The Hidden Face of Moon

Today, Moon Island reveals its face! If you look closely, you can see that this crescent-shaped isle is smiling… why? Well, there’s a lot to be happy about: the details of the next update are shared in this article! But that’s not all, we have a trunk full of treasures to share!

We know that we have some intrepid explorers out there who have searched the jungles of Moon Island high and low for treasure and secrets. We know that exploring through the vines, with only machete in hand, was no easy feat… but do you think you have uncovered all of Moon Island’s secrets? The thirst for adventure never ends. Today; we announce that the next update will be on… April 12th!

And to help you celebrate, here’s a trunk-load full of treasures coming in the next update:

The new zone of Moon Island!

Be wary explorers, for the two new monster families -- the Nyl Crocodyls and the Kannivores lie in wait, with tooth, spear and thorn at the ready.

…And there’s more!

  • 2 new dungeons (for levels 176 and 178).
  • 5 new resources in the new zone: ‘The Tunnels.’
  • 10 new mercenary quests
  • Over 60 new items
  • Over 15 new crafting recipes
  • 5 new Fabulous Runes

This new zone is only accessible to players who have an active Booster Pack. The former Moon Island zone (released in update 1.45) is now accessible to ALL!

Monk Island revamp!

Even stinky little rats and ill-mannered monks need a makeover once in a while. Well, unfortunately we couldn't do much for their sorry snouts, but with all our power we've given their surroundings a visual revamp! Monk Island has been visually revitalized with one message in mind: more spook and more chills!

The in-game event, Fleaster!

From April 12th at 10:00 AM to April 26th at 10:00 AM (server time), get ready to collect eggs and participate in the hunt of your life! Or the opposite... but remember that date because Fleaster is coming back and it will be for players of all levels to enjoy!

Each year, when the first spring buds begin to bloom, the same story repeats itself: the Fleasters are overtaken by a sudden frenzy and begin to lay eggs everywhere! So be careful where you step if you do not want to end up feeling like walking on eggshells! You don’t want to make Etnop sad or angry...

It may well be that the Meridia of Eggs will be overwhelmed during this time and might need a helping hand or two. Don’t you hear his cries for help? We sure do, so collect the Fleaster eggs by farming them, and then take them to the machine, located in the city of Astrub, to choose your reward for your public service!

Please note: The content of this event will be identical to the version from last year, but we feel that these in-game events (and the achievements gained from them) can be appealing to both our new and older players. The arrival of Heroes System between last year’s Fleaster event and this year’s Fleaster event should not cause major problems, however, some environmental quests related to the Fleaster event may cause you to encounter some problems. The reason we have not been able to look in more detail on these issues is because we wanted to focus our efforts on the upcoming patch (and with it, permanent content) rather than the temporary content of this in-game event.

Water… Earth… Fi…HUPPERMAGES!

From April 12th, the Huppermage will be available for all players! Find out more about this new class.

In the coming update, we're offering you the opportunity to play the latest class who are able to combine all four elements! Consider that, with this class, the balance of the Krosmoz is in your hands!

From April 12th, the Class Change service will also include Huppermages!

Kerubaby , kitty got claws!

As detailed previously, Kerubaby (Baby Kerubim) joins the game! Players who made a purchase (via real currency or Ogrines) from December 1st, 2014 to April 12th, 2016 will receive this feline fellow!

Your latest pet will be credited to your account sometime after the update. Watch out for news when.

See you in the World of Twelve on April 12th!

Well, that’s enough highlights for now… you’ll just have to discover the rest of the changes in-game!

Could be good but ankama is stupid enough to ruin it with every new patch. After the dupe of relics and kama i dont think this game is even worth to play. 3000+hrs of gameplay now i feel like all of it was wasted.5/10

Thought you could play alone?. Hahaha, the only thing you can do in this game is grind. I did like this game a lot in the earlier stages but as time went on it became more of a grindefest than game. I literally thought I was working for one day.
10/100
Only get this game if you have 5 friends and love grinding.

EDIT:If you are gonna play this game just remember the only place that isn't a ghost town is Dathura (French Server) and Elbor (Spanish Server). The entire game gets around 5000 logins everyday across all the servers and they have started to shut down a few. Hopefully Ankama will save this game.

Wakfu is an ok game, full of bugs and a horrible community.

If you dont mind being harrased, player killed, lose ur progress thanks to bugs, grind for hours doing the same exactly boring tasks to achieve nothing at all, being ignored by the developers/support/moderators/community managers, feeling like ankama is laughing at you at every moment, etc.... then play the game, you will regret it.

Also dont be fooled, the game isnt free, you have to get a subscription if you want to achieve something... and by the way, the game is almost always empty. Good luck. I wasted 4 years of my life playing this piece of crap, dont waste yours

Edit.
Just uninstalled it, Nox have the most toxic players you can find in any game. Last patch also made the game unplayable, the small balance the classes had is gone, is a cash grabber... dont be fooled by the cute graphics, this game is worst than a second job... you have to work EXTREMELY hard for no rewards at all...

This game is great... I mean it. One of the best and most unique games you will ever find.
I've been playing this game for years now (before it comes to steam) and I was in love with it. I had many charecters at cap level... But one day.. my account got hacked ( I mean all gamers know this would happen to them once or twice in their gaming life it's not a big deal right??) SO I did what anyone else would do and opened a ticked... but guess what they will do for you? NOTHING! ya they might reset you password if you want, but other than that NO... NOTHING.
so imagine playing for few years in this game and some hacker come in steal all your cash, spend all your cash-shop currency to buy stuff and give it to his main, sell all your rare armors and weapons.... so I basicly ended with 8 max level charecters naked with no cash... just nothing. And they will not do nothing for you. If you don't believe just go to their website and check it for your self.

Link to their "account theft information" : https://support.ankama.com/hc/en-us/articles/201609246-My-account-was-stolen-what-do-I-do-

and you will find this warning at the begininga "Warning: although Support is able to help you regain access to your account, they can do nothing about any losses and modifications resulting from the theft. All stolen items or kamas are permanently lost."

So ya... Go ahead and play this awesome game... invest all your time (AND MONEY) in it... but if your account got hacked one day... you can kiss it goodbye.

I would love to give Wakfu an amazing review...I really would. And I would have a couple of months ago, when I was glued to the screen leveling up my Osamoda. Unfortnately, after over 1500 hours, I've come to the conclusion that Wakfu is a huge time-suck with no true, fulfilling end-game.

I have created a huge assortment of characters, trying to figure out the spells and play-styles that suit me. And while I love the handful (five) I have ended up with (Osa, Sac, Masq, Sadida, Elio), they just aren't enough to hold me to the game. Starting a new character means reliving questlines over and again...some of which have not even been finished by the developers...but which sit in your quest log and stare at you...day-in and day-out (the developers are apparently working on these...but who knows how long the questlines have been waiting to be finished up. Instead, they release new holiday material and conveniently ignore gameplay that needs to be addressed). and the monotony of the quests becomes unbearable. Your char is sent across different maps to collect items and talk to various NPC's, and it's a never-ending pace of back-and-forth-back-and-forth. Nothing changes, even though your characters do. Still, quests are all a must-do if you want your char to have special items or open up new areas that are inaccessible otherwise. So, if you take on another character...and then another...expect that you'll be bored to tears speaking to Pappy Pal and chasing after books across Astrub to obtain your dragoturkey.

Speaking of monotony...grinding is almost mandatory if you want to get anywhere. Professions can be ignored for only so long. Leveling each profession up takes a *lot* of time and patience. However, if you want to make kamas, you have to chop wood, pick herbs, trap animals, mine rocks, etc...as selling these items, or crafting with them, is the only way to really make kamas at the market. And the market is difficult to navigate, as searching for a particular item brings up only the cheapest for sale, instead of a list to choose from. This is frustrating for the simple fact that equipment is element based...and you're forced to spend kamas on equipment that you have to change to suit your particular elements...which also requires kamas. Dungeon runs gift you special coins with which to purchase new equipment, but the gear is often so expensive that it's not worth the time it takes to complete said dungeon the twenty or thirty times it takes to acquire said gear. And once acquired, that gear is linked to your character...so forget selling it at the market in hopes of upgrading to something else when the time arrives. Instead, you are forced into a grind of dun-runs. Quite often, the monotony becomes mind-numbing. Who honestly wants to pick 250 herbs or trap 250 animals just to level up a solitary profession one level---especially when each profession has 100 levels.

Each new area opened quickly loses its appeal after battling its monsters and dungeons. I hit level 120 with two of my characters...and I am *still* awaiting something new to come along at level 132. Who knows when that will be. Probably never. My time with this game is quickly drawing to a close.

PVP is, oftentimes, hugely unbalanced. Characters fifty levels over you can attack you (even if you have PVP deactivated), and there is absolutely no chance at making it out alive. And forget fairness. If you manage to combat a character around your level, and win the duel, you can be sure the player will log in with a much higher level char just to hunt you down and attack you---or call their higher level friends to do it for them. And you can be sure that some of the higher levels are strapped to the teeth with the best equipment/gear...courtesy of the cliques formed within guilds and groups. Also, fair warning: during PVP, you will be insulted, and often. If your enemy doesn't like your character or playstyle, expect to be called a plethora of rude names.

And forget if you need help from Ankama. You pretty much have to sacrifice your unborn children to accomplish reporting a technical issue. They want detailed reports and multiple screenshots for each and every problem (no matter how small the problem is), and even after complying...very little is done to fix the problem(s).

I loved this game at first. The graphics and music and spells and char classes are brilliant. But more thought needs to be put into the game and the gameplay. Because, as is, the hours spent in front of Wakfu are just not worth it when all is said and done.
