關於此遊戲

Daedalic Entertainment, once called “Lucasarts from Germany“ by the GameStar magazine, invites the players into a fantastic comedy adventure that revolves around a crazy love story of Rufus and Goal.

In Deponia, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump, in which the crotchety Rufus ekes out his sorry existence. He is part of the lowest social class, doomed to live his life in literal mountains of trash. He hopes for an opportunity to get into the world of the rich, who live in a floating city high above the clouds. Fate seems to smile on the snotty good-for-nothing when one day the attractive lady named Goal from the higher sector plummets into one of the trash heaps. Rufus decides to help the young woman out by taking her back to her husband. When he notices that Goal's husband is a dead ringer for himself, he hatches a diabolical scheme to gain access to the upper world. However, things don't work out quite as planned, since he has feelings for the beauty which limits his usual unscrupulousness.

Help Rufus, the poor boy from the junkyard, to win over the girl from heaven. Only with this rich girl from his dreams he might be able to escape Deponia and, unexpectedly, to save the planet.

Key Features:

  • Unique comic style with hand-drawn HD resolution 2D graphics

Deponia stars Rufus who is probably the least likely person to be a hero in a game I’ve played in ages. He’s lazy, stubborn, not exceptionally bright, unorganized, and he keeps chucking himself into the sky only to come crashing down; you’d think he would’ve gotten the point by now and learned the sky isn’t having none of his shenanigans. Did I mention that he also reeks of Guybrush Threepwood charm? Fortunately enough all this makes for the perfect combination of characters in a story that’s just as wacky as the inhabitants of a city made of trash.

The only downside to the wonderful animation is that it's often difficult to pick out objects you can interact with, given that they blend so neatly into the background.
Rather handily, you can press the spacebar to highlight all the interactive objects in a scene, but oddly, this rather useful feature isn't pointed out to you at all during the game.
Objects that you pick up like Rufus' mouldy sock are placed into your inventory, which means that yes, you have to make sure you pick up everything in a given scene, lest you have to trek back for it later in order to solve a puzzle.

Still, while some puzzles leave you scratching your head in confusion for a while, the mostly sensible solutions make for a satisfying experience.
Breaking up all the object puzzling are simple minigames, such as solving a jigsaw of broken mosaic pieces, or testing your spatial awareness with rotating block puzzles.
There's even the odd conversational puzzle to deal with too. A process of trial and error means they're hardly taxing, but thanks to some fantastic writing and voice acting and the collection of characters, those exchanges are wonderfully entertaining.
Best of all is an exchange with a malfunctioning postal robot that mixes clever wordplay with a ludicrous subject for a charmingly funny and increasingly complex barrage of rhyme.

Unfortunately, it all ends rather abruptly. Just as things really begin to heat up and you think the many questions raised are to be answered, the game stops. It's a crushing disappointment. To add insult to injury, the game flashes up a "The End…?

So the game looks absolutely gorgeous. Everything is beautifully drawn and the characters animate well enough. I’d say my only complaints are that things you can interact with are completely blended into the environment due to the art style and that the animations could use a few more frames.
Thankfully the first issue is alleviated by pressing the space bar to show an icon on any objects you can interact with. The voice acting has the right amount of charm to it as does the music.

Score: 86 / 100

A fantastic adventure game, featuring some extremely intelligent riddles that require deep thinking. At the same time, it narrates a beautiful story, one that takes place in a setting very different than those of most games.

Germany. Elegant cars, cold winter, awesome beer. Ok, I'm definitely relying too much on stereotypes, but from now on we could surely add "very nice point and click adventure games" to that list. Interesting enough, german developers released a lot of good adventure games in the last few years, becoming probably the main contributor to this little "renaissance" of the point and click genre. And Deponia is one the best examples.

Someone described Daedalic as "the European Lucasarts" and I'm not entirely sure I can agree to that, but their games are solid. Very good story, challenging puzzles, polished graphics, everything is surely above average, Deponia is definitely a nice game. Characters are crazy enough to make you often laugh, A LOT of location to explore, non linear puzzle solving, and Daedalic recently added new languages, which is always kind. As a first chapter of a trilogy Deponia works just fine, the player is always pushed to play more to see how the plot will evolve. I got stuck two or three times, which is great in my opinion, 'cause it means they focused a lot on the intellectual challenge of the game and not only on the narrative side.

Definitely worth a shot, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Good game with a nice story.

✓ Nice story.
✓ Great sound track and voice act.

✖ Sometimes annoying with hard puzzles.

This is the funniest game I've played in a long time and also a new favorite. Point and click games were never really my thing but this one doesn't disappoint. Rufus and crew are hilarious, the story is good and the puzzles are challenging without being frustrating. I highly recommend this to fans of point and click and/or comedy. :D

[May contain spoilers. Read with caution.]

I don't think I have words to describe this game.

I don't think I am even capable of remotely justifying how much I loved every second of my Deponia playthrough.

This is the kind of game I had been needing for a long time. Not because of its genre. Because of its charm. Its passion and attention to detail. Its... OK, you get the point.

You play as Rufus, a despicable inhabitant of the massive wasteland that is Deponia, and a damn cool character all around. No matter how many messes he has and is still getting into, you will definitely take his side in every confront of the game - because, well, it's him who you're rooting for since the beginning! This, blended with the game's very lively sense of humour and the intelligent puzzles that come along the way, make for an outstanding experience in Rufus' egotistical point of view.

It's difficult not to love Goal. She is adorable even while in her unfortunate damaged status, and becomes even more lovable after waking up and realising what is going on. On a more personal side, perhaps I may have connected her far too much to someone I love - but let's not get that in the way, shall we? At least for now.

Overall, this... game? Wait, scratch that. To classify Deponia as a simple "game" is to insult this masterpiece of humour, storytelling and cringe-inducing moments.
So, if you're not even remotely interested in getting it for you and giving it a go, I'd recommend checking your brain activity and blood pressure. I'm serious.

Damn Cletus.

HUZZAH, THE CHORUS GUYS RULE!

Short Verdict: Must-have for point-and-click fans. Nice humor, interesting story, great puzzles, unique characters, hours of fun!

Overview: Deponia is the first game in the adventure, point-and-click trilogy made by Daedelic. You control Rufus, a self-centered jerk who, more than anything, hates Deponia - some kind of a junkyard planet - and wishes to go to Elysium, following his dad's footsteps. The result is a game full of comedy, awkward moments packed with fun, and even some romance.

Pros:
  • The interface is really great and easy to navigate
  • The story is interesting, packed with good quality humor, and you'll probably have lots of fun in the way
  • Good length for an adventure game
  • The puzzles are really nice and sober--the game provides you not-too-obvious hints when you interact with the world and they've really hit the perfect mark in this aspect. Also, if you need additional in-game help, you can press space to see the hotspots, which is always good as an option. You probably won't need a guide, if you can deal with just the right amount of frustration that pushes you forward.
  • Characters are really cool and fun. The main character is embarrassingly annoying, but that allows for some "role play", you can say, when you try to think like he would as you try to solve the puzzles.
  • Great voice acting
  • The 2D graphics are really amazing
  • The BGM is really awesome--specially the Huzzah songs
  • The cliffhanger for the next game is just perfect--it closes a chapter really well, but you'll want to know what happens next

Cons:
  • The game crashed a few times for me (probably 2 or 3), mostly after videos. But it was so rare, it didn't annoy me much, especially because the autosave prevented me from losing progress.
  • Some people report that a few of the achievements didn't unlock for them, but I didn't have any problem with them (maybe it was fixed after a recent update, idk), except for the Droggeljug one (I did use the shortcut, though, and it eventually unlocked)
  • Speaking of which, Droggeljug is probably one of the worst ideas I've seen in a game. All sentences, characters' names, item's names and literally every text in the game is replaced with "Droggeljug", from start to finish. But it's just a bonus mode you unlock after beating the game, so not a big deal. Still, it's so stupid I had to mention it.

Bought on: Scorched Bundle by Bundle Stars for an average of US$ 0.27. This amount is ridiculously low for such an awesome game. The full Steam price is not exactly a steal, but I think it's fair. If you don't have any of the games in the trilogy and think this game is for you, it might be a better idea to buy The Complete Journey (the full trilogy) instead.

Verdict: If you're a fan of adventures and point-and-clicks, you most definitely have to check Deponia! It's precious. I'm not easy to please when it comes to humor and comedy, but Deponia just manages to do it better than all other games I've played (well, maybe except for Sam & Max, imnsho). Also, like I've said, the puzzles are really smart, the story is interesting, characters are unique, and basically everything you need in an adventure game is there. Don't miss it!

Let me start off by saying that I am new to point-and-click games. I bought the Deponia trilogy when it went on sale for $14 on greenmangaming. Worth? I think so. I really liked the story because it has it's funny moments. But I suppose because I am new to this genre, I would often find myself stuck and wondering what do next. If it wasn't for online walkthroughs I would never have completed this game. But after completing it with much help, I'm glad I picked it up. It was fun, memorable, and something that I am not used to playing. I suppose trying something new was what made this game refreshing for me. I would recommend it for that reason alone. Buy if on sale.

This entertaining point and click adventure presents some difficult puzzles that require some elaborate thinking and therefore completing them releases a sense of satisfaction into ones mind. It takes place in a rather interesting universe that is somewhat different than the normal catch in most games nowadays. It also presents a beautiful story and a set of characters that I felt - somewhat - attached to. Hussa-hussa onwards to the sequel we march!

I can officially call this game, in my books, the definition of an adventure point and click puzzle game.

Fantastic story, great humor, difficult puzzles and riddles.
This game has everything. I really enjoyed it, and it was worth the 2 euros (I bought it off a 90% deal) and I'll make sure to buy the rest remaining of the trilogy.

10/10 for me.

This was... weird. I mean, it was a good point-and-clicker. The puzzles worked, and were neither totally illogical nor too easy. Probably the only reason I played it through to the end was because the puzzles were compelling. The world-building is very thorough and clever. The story was decent, but predictable, and brought down by the characters. Deponia is a fun setting that deserves a better story and characters happening in it. The one-liners sometimes got a chuckle from me, but...

My two big complaints: First, the main character is not likeable in the least. They tried to write him a sarcastic, misunderstood oddball, but instead he's just a filthy, self-centered, misogynist jerk. He has a few decent one-liners, but he has remarkably few redeeming qualities beyond that. And hanging a lampshade on it by having literally every other character in the game also hate him doesn't actually make it better, and in some ways it makes it worse.
Second, what is with the rampant misogyny? The female protagonist (if you can call her that) is comatose for almost the entire game, and is treated as nothing more than an inconveniently large inventory item for most of it. Heck, one of the early scenes, she's basically being auctioned off (while comatose) by the mayor of the town to the men of the town to do what they like with her, and the major puzzle sequence is how the main character can eliminate his competitors to claim her as his possession. Heck, her name is Goal. She's a prize, not a person, for the entire game. And the only other female character in the game is the stereotypical violent, incessantly nagging ex, entirely one-dimensional, just one sitcom joke about her nagging after another. Is that all women are, Daedalic? Either pliant, helpless, brain-dead prizes to be won or violent nagging shrews? I think you can do better.

Long story short, if clever puzzles and thorough world-building are enough to carry you through a game, go ahead and get/play this one. If you're just really into point-and-click adventure for the sake of a good puzzle (like me), get it on at least 50% discount, and it might be worth your time. Otherwise, I'd pass this one up.

Maybe the sequel will be better.

I really, really want to like this game. I really, really do. The art is pretty, and I usually love point-and-click adventure games with comedic bends, but Deponia just falls flat. Some of the jokes are pretty funny, but Rufus falls on the wrong side of the line between "charming/witty/loveable jerk" and just plain "jerk" more often than not. It's really difficult for me to enjoy playing a game when the main character grates on me so badly.

Overall, I found the trilogy enjoyable. I loved all the art in this. The backgrounds were very interesting, detailed, and beutifully portrayed a wide variety of the many towns cities landscapes, and other areas of this trash-heap of a planet. The character designs had this simplistic "kiddy" style that I found particularyly appealing. I think that the characters designs were pretty effective in expressing each characer wtih a huge variety of characters of many shapes, sizes, and postures. The art of the game, while playing, overall reminded me of pajamasam, being a point-and-click adventure with upbeat, "kiddy" looking characters in combination with a vast world of many areas drasticly differeing from one another in tone and atmosphere.

Now with gamplay, well... Puzzles in this game, thinking back now, where ususally ridiculously hard to solve. I was stuck several times only to look at a walkthrough only to find that the answer makes me think "how in the world was I supposed to figure THAT out." Without the walkthrough I porbably would not have finished the game. I already spent like a good hour sitting there trying to think of answers. I did NOT have the patience of trying EVERYTHING on EVERYTHING so it was either use my own logic to its most abstract limits or the walkthrough. There were sometimes were I was on a roll in solving puzzels and that was pretty satisfying.

The voice acting was pretty decent. It sure beats Dream. My friend told me he quickly got tired of Rufus' voice but I wasn't too bothered. I was pretty invested in the story. The story was the otherthing besides the art that kept me playing. It has some cool twists and reveals that suprised me. Aand I think the ending of the trilogy beats Mass Efect's.

This game is deffinitely worth buying if you like click games where you combined items together to create something useful in the future.

The game graphics is safe for people who can´t handle bright and strong colours, it´s made with care and will probably make you smile as they bring you as a member in the game.

Sure you control the main character even tho the main character see you as a different person. All of the characters in the game are pretty well made and easy to get know.
The details in the game are amazing and sure deserves a thumbs up to the game designer.

The story this game is breathe taking and will make you want to finish it as fast as possible.
If you are new to these kind of games I would deffinitely suggest Deponia for you.

I really hope this helped and I really enjoyed the game, texture, voice acting and all the well thought details.

Funny, interesting, puzzles were good, and so was the storyline. Somehow I liked how everyone disliked the main character. This game makes fun of how the hero is always this person that everyone "loves/idolised" :) because he claims that is what everyone does, love him that is.

Deponia games are by far the most hilarious I've ever played, being a great example of well designed old-school point-and-click at the same time. Crazy script, brought to life with the top notch voice acting, interesting world and the protagonist you just can't love (and if you can, no problem, He loves himself more that anyone else ever could). Discover your inner idiot trying to figure out the solutions to whacky challenges Rufus faces on his path to his destiny - the flying city of Elysium.

Q: I say ol' chap, do you like point and click adventure games?

A: Why, yes, yes I do!

Q: Good show, and may I say, that is a smashing blouse you have on. Do you by chance like the indie cartoon art style in games that reminds you of Dragon's Lair?

A: er...I'm not wearing a blouse but YES!! I LOVE DRAGONS LAIR!!...wait...is this where you are going to say that this game is none of those?

Q: Why then you have come to the right place!! (plebian...). This game has it all! The epic story line with this being the begining of the trilogy, whimsical puzzles, quirky humour that is a staple of this genre, the cheesy one liners from its awkward protagonist, the strong female damsel in distress who probably would have been better off if she had never met said main protagonist...

A: But...

Q: But....there are a number of bugs, especially *spoiler ol'chap* when you are on top of the post office. Trust me when I say that you should make a seperate save just before you enter the post office as there is a bug that doesn't always happen but it can where you can't climb back down the ladder. being stuck up there whilst doing a DroggleJug speed run is not fun, trust me. *end spoiler*

A: So is it worth having?

Q: Oh my my YES! its a must have of any fan of the genre, it even works quite well with a touch screen (played on a surface pro 3) although you dont have access to the space bar hint but then hints are for the WEAK!!...thinking about it...are'nt I supposed to be the one asking questions?

A: You just did ask a question.

Q: Jolly good. Ahhh all is right in the world once more *Pours a cool glass of Pimms* Cheers! and give'm what for ol' chap!

Toodle pip
