Gamemaker: Studio™ Master Collection
Bringing all of GameMaker: Studio™’s best features and modules together, GameMaker: Studio™ MASTER COLLECTION gives you the power to create, test, monetize and distribute games to iOS, Android, Windows, Windows Store, Windows Phone 8, OSX and HTML5.

Key features:

Dedicated, game-focused IDE
The GameMaker: Studio™ IDE has all you need to deal with fonts, sounds, images and music, as well as other resources needed to create a game. It enables you to define game entities (known as 'objects') and their behaviours in an intuitive, event-driven way and has an easy to use drag-and-drop interface.

Powerful scripting language
With GameMaker: Studio™'s built-in GameMaker Language (GML), you can control every last detail of your game – path finding, physics, object interaction, particles, data structures and more …
And should you find that even that is still not enough for your project, you can easily expand GameMaker: Studio™ by using GML, JavaScript and Dynamic-Link Library Extension Packages.

Multi-format export
When combined with format-specific modules, GameMaker: Studio™ can take your game's single codebase and produce ready-to-run executables and apps for multiple platforms, with a single click.
With modules already available for Steam Workshop, Windows, Windows 8, Mac OS X, iOS*, Android*, Windows Phone 8* and HTML5* - and more to be announced soon - GameMaker: Studio™ is the fastest and simplest way to develop multi-platform games for mobile devices, home computers and the Web.

The YoYo Compiler
Games written in Studio can now harness the full speed of the CPU with the new native YoYo Compiler (YYC), allowing projects to run up to 100x faster than before, across all native platforms supported by Studio. Unlocking new possibilities in CPU intensive areas such as artificial intelligence, procedural techniques, real time lighting, enhanced physics, real time geometry deformation, collision and data manipulation.

Shaders
Fully integrated, totally cross platform shader support allows you to write shaders once, and then deploy them on every platform that supports them. This powerful system allows full access to low level shaders, while still letting Studio do the heavy lifting and keeping totally cross platform. The built in editor has been extended to have full colour syntax highlighting and intelli-sense for shaders, making creation a breeze.

Source Control
GameMaker: Studio™ also includes a comprehensive source control scheme so that working on a project within a team is easier than ever before.
Currently incorporating Subversion (SVN), and with more solutions on the way, GameMaker: Studio™ is the only development tool your team needs to get things done in record time.

Developer Services
To help easily monetize games, we’ve given developers unprecedented access and removed the technical hassle of connecting them with some of the biggest advertisers, analytics and engagement services on mobile and web.

Let me tell you my story about how GameMaker has turned me into indie game developer.

About 10 years ago I've began to play games.
Ever since, I've wanted to create my own games.
I've been painting game interfaces in MS paint for years, pretending to be game developer.

3 years ago, I've decided that it's time to stop pretending and create real game.
It was nightmare.
I've downloaded many large programs without any idea how to use them, how to create game with them.
It was just too hard to start with almost no knowledge.

I've learned programming basics from the Codeacademy.com and I was able to write very simple programs.
I had to learn programming myself, because in the school I didn't got any useful programming knowledge.

So, I tried to make game, downloaded many different compilers, they didn't work and I almost gave up.
But then I found GameMaker!

I've downloaded it, completed few simple tutorials and I was already able to make simple games!

Making games with GameMaker was so much fun, that I've almost stopped playing games.

My first RPG was garbage.

My second game, odd shoot-em-up with RPG elements was also pretty bad, but better. Much better.

My third game was massive RPG, which was bad only because it had awful graphics.
Well, okay, there were other awful things...
But when I finished making it, I realized that nothing can stop me, that I can create anything I want!

And now I'm making my fourth game. I'm working on it for year now and it's not even half done.
Since I realized I can make great game with GameMaker, I'm trying to do it and I'm feeling that I'm getting close.
This is my story so far and it's really not over!

I don't know what will happen in future, but I hope that one day, my games, made with GameMaker, will stand proudly next to other great games here in Steam!

It's amazing experience watching your skills grow, watching your games become better and better...
So, if you ever wanted to create your own game and didn't yet, grab GameMaker and do it!

PS.: Sorry for bad English.

PPS.: Here's my fourth and best game:

EDIT: My game is on Steam! Story continues... =]

I hear ths software gets a bad rep for "being limited". I say thats entirely not the case, like all development tools, you will have to learn a bit. The only lmitation to this software is the user's ability. Just one note.... Learn the GML language, and dont resort to 100% drag-n-drop.

A long time ago, I was chosen to go to a university for a week and learn video game design. I got to choose which thing to use, and I wanted to use Unity. I never got the chance to get into that class, and I got stuck with something I never used, or even really saw: GameMaker. I was a bit sad at first, that I didn't get the class I wanted, but instead, I got the class I needed. In one day, I learned basic GameMaker functions, and I made a space shooter game called Laser Storm. One of the teachers saw what I was doing and I could easily see he was impressed. Throughout the week, the teachers put in a little challenge: to compete against other classes. There wasn't really any challenge, our class won over them and we won pizza and drinks and watching some documentary about Devolver Digital on friday. We also got to show off our games. I went last (and being the socially awkward person I am, I stuttered and twitched a lot) but my amazing game won a double thumbs up from my favourite teacher, and half my classmates asking to have a copy of the game. It's been a year now, and I found out I have to go to a different university to persue what I want to do as a job. I always wanted to pick up GameMaker again but I never really found the reason to. For some reason, seeing it on Steam reignited my fuel for screwing around making games I'll never release (coda style).

Thanks Greg.
