i like this game!

i'm usually not a big fan at all of time-trials, quick-time events, ANYTHING that makes me feel rushed/pressured, but the whole 30-second thing in this game is more kinda upbeat and exciting-- to me at least.

plus, it's kinda nice that, in most cases, u can kinda just go about it however u want. speed it up or just forever turn the time back to complete it at ur leisure (if u got fat enough wallet to tame that greed beast called a goddess)

get it!

How to enjoy Half Minute Hero:
1. do not watch any gameplay prior to installing
2. immediately change the graphics to retro
3. go straight to multiplayer and invite everyone on your steam friends list
4. turn the music up as loud as you can bear to have it
5. don't forget to pray

It's a great game, though it was slightly better on the PSP. The original graphics don't scale well to a PC screen, and the new alternative graphics are terrible. The sequel is even better, and it comes with a free copy of the first game, so buy that. But make sure you play the first game before the sequel.

Don't take this game seriously.

No, really, don't.

If you can't tell from the title and the concept of the game, it's a silly game. If you can embrace that, and slog through the mediocre gameplay, it's great for a few laughs. It burns through ALL the fantasy game tropes at a blinding pace, and does so somewhat compitantly. It might not be enough to make up for some of the failings of this game, but it will for some people. so yea, pick it up if your thinking you'll be ok with that.

Don't go in looking for a chalange or anything overly complex. this is not that kind of game.

Play for the sillyness. not much else to it, and I don't think that's necisaraly a bad thing...

A parody game that takes a few stabs at JRPG cliches, in a good way. Just don't expect there to be alot of gameplay.

Fun game, quite addictive. The levels are a couple minutes long, but before you know it an hour has passed.

This game is wildly fun, and a style / mechanism that I never thought would work. It works fantastically and in an incredible manner. I truly have not played anything quite like this, and that is a complete rarity in this day and age.

Finally, an RPG that doesn't bore me to death. There are a lot of levels in this game, and there are quite a few jokes and laughs to be had.

10/10, would save the world in 30 seconds again.

It's like a JRPG made for ADHD people... a ADHDJRPG

Overall the game is pretty good, the story has a good sense of humor and the whole "beat a level under 30 seconds" game mechanic is quite unique although it does start to get repetitive after awhile. There is a bit of replay value though, there are titles for beating the missions in certain ways, items to find, allies to ally with, alternate paths in some missions and just simply trying to get the best completion time. The graphics look quite nice (the new graphics not the classic graphics) and the music and sounds are quite nice. I should also add that the dialog is actually quite nice. It's got a sort of adorable feel to it, through the dialog, graphics and humor. Did I say quite nice a few too many times? Yes I did. Anway I give it 4 out of 5 gottagofasts.
