About This Game

Listed among the "Top 100 PC Games Of All Time" by PC GAMER (2012), Divine Divinity is an epic role-playing game with hack-and-slash action, offering a huge world to explore and thousands of items to investigate, trade and use.

The game chronicles the never-ending battle between valiant heroes and the destructive powers of Chaos harnessed by the Black Ring, a cult of enduring evil. You play the role of the prophesised Chosen One who under the guidance of the wizard Zandalor must unite the seven races of Rivellon so that you may become the Divine One and stop the birth of the Lord of Chaos.

This new re-mastered version offers support for Windows 7 and higher resolutions.

Key Features:

  • An RPG of Epic Proportions
Experience an adventure that will last you over 100 hours, filled with tons of non-linear quests and offering an enormous world to explore!
  • Classless Character Development
You decide what kind of character you want to be! Start out as a warrior, wizard or survivor – each with his own unique ability – then freely choose between 96skills, regardless of your class.
  • Hack & Slash with a Twist
Fight dozens of different enemy types and obliterate them in visceral, fast-paced combat. Things getting a bit hectic for you? Then pause the game at will, and take your time to look over the battlefield - or drink that much needed health potion.
  • Interaction Galore
Discover the enormous amount of objects that can be investigated, traded, used and combined. Found some empty flasks and picked up some colourful mushrooms? Create potions! Obtained some vile-smelling poison? Daub it on your blade or arrow tips: your foes won't know what hit 'em!

This game seems to have a lot of potential, but basically consists of a few dungeons and repetitive enemies. If you do any quest out of order things get buggy really fast as well. I got the game for about $1 if I remember correctly, so it was worth that, but beyond that I wouldn't recommend it.

I installed this game on a new (2016) win10 gaming laptop and the graphics were glitchy and the frame rate stuttered. I tried to troubleshoot for a while and was unable to solve it. Steam wouldn't refund me. Don't buy this unless you have an older PC.

This is an GREAT game. I have almost nothing bad to say about this game. I have been a pc gamer in the past but went to consoles. Now I'm back to pc and I've just gotta say Wow. You just dont see these kinda games on consoles these days, and the price you just cant beat. I've only played about 4 hours and i gotta tell ya the graphics are still good. The only real issue I'm having right now is the trade screen (buying and selling items) I want to find out myself rather than looking on the internet but I guess I have to cause there is no tutorial on it in game. That is the only issue I have NO TUTORIAL. You realy have to figure it out. It might mean nothing to most people who have been playing on pc all his time, I think it does matter to people like me who are just getting in or back into pc gaming. So If dungeon crawling, finding hidden levers and solving quests are your thing then i recommend that you at least check this game out.

An 'old-school' CRPG that focus on exploration above lore and everything else. Plus it's extremely cheap during Summer Sale

Almost abandoned this game after the first few minutes because you stand in front of locked doors more often than not, but after i got the teleporter stones and headed into my first dungeon i got that diablo1/2 vibe and i can see now why it has good ratings. Horrible start to a game, thats the main reason i write a review, don't let it fool you. Hint: Look out for levers.

Everything is right in this game.

I got it very cheap in 10/2005 from a gaming magazine and played it a lot. The CD is scratchy now so I bought it on Steam.

* Best fitting game soundtrack I know (you can download it for free)
* Easy to understand control
* 3 male + 3 female player classes
* Extensive skill system, but not too complex (unlike P&P)
* Classic epic storyline with main quests and lots of side quests
* Some humorous elements to lighten up the mood
* You can amongst other things steal, sneak, break in, lockpick, perform magic or use brute force
* Big open world with many diverse localities and different races, secrets, caves, dungeons...
- Due to its age, the Steam overlay won't work, so you can't upload screenshots without using complicated workarounds.

Be prepared to get disorientated at the beginning. It takes a while until you know where you must go. Just enter the darkness, talk to everyone and make use of the saving option.

Absolutely Lovely!

This is a very original piece, thoughtfully created and executed to a famously high degree.

I think that i could recommend this game to 80% of the people who would have a steam account.

I'm not exagerating, I've played almost an hour and have no ♥♥♥♥ing clue what the hell I'm doing.
I haven't even left the first village yet. I keep going into stores and emtpy houses and taking everything in them, reading random books and petting a cat. I finally found the gate leading out of the town, 30 minutes in and some knight killed some orcs and told me to get my ♥♥♥ back inside. Then he told me to go find some healers, and now I'm running around into random houses trying to figure out who the hell he's talking about.
At one point I stumbled into a store where I encountered a dwarf arguing with an elf ( at least, I think they were a dwarf and elf, it's kinda hard to tell. One was short and fat, so I assume he's the dwarf ) about some herbs, and the dwarf was getting shakey.
I also came across some dragon statues, so, naturally, I clicked 'em a few times and they spun around. They didn't seem to really do anything other than spin.

10/10 would ♥♥♥♥ around in the starting town for almost an hour again.

This game is fantastic.

As simple as the graphics are, your mind fills in the blanks. You get a sense of the world you are in without the need for better eye candy.

The quests are fun. The dungeons are challenging. There is plenty to steal. There are mysteries, easter eggs and all manner of mayhem.

The hours I have logged from Steam came about when I was between mighty desktops and needed a game to slake my thirst in the interim. This one fit the bill: low sys requirements - obviously. Quite honestly I didn't expect to become as immersed in it as I did.

Wonderful stuff.

And damn - .89 USD during the summer sale.

You would be a fool to pass it up - even if you only had a modicum of interest.

Hell. I would even consider buying it for you.

Just buy it.

What.

Are you some cheapskate that enjoys missing out on a good opportunity to pick up a great game?!?

What is wrong with you?

Buy the damned thing. It's good. Man are you thick in the head.

ADD IT TO YOUR CART ALL READY.

I've played other rpg's in the past. Mostly jrpg's, fallout, and elderscrolls type rpg's. This was my first isometric crpg and I loved it. From the story line, to the gameplay. I loved the simplicity of it. The story hooks you in right away. I also love all the other little stories they had from the books inside the game. The beginning of the game can be a little hard if you don't place your skills just right. But later on it gets more customizable. Beat it and loved it.

Just a quick note for Windows 8 and 10 users.
Use the "Windows 8 Performance "Patch"" if you encounter lag spikes / low fps,
