Felt like living in the TV show

Good RPG mechanics, amazing soundtrack, interesting story and... Well it's South Park. I've been blown away by the amount of references in the game. Obsidian knows how to make good games and knows how to make RPGs. You can't miss this if you're a South Park fan. Also doesn't require UPlay which is good.

One of if not the greatest use of a TV license for any game ever! Kudos to Matt Stone and Trey Parker for remaining faithful to their franchise and creating an interactive episode of South Park.
Highlights of this game include fast travel, full healing between battles, clever buddy system for combat, and a simple yet deep equipment system that simply works well.
If you are a fan of South Park, turn based RPGs, or better yet both, South Park: The Stick Of Truth is a game you owe to yourself to play.

I love South Park and this game is on point! The story and humor are exactly like in the series. All together the game is just a huge fanservice for over a 12h story and good replayability.

MUST BUY FOR SOUTH PARK FANS. Played it just to be hyped vor the fractured but whole.

How to review a game where you kill a queefing giant spider, fart on a man's balls to destroy a spell, and travel to canada, which is some kind of zelda-esque fantasy-land?
To be honest I didn't initially like Southpark Stick of Truth, as it was leaning too heavily on old tropes, and the engine was buggy as ♥♥♥♥. The engine is still buggy as ♥♥♥♥. It will always be buggy. Unfortunately you have to edit an .ini to remove the issue of stuttering audio - what is this, the 90's? Seriously, sound should be the last of your worries, and editing .ini's hasn't been a thing since the early 2000's.
Also the tutorialising is ♥♥♥♥, and they packed way too much into a small space in terms of gameplay, rather than polishing a smaller number of features. That in itself lets the game down. But I have to recommend it, if only barely - it's enjoyable, in a way that only south park can be. The immature humour, while occasionally crossing over into genuine offensiveness (watching kids get ♥♥♥♥♥ by aliens is not cool, even if they're male), is for the most part pretty fun - Matt Stone and Trey Park's inability to make sense of global warming and it's ramifications notwithstanding, that shouldn't really deter you. Good points:
- The special attacks are often hilarious - particularly kenny's. Getting skewed by a unicorn and dying because you don't correctly implement a technique is gold.
- The cartoon style from the series works pretty damn well as a game graphic novelty
- the fighting, while easy as ♥♥♥♥ even on ultra-hardcore mode, is fun
- Ludicrous weaponry

While it strays into the 'too many things' category too often, rather than tightening core play, it's still worth your time. But I didn't really want to recommend it because of the engine issues... until I went to canada. Then, all is forgiven.
