After many patches and fixes, I can finaly recommend this game. It's bad that most of Shogun II features are not included, but the with the patches and some mods, the graphics and gameplay are really nice. In the campaign there are more than 100 factions and you can play great campaigns with some 15 factions. The Battles are quite good, they keep the player focused on the screen, the only problem is that the battle soundtrack is not as good as the previoust Rome.
The New system of province management it's very interesting and motivates the player to conquer more settlements. However the new system of buildings is irrational and ridiculous, if you improve the buildings to level 3 (the max. level for most buildings is 4) squalor will greatly increase and rebellions and will be in a great number. So the point is that we don't upgrade our cities? No this is bad and should be fixed, in the previoust Rome, the squalor problem had solution.
The Objectives and campaign victories are something that will make the player do a more general campaign, like "I will not just conquer everything", there's a economic and cultural victory.
Another thing that I really enjoyed is that this time we can control the character's level up, and the military traditions. The skills you get, give bonuses which can be very usefull.
There are tons of other aspects of the game that we could be here talking about, but this is enough, if you like the Total War series play it, but know that this game is very different from the other Total War Games. So after the patches and fixes you might enjoy it!
Still, the game is not entirely fixed, for example, if you want to play Multiplayer properly, you need to wait for the next patches
