Gamemaker: Studio™ Professional
GameMaker: Studio™ PROFESSIONAL unlocks the full power of GameMaker: Studio™, giving you all the great features of STANDARD with the added ability to purchase and plug-in the YoYo Compiler, Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8 and HTML5 export modules, collaborate within a team through subversion and monetize your game with an unprecedented amount of developer services.

Gamemaker: Studio™ Master Collection
Bringing all of GameMaker: Studio™’s best features and modules together, GameMaker: Studio™ MASTER COLLECTION gives you the power to create, test, monetize and distribute games to iOS, Android, Windows, Windows Store, Windows Phone 8, OSX and HTML5.

Key features:

Dedicated, game-focused IDE
The GameMaker: Studio™ IDE has all you need to deal with fonts, sounds, images and music, as well as other resources needed to create a game. It enables you to define game entities (known as 'objects') and their behaviours in an intuitive, event-driven way and has an easy to use drag-and-drop interface.

Powerful scripting language
With GameMaker: Studio™'s built-in GameMaker Language (GML), you can control every last detail of your game – path finding, physics, object interaction, particles, data structures and more …
And should you find that even that is still not enough for your project, you can easily expand GameMaker: Studio™ by using GML, JavaScript and Dynamic-Link Library Extension Packages.

Multi-format export
When combined with format-specific modules, GameMaker: Studio™ can take your game's single codebase and produce ready-to-run executables and apps for multiple platforms, with a single click.
With modules already available for Steam Workshop, Windows, Windows 8, Mac OS X, iOS*, Android*, Windows Phone 8* and HTML5* - and more to be announced soon - GameMaker: Studio™ is the fastest and simplest way to develop multi-platform games for mobile devices, home computers and the Web.

The YoYo Compiler
Games written in Studio can now harness the full speed of the CPU with the new native YoYo Compiler (YYC), allowing projects to run up to 100x faster than before, across all native platforms supported by Studio. Unlocking new possibilities in CPU intensive areas such as artificial intelligence, procedural techniques, real time lighting, enhanced physics, real time geometry deformation, collision and data manipulation.

Fully integrated, totally cross platform shader support allows you to write shaders once, and then deploy them on every platform that supports them. This powerful system allows full access to low level shaders, while still letting Studio do the heavy lifting and keeping totally cross platform. The built in editor has been extended to have full colour syntax highlighting and intelli-sense for shaders, making creation a breeze.

Source Control
GameMaker: Studio™ also includes a comprehensive source control scheme so that working on a project within a team is easier than ever before.
Currently incorporating Subversion (SVN), and with more solutions on the way, GameMaker: Studio™ is the only development tool your team needs to get things done in record time.

Developer Services
To help easily monetize games, we’ve given developers unprecedented access and removed the technical hassle of connecting them with some of the biggest advertisers, analytics and engagement services on mobile and web.

Not a bad piece of software. I mainly use it to play other peoples games and see what is up and coming to greenlight. Overall i have had fun and i did get it cheap.

Few things to note.
Dont get drawn into the iPhone part unless your on a Mac. It clearly states in Apple policy that you can only develope iPhone games on an Apple PC.

Definitely only by the parts you need as your skill progress. Go free untill you advance so much you need more resources. Then upgrade to Standard and so on. You should obviously buy stuff when its cheap too otherwise it can become very expensive.

I originally started using GameMaker when it was at version 4.1 back in 2002, it was my first foray into game development and it was pretty awesome. Now, with GameMaker Studio, there have been many improvements to GameMaker's performance and features.

If you are new to Game Development then GameMaker Studio is an excellent platform to start learning how to make games. It allows you to put together a game reasonably quickly only using its drag and drop interface. And with it's easy to pick up scripting language, GML, it can help you learn a lot about programming and allow you to make some really great games, with a little work.

GameMaker Studio is primarily geared toward 2D Game Development, and is limited in some ways technically, however 2D Development is much easier to work with than 3D and is the best place to start for new learners.

I highly recommend this software for anyone just starting to learn Game Development, or for a more experienced user looking to create a 2D Game or Prototype in little time.

This software is all I need to begin taking the necessary steps towards getting a game designing career. There's so much you can do with this once you know how to code. Would recommend, although this will change if yoyogames decides to release an update that will corrupt my projects. If that never happens, 10/10 would dev again

- Better than Unity for 2D Games.

- Can create the most complicated 2D game on the earth. I mean if you are the best game programmer in the world, you will not be limited by the potential of the game engine.

- Do not go for Game Maker if you are planning to develop something with more than three coders in your team.

One of the most expensive game maker program in the world, which extensions are extremely expensive. If you buy any other game making software, you'll probably get more value for money. Learn how to make games cheaper software first and then buy expensive software like this.

For me, this has become particularly expensive to acquire and not because I have not bought Collection. I had bought most of the previous versions of the software separately because the software producer does not give discounts or update to a newer software license. For example, Game Maker 8 version of the license, you can not get the studio version but, a license must be purchased separately and these separate license versions of the acquisition cost would have to buy a collector's version.

Dedicate yourself to the world almost every game making software and I have used this software up to almost 10 years and I can say from experience that, in many others the commercial license for the software are even better than this software.

Even the acquisition of Unity Pro license of the 1200 euro will be cheaper quality and benefit in relation to the purchase of Game Maker Collection or modulus buying individually.

I do not recommend.
