why does it still cost so much?
DLC from Street Fighter should be free. Yet, they charge for extras that should've been included from the start.

It's a great game but buy it during a special sale. You be glad you waited for all the extras to come out. As usual, there will always be various "Edtions" of SF that you'll have to pay the FULL price for.

This game is okay. The controls feel unresponsive. Also Idk that I've ever been a big fan of SF4. It's too martial artsy for me.
