"Probably the best licensed game since Riddick, a light RPG with good loot customisation and the crude humour you would expect from South Park. 30fps o_o"

I've played all the South Park games, and honestly I wasn't going to give this a try. But I said What The Heck and bought it for 40$. This game is really good. The story is fantastic, the humor is great, the gameplay is amazing, and I just love it all.

First, the story. Talks about the Evles VS Humans. Cartman is leader of the Humans, Kyle is the leader of the Elves. They are in a constant war for the "Stick of Truth" because "For whoever controls the stick, controls the universe" Keep in mind that it is not real violence, and they're actually hitting each other with sticks, it's all imagination. It is made to look like real violence, but it really isn't.

Second, the humor. I love the script of this game. Cartman has probably the best lines. It's just amazing how they got the humor so perfect. South Park fans will love this part.

Third, Gameplay. It's a normal RPG with a few tweaks. First of all, enemies aren't random, and you can avoid most of them, except bosses. One of my favorite parts is that your PP (Power Points) and HP (Health Points) regain by themselves when you finish the battle. That way you don't waste your items. There are certain abilities you can have depending on your class, Jew, Fighter, Mage, or Theif. Each of these abilities are unique in their own way. For example, Theif has a backstab, and Fighter has a move where you kick someone in the balls. You can also get Fart Magic, which is honestly the funniest battle mechanic ever. You unlock the abilities the more you level up, and can level up each ability up to a certain level (4 or 5 I believe). There's also tons of sidequests. This is probably one of my favorite RPG's ever.

Fourth, Customization. There are tons of customization options. Througout the game you can get wigs, facial features, and even clothes you can wear the make you stronger. Sadly you cannot be a girl, but you can make yourself look like one. You can modify your weapons and clothes to have certain colors or abilities. Things called "Perks" are unlocked by having friends in South Park. The more friends, the more perks. These perks make you stronger or weaker. You can modify your weapons and clothes by adding little patches that have certain abilities, like 20% more money, or Gross Damage, or even Bleeding. Tons of option here, you wont get upset by that.

Things I don't like about the game: First, it's really freaking short. It's not worth the 60$ it used to be, so they dropped it to 40. I reccomend waiting for a sale at like, 35 or even 30. Now the Saving feature in this game is absolute bullcrap. When you save it might save a little bit before where you actually were, making you have to do a battle or 2 again. Another thing I don't like is how the difficulty suddenly raises halfway through the game. Then again you can customize the difficulty to your taste at any time.

This game really is good, but it does have some faults. Also, you can fart on people, highly recommended if you're into this humor and gametype. I'd say wait till it's on sale though, not worth the 40$ in my opinion.

If you liked/like South Park this is worth playing, it really is just like playing an episode of the tv show.

The comedy/South Park flavor is good, a lot of it taken straight from the show.

The RPG parts are a bit light for my tastes, very easy, and stats/leveling up/equipment didn't seem to matter very much.

Combat was very uneven, it felt hard at the start, but once you get the hang of it, it's very easy, not very strategic.

This game has a lot more in common with Costume Quest than Dragon Age

I enjoyed it very much and I'd probably play a sequel.

"Respect my Authorita!"

If you are a south park fan! This is the game for you!
The gameplay is turn based with a lot of focus on quick button pressing for defending against attacks making it more engaging than usual. Lot of turn based games let you decide your moves and you can sit back to see them play out, but not here. You have to pay attention, you have to understand delays in enemy attacks and block when they attack. Similarly, when you attack, you need to time it to give maximum damage.

The humor is good, did not find the rpg elements to bear me down with boring side quests. Everything is South Park related. If you know the show, you will get the references.

Awesome game!

I came to South Park: The Stick of Truth having watched about 3 episodes of the show many years ago, remembering that I hadn't really got it. I left a not just a fan of the game, but of the show and now have over half the series on DVD.

Not only are the plot of this game supremely South Park it is also a very solid RPG in and of itself.

+ Constantly humorous
+ Interesting (but small) world to explore
+ Fan service for South Park fans
+ Good length considering the source material

- Simplistic, unchallenging combat
- Spotty save system

South Park fans rejoice! This game is fanservice at its best. As an unabashed South Park fan, this game had me literally laughing out loud for most of the game. If you are a South Park fan, do not hesitate to buy The Stick of Truth! If you're not, I'm afraid that the RPG-style gameplay may be a bit dull and a bit too easy to keep you interested. You'll find yourself spamming the same couple of attacks in every battle. The timed button presses make it a bit more engaging, but once you're doing them by muscle memory... battle kinda becomes a chore.
There are a fair amount of collectable elements that make exploring all the nooks and crannies of the seemingly shrunken town of South Park more interesting, at least on the first playthough. Absolutely no grinding, very few fetch quests, and the game doesn't draw anything out unneccisarily, making it short but sweet. It's sort of like an RPG for people who don't play RPG's, but honestly the gameplay is just there to add a 'game' element to what is otherwise a long episode of South Park.
Be wary of the autosave system! Reloading a game may mean you have to go back and re-do something because it doesn't save your exact moment of progress! Pay attention each time you load your game, as there are some missable collectables! I missed out on a major achievement because of this wonky system. TALK TO CLYDE AS SOON AS YOU ENTER KUPA KEEP! You'll thank me later!

89/100
Funny and fun, South Park fans should definitely play this! This RPG-stlye game is simple, but doesn't drag you through hours of pointless distractions.

Game that I wanted so much. Most expensive game that I've ever bought . It's really worth the money. Has a great storyline and the graphics are ♥♥♥♥ing amazing. Has the same style as the cartoon and gameplay is amazing. Combat style is unique and it's cool that you can free roam around South Park . Game is full of secrets and it needs you to take time while playing it if you want to get everything in the game. To complete it 100 % you need to be super careful because some stuff are only available in some missions etc ... Amazing game but it's really short which sucks but it's good till' it lasts .

Great game.

Storyline , comedy and gameplay are all of the highest standard .

Only downside is its pretty easy even on "Hardcore" ( gets harder near the end of the game )

A Must buy for South Park fans and also fans of turnbased RPG

This is literally one of my favourite games. Not just for the fact I love South Park, but just because it is so ♥♥♥♥ing amazing. You can create your own character and choose your own class then roam the streets. I've spent 3 hours in this game exploring the map for gods sake! The story line is hilarious, the gameplay is hilarious, and I just love erverything about it. I do HIGHLY recomend for South Park fans.
