Frame-rate Challenge Mode:
Sometimes the internet leaks into games, and even Zeno Clash 2 can’t escape. In this unique challenge, surreal wireframe enemies begin spawning with increasing frequency. The enemies still require skill to beat, but the waves are only limited by one thing: the PC’s performance. Eking every last ounce of computational horsepower will be the key to surviving as long as possible in this highly unusual challenge.

Coliseum Challenge Mode:
This wave-based attack mode will push players to the limit. 50 waves of enemies will spawn, with increasing difficulty. True mastery of Zeno Clash 2’s first-person combat system of deadly combos will lead brawlers to victory, but there is some respite between rounds as players will have access to the store to buy weapons, power-ups, even allies. Unlike the game, there’s no restriction on the number of allies either, so get ready for the most intense, all-out, battle royale in all of Zenozoik.

Special Edition

The Special Edition for Zeno Clash 2 includes:

  • ‘The Art of ‘Zenozoik’ digital artbook
  • Zeno Clash 2 Original Soundtrack

About This Game

Ghat's story is far from over: Zeno Clash 2 picks up where the deliciously brazen first game left off. After 4 years of waiting, the sequel to the surreal first-person brawler brings more variety in combat and levels, and even more bizarre storytelling into the beguiling world of Zenozoik. Join forces with your former foe Rimat and battle against scores of angry denizens, preventing their dastardly machinations from being realized.

Zeno Clash 2 welcomes new players to the Zeno Clash universe with a new game that will bring them into the universe and fill them in on the backstory. Returning players will delight in the connections between the new settings and the first adventure. All players will thoroughly enjoy playing a first-person brawler that provides a rarity in modern gaming: a truly unique experience.

Zeno Clash 2 has beefed up its combat engine with precision punch targeting, blocking, and high-impact hits that only make the bone-crunching, face-rattling fistcuffs more satisfying. The new "Lock-on" function gives players a wider range of control for dishing out the damage. New RPG mechanics will allow Ghat and Rimat to punch harder, defend better, and recruit more powerful allies to aid in their quest. Zeno Clash 2 now harnesses the full power of the Unreal III engine to bring the bizarre and beautiful world of Zenozoik to life. ACE Team's boundless imagination brings gamers into a universe of surreal foes, fantastic locations, and truly unique visuals that is unlike anything else you will ever play. With the newly added drop-in/drop-out co-op play, Zeno Clash 2 invites you AND a friend to dive once more into the fray!

First off, if you haven't play the first Zeno Clash, it will be impossible to grasp the continuing story. So go play that first. Beyond its awesome melee combat system, words still don't do this game justice. It's just something that has to be experienced firsthand. This second Zeno Clash builds upon the first making it more open world, adding a few usable items for your character, and adds some new combat moves. The story, characters, monsters, weapons, and scenery are just as wacky as the first. The only thing I didn't like was the new "Lock-on" feature which seemed to make combat a little more clumsy than before. Other than that, this is a brilliant sequel.

one of the best Melee games i have ever played to date...

inventory system - 6.5/10 - very limited, i guess adds to the survival factor of the game. - if that even made sense >.<
combat - 8/10 - very easy when you get use to it.
graphics - 7.5/10 - some part of the maps are very detailed, astonishing graphics, very artistic.
story/plot - 5.9/10 - very confusing, funny at times.

overall = game is worth buying at discounted price!

Just like Zeno Clash 1. Confusing, weird and full of punching stuff. If I wasn't playing on wood, I would be able to make some nice combos but whatever. Punching stuff is fun. And weapons... or rather tools work really... indirectly.
Errr... as I said this game is weird but that makes it good. Recommended.

To be honest Zeno Clash 2 is kind of trashy but its also so much fun. I think I rarely laughed that much and especially in Coop this game is so funny and entertaining for hours. But don't expect an AAA Title :D

Really cannot recommend this at all.. Storyline is confusing. Voice acting was monotonous. Gameplay was slightly entertaining at the start, until you realise there isn't much variety after a while.

I actually gave this game a chance to shine (1.9hrs time)... it just never did.

This game perfectly captures the weird nightmares you had as a little child and brings it to life.

10/10 would help a child kidnapper escape jail and fight for a cow in human skin clothes again.

A truly fantastic game, the first person brawling is well implemented and unique. The environments and character design are truly breathtaking. The story is deep and heartfelt. This game represents the potential of games as an art form and it is made even more incredible by the fact that it was created by such a tiny team. I cannot praise this game highly enough it is a work of art that is the pinnacle of it's form.

Fancy walking around some nightmarish 1970s sci-fi artwork thumping creatures in the face (sometimes kicking them when they are down)? I'm not sure I did, but I had a lot of fun.

Zeno Clash is niche. It is also obtuse and unfriendly to newcomers. There are no tutorials (apart from a couple of screen prompts in your first fight); there's no journal, no quest log, no helpful NPCs offering guidance on what to do or where to go. There are entire sub-plots you could miss by not going into the right house in the opening city (which gives no indication it is a hub area). This really is a game in which you are dumped in a world, given the lightest of prods in the direction of a story - and then get left on your own. Persevere and you might end up loving it.

I loved it. The game is pretty short (6 hours or so), the controls are clunky (there's one fight which requires a special ability that will have you gnashing your teeth), but the combat is satisfying, the game is beautiful and it is unlike anything I've ever played (though I might now have to check out Zeno Clash 1).

If you are fed up of being spoon fed AAA baby food, this comes highly recommended.

Purchased this game to play coop with my wife. Great game and great atmosphere, and I love the character designs but there were problems.
Problems that mainly related to the coop aspect of the game. The second player kept getting bugs with their controls, ranging from being stuck in place even though they were able to move on my screen, to not being able to block.
Despite these issues, the game is still great fun with awesome combat to beautiful design choices.
It is just a shame that coop is so hard to get working.

Zeno Clash II might be the most unlikely sequel in recent gaming history given the first game’s status as a thoroughly bizarre first-person brawler some consider to be a cult classic. The story is often confusing and poorly conveyed through incredibly stilted dialogue delivered by in-game cutscenes. Navigation is a constant source of frustration as the game will decide to leave player’s without an objective marker and no clue as to where to go next. Melee combat takes up the majority of the mechanics and it largely works. The confusing narrative, poor voice acting, and lackluster puzzles make the game hard to love, but if “weird” is your niche, this trip offers some solid entertainment. The game’s utter oddness is enough to grab the attention of the average gamer, but its on-and-off mission structure isn’t going to keep them for long and once again fisticuffs in first-person proves problematic.Hugely imaginative but slightly irritating. Overall 6/10.

I was fascinated by the dreamy and surreal atmosphere of the game. You don't realize how utterly conventional most game worlds are until you've played Zeno Clash 1 and 2. The gameplay is solid, the fights are a lot of fun, but the star of the show is clearly the alien world with its inhabitants. I recommend this game to anyone who's grown tired of the same old 3D shooters over the years.

Ghat returned to re-unite his family, and to crack some skulls of course!

World is crazy like before, and this game focusing on hand-to-hand combat again. Even Bud Spencer can't launch bodies that far with bare fists like Ghat can do!!!
