Too boring for my opinion. Hoped for something better when i saw that looking good 2d graphic. Easy game, for younger audience. In the end it was harder, but nothing innovative. Just generic logic game.

It's a puzzle game. Sort of like lemmings but much less interesting. More at home on smartphones. It lacks any way to adjust the resolution and no widescreen support. Pass.

Amazing game with a cute protagonist.
Some levels are fairly hard and involve a lot of trial and error, but that doesn't reduce the fun.

I can definitely recommend this game to all people who are willing to use their brain for a few hours.

I have over 600 games in my Steam account, and the vast majority of them are still unplayed. So now I'm dedicating an hour to each of these games and writing a series of One Hour Reviews. An hour isn't very long to judge a game on, so think of this as more of a first impression, and take this review in the spirit in which it's given. Be sure to read other reviews from players who have spent more time in the game.

One Hour Reviews #55 - Eets Munchies

Eets Munchies is a puzzle game that took me back to my days playing Lemmings. You play as Eets and his single-minded quest to get cake. But Eets is not terribly smart. In fact he'll happily hop of a ledge into oblivion if you let him.

To avoid that, the trick is to strategically place items that will help Eets get to his goal of eating his cake. You place these items prior to starting the level. Some items are simple like planks that you can place for Eets to walkover. But other items that you place you click to interact with, and these items will interact with the environment. Take for example the "Inhale Whale" which you click on and it will inhale Eets and then exhale him to move him up at an angle.

I also was reminded of Angry Birds as I continued to progress through levels and the game would introduce new kinds of items to use that work in different ways. Another reminder is the way each level has the basic goal of getting to the cake, but also a secondary goal of getting up to 3 additional treats. It's pretty easy to make it to the cake and progress to the next level, but the game awards you for getting each of the 3 treats as well, which is where the game can get tricky.

I adored the art style. It has a zany cartoon feel, like something I'd see in Ren & Stimpy. And the sound effects are matched perfectly with the art. I thought they did some nice work here. My only complaint is the music starts feeling repetitive after awhile, but as far as complaints go that's pretty minor.

One other thing that sets this game apart is the level editor. I thought this was a really cool touch to add. The level editor is pretty easy to use, it's basically just drag and drop. You can build the levels and populate it with the items that you've unlocked from regular play.

I definitely appreciated the inclusion of the level editor as I think that helps add replay value. I remember playing Angry Birds, and never found myself really replaying levels once I beat them. I definitely would have felt the same about this game, so it's nice to have the level editor to make your own levels, or get your own from Steam Workshop.

You might be a little turned off by the price, as there are definitely cheaper puzzle games to be had (particularly on mobile). But the game is undeniably fun, and given the high potential for replayability, I still think it's a fine value.

Very godd puzzle game which is similar to Cut the Rope where you have to lead the character (in this case Eets) into the different items and get to the cake to finish the puzzles. Enough puzzles with easy, medium and hard difficulties so the game isn't too easy but also not too hard either. Would recommend if you play these type of games. 7/10

Don't let the looks fool you, there is nothing silly about this game!

You basically need to guide Eets (the white bunny...thingy...) towards the cake. Eets can only walk straight and is dumb enough to jump into pits of certain death. Your task is to basically "guide him" to the cake, optionally feeding him other candies, puddings and whatnot on your path. Eath puzzle gives you 3 candies and 1 cake. Whereas you cannot directly interact with Eets, you can change his path by laying down items on the ground (which may modify the scenario or Eets' behaviour). There are 5 "Worlds", each with 12 puzzles, the last of which is an extra "Mystery World" which does not contain any candies - just the cake.

I like to brag that I like puzzle games (and that is true). I got this game (like most) in a bundle and didn't expect much. The cartoon-ish graphics, the silly music and the very concept made this title sound like a child game, but you will quickly be surprised. After the first world you will actually have think quite hard to grab all the candies. As a puzzle game lover, I found every single puzzle fair and reasonable, no "dirty tricks" needed.

Sadly the replayability value is low.

The achievements are well designed and flow naturally with the game, but sadly they don't add any extra challenge that the game does not already naturally offer.

The Linux port is flawless.

Go and get it if you like puzzles.

Eets Munchies is your run of the mill tablet puzzle game. The premise is simple, get to the cake in the level, while gathering smaller edibles to unlock items for the level maker. To do so, you must place down objects to interact with that can move other objects around or create barriers.

I believe that these puzzlers should stay on tablets, and not become part of Steam. If you really want it, buy it on a tablet for the $3 it is on there.

Eets Munchies a phone-esque puzzle game where you place items throughout a level, press go, and see if your character (who moves by himself) navigates and collects the level as you planned.

Overview:
Eets Munchies is an amazing puzzle game, which has a large emphasis on "trial and error". This game has amazing animations to go along with unique worlds with a range of obstacles and solutions. In my opinion, this game was made for touchscreen devices as it also lacks options which makes it difficult to fiddle around.

═══════════════════════════════════
Positives:
☆Provides challenges which require you to think.
☆Animations are good.
☆World/levels are unique.
☆Sound effects are good.
☆Ability to create/play levels via the Steam workshop.

Negatives:
☆Music was repetitive.
☆Option menu simple and lacking. Ability to toggle off sound/music only.

═══════════════════════════════════
Summary:
Overall, this game showed signs of replayability with access to the workshop, accompanied by great sound effects and a colourful art style. I found it an entertaining, 2D puzzle game which you can easily pick up and play.

Nice, one-evening puzzle game reminding me the best hours spent on classics as "Lemings" (main character is out of your control) and "Incredible Machine" (due to idea of placing tools to cause a proper sequence of events and to let your little hero get to the cake).

I didn't like the levels where real-time interaction is needed. It simply means that you need to click fast enough to achieve the result, which should be available with pure IQ, I believe ;)

The main problem is the game's lenght, it's seems to be possible to finish the default single player levels in 1-2 hours. There is workshop available and some additional levels created by the community, but, you know...

(Pay no attention to the "Hours on record"; Got this in a Humble Bundle ages ago with a standalone executable).

It's one of those "Incredible Machine" type puzzle games. You place objects on the field, then press the "Go" button to send a thing to a place. The game boils down to trial-and-error, but the game's short enough that it doesn't become boring. The music is peppy, the animations are cute, and a few of the puzzles might surprise you.

This is a game about a piranha/rabbit thing who has a sweet tooth, your goal is to get the cookies/cake/icecream, but you need the help of your little friends to get there.
This game is a rube goldberg maker, you try and get the end objective using other things causing a chain reaction, it does this nicely, the whole thing has a nice cute feel. But it does feel a bit like somthing I would play on my ipad.

7/10 its a nice game if you like chain reaction/casual games, but it isnt worth $7 if you arent.

Eets munchies is a 2D puzzle game for Windows by Klei.

Menu:
I am not afraid to say this is clearly intended for mobile devices. The menu is non existant the only thing i can tell you is that you can turn game music or audio on or off. The game starts windowed and there is no option to fullscreen. You can use Alt+Enter to make it fullscreen regardless and it will nicely scale without changing your resolution. Now in fullscreen the problem is that you can't reach your Windows volume control anymore so you should preset this.

Controls:
You control the game with your mouse. No controller support though that doesn't really fit here anyway. There are moments where you control devices with your keyboard however those are not rebindable.

Ingame:
Ofcourse this is what you really need to look at incase of mobile games. You are presented with colourful worlds in which you need to guide your character Eets through cases of emotional distress and to the cake. Reaching the cake can be easy or very challenging. Remembering that there are physics involved for example shooting Eets off a platform with a cannon. There are a good set of items available to help you progress for example Chili's that make Eets angry and jump higher, Bounce flowers to launch Eets in a set direction or bombs to blow away walls.

Did you beat all the levels? Try some of the user made levels or create your own with the steam workshop or puzzle creator.

Achievements:
There are 14 of them and are mostly linked to beating the game.

DLC:
Not available.

Conclusion:
If you have some spare change and you like cute 2D puzzle games then this is a good one.

Eets is cute as a button so its a shame this is a poop game. It is impossible to recommend this for 7 bucks because its an overpriced app at that point. its weird locked resolution and gameplay design (using the 3 stars per level system) just reinforce that. The levels range from easy (place the items and press go) to pull-out-your-hair hard, but not in the "Oh, it just requires some advanced logic" way, but in the "Oh, I have to put these in the correct spot DOWN TO THE PIXEL, so I spend time trying to get it correct over and over, despite knowing how to complete the level" and it just feels unfair sometimes. To the games credit the latter assorment of levels are few in number. But...then again...there aren't a lot of levels to begin with. Eh. Only played this past the 2nd world or so for the easy 100% game.

The original Eets was a game with a new concept that took the gameplay of Lemmings and narrowed it down to one character, allowing for a lot more room for puzzle solving.

Eets Munchies, on the other hand, has you paying $7 for an iPhone style (and quality) game.

The resolution is capped in a very weird form that just ensures it was clearly built for mobile (going in fullscreen leads to big black bars on either side), and the system of "different worlds, few levels, 3 stars" that can be seen in games like Angry Birds is here.

The presentation of Eets is wonderful (even with resolution restraints) but the execution is off. Puzzles are either ridiculously easy or incredibly hard due to countless errors in timing. Think of it like the puzzles in Portal 2 compared to Portal: you understand how to set up the puzzle and you should get it done properly, but if your timing is off than your work is for nothing.

Not to mention of course that the only changes since the "beta" version were 2 other worlds, one of them being the "mystery" world, which is chock-full of those timing oriented puzzles.

Too easy, too short, and too little. Maybe buy this on iOS when it's cheaper and they plan on updating with more levels.

Eets Munchies is a very short and casual puzzle game. Klei Entertainment does it again with this charming little title.

You can expect anywhere between 2-4 hours in this game (more if you tinker with the workshop) with 60 well-made puzzles. The first 36 or so puzzles are not very hard and I noticed that the final quarter of the game has some of the easiest levels ever. Thankfully, the mystery levels provide a decent challenge that can at least stimulate your brain a little bit.

I feel that there could have been a little bit more variety if the items given to you weren't pre-determined. There are only a few ways you can solve each puzzle due to these limitations. I guess that's what the workshop is for. Hopefully the built-in puzzle editor will boost the game's difficulty.

This game was quite entertaining for the 2+ hours it took to 100%.

Eets Munchies is a little puzzle platformer that reminds me with some elements on the ancient "Incredible Machines" games.
It feels just like a ordinary Flash/Director game and has funny slapstick music and movements. If you wonder the first start up - there is no fullscreen. On a full HD resolution you play in a pretty small window. Nevertheless the graphics are cute and original, but sometimes they are distracting you from finding the solution.
Your aim is to place special machines or special food for Eets to lead him to the final cake on a rope.
It's a short game but fortunately there is a level editor included. So you'll have lots of new levels in further time ...
