This game is surprising. You know when you buy it, you are going to get a southpark franchise game. What you do not expect is the story is be gripping, and with some level of depth. You dont expect the RPG aspects to actually have some meat to them and real thought needs to be put into what you do and do not wear.

bottom line - This game is worth every penny of 30 dollars or more. If you are a die hard SouthPark fan, then its worth the full 60. For people who simply want a fun game with no super intense thought to put in, this hits every mark possible. Its graphically amusing, insults everything you would expect, and even surprises you often with "why did they put this there, this is awesome!".

A Must pick up for casual RPG players and REALLY sets a bar that the new game must achieve or will flop.

SHREK

Written by
William Steig & Ted Elliott

SHREK
Once upon a time there was a lovely
princess. But she had an enchantment
upon her of a fearful sort which could
only be broken by love's first kiss.
She was locked away in a castle guarded
by a terrible fire-breathing dragon.
Many brave knights had attempted to
free her from this dreadful prison,
but non prevailed. She waited in the
dragon's keep in the highest room of
the tallest tower for her true love
and true love's first kiss. (laughs)
Like that's ever gonna happen. What
a load of - (toilet flush)

Allstar - by Smashmouth begins to play. Shrek goes about his
day. While in a nearby town, the villagers get together to go
after the ogre.

NIGHT - NEAR SHREK'S HOME

MAN1
Think it's in there?

MAN2
All right. Let's get it!

MAN1
Whoa. Hold on. Do you know what that
thing can do to you?

MAN3
Yeah, it'll grind your bones for it's
bread.

Shrek sneaks up behind them and laughs.

SHREK
Yes, well, actually, that would be a
giant. Now, ogres, oh they're much worse.
They'll make a suit from your freshly
peeled skin.

MEN
No!

SHREK
They'll shave your liver. Squeeze the
jelly from your eyes! Actually, it's
quite good on toast.

MAN1
Back! Back, beast! Back! I warn ya!
(waves the torch at Shrek.)

Shrek calmly licks his fingers and extinguishes the torch. The
men shrink back away from him. Shrek roars very loudly and long
and his breath extinguishes all the remaining torches until the
men are in the dark.

SHREK
This is the part where you run away.
(The men scramble to get away. He laughs.)
And stay out! (looks down and picks
up a piece of paper. Reads.) "Wanted.
Fairy tale creatures."(He sighs and
throws the paper over his shoulder.)

THE NEXT DAY

There is a line of fairy tale creatures. The head of the guard
sits at a table paying people for bringing the fairy tale creatures
to him. There are cages all around. Some of the people in line
are Peter Pan, who is carrying Tinkerbell in a cage, Gipetto
who's carrying Pinocchio, and a farmer who is carrying the three
little pigs.

GUARD
All right. This one's full. Take it
away! Move it along. Come on! Get up!

HEAD GUARD
Next!

GUARD
(taking the witch's broom) Give me that!
Your flying days are over. (breaks the
broom in half)

HEAD GUARD
That's 20 pieces of silver for the witch.
Next!

GUARD
Get up! Come on!

HEAD GUARD
Twenty pieces.

LITTLE BEAR
(crying) This cage is too small.

DONKEY
Please, don't turn me in. I'll never
be stubborn again. I can change. Please!
Give me another chance!

OLD WOMAN
Oh, shut up. (jerks his rope)

DONKEY
Oh!

HEAD GUARD
Next! What have you got?

GIPETTO
This little wooden puppet.

PINOCCHIO
I'm not a puppet. I'm a real boy. (his
nose grows)

HEAD GUARD
Five shillings for the possessed toy.
Take it away.

PINOCCHIO
Father, please! Don't let them do this!
Help me!

Gipetto takes the money and walks off. The old woman steps up
to the table.

HEAD GUARD
Next! What have you got?

OLD WOMAN
Well, I've got a talking donkey.

HEAD GUARD
Right. Well, that's good for ten shillings,
if you can prove it.

OLD WOMAN
Oh, go ahead, little fella.

Donkey just looks up at her.

HEAD GUARD
Well?

OLD WOMAN
Oh, oh, he's just...he's just a little
nervous. He's really quite a chatterbox.
Talk, you boneheaded dolt...

HEAD GUARD
That's it. I've heard enough. Guards!

OLD WOMAN
No, no, he talks! He does. (pretends
to be Donkey) I can talk. I love to
talk. I'm the talkingest damn thing
you ever saw.

HEAD GUARD
Get her out of my sight.

OLD WOMAN
No, no! I swear! Oh! He can talk!

The guards grab the old woman and she struggles with them. One
of her legs flies out and kicks Tinkerbell out of Peter Pan's
hands, and her cage drops on Donkey's head. He gets sprinkled
with fairy dust and he's able to fly.

DONKEY
Hey! I can fly!

PETER PAN
He can fly!

3 LITTLE PIGS
He can fly!

HEAD GUARD
He can talk!

DONKEY
Ha, ha! That's rig

I stopped watching South Park by the 3rd or 4th season, seen a few later episodes but the early stuff is defo a lot better. Even missing all those extra in-jokes this game was bloody hilarious. Solid mechanics and great story. If fractured but whole is even half as funny I'm gonna need new pants

I am one of these players of this game that haven't whatched the serie so much before playing the game. But I enjoyed the game so much. The characters are so funny and are very precise to how they are in the serie (as far as I've seen.).
The story is a fun and entertaining adventure you enjoy all the way through. Plus the side missions are so fun to do.
I think that you should try the game if you get the chance.

Good RPG mechanics, amazing soundtrack, interesting story and... Well it's South Park. I've been blown away by the amount of references in the game. Obsidian knows how to make good games and knows how to make RPGs. You can't miss this if you're a South Park fan. Also doesn't require UPlay which is good.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is a hillarious experience for everyone, even for those who dont watch South Park.
Your character, the new kid in south park, goes around and meets the main characters of the South Park show that we have grown to love. You meet Butters and get thrrown into a hillarious story line.
Wandering around South Park is funn attempting to freind as manny people as you can, but the game is very easy to beat, and unless your atempting to unlock all the achivements or find all the easter eggs in this game, you will find yourself finished with the game a lot faster then what you wanted to.

So this is the game of South Park. This game is by far the BEST south park game due to the fact it was made with Matt and Trey being there for the hole creation making it feel like you are really inside of the show, also if you have seen every episode all the way to 2014 you would really enjoy all the references within the show. There are SO many references in the game its great. So here are some pros and cons, by the way I havent finished this game (I only have 49 minutes so far) but I see so many great things in this game I really reccomend you to buy it.

Pros:
- Matt and Trey were heavily involved with the creation of the game so it gives the game a large feeling of the actuall show
- The fighting is really fun and is very interactive with the fighting not being just like Pokemon (no hate plz) where its just press this attack then they use the attack, in this game you have to time things and it's really fun!
Cons:
-So far none!

So this is my first look, when I finish the game I will update with a lengthier review, but so far I really reccomend this game to any fans of the show.

Use your potions. Liker seriously, every turn until your down to cleaning up the last guy. Most rpg's you never use potions cause you never need them, and you want to save them for a boss battle and end up never needing them there either. Maybe theyre expensive or hard to find in most rpgs. Not in South Park. You get a ton of every kind of potion for free everywhere. You can use them every turn, and never buy one, and you'll never run out. So really, feel free to use them early and often. Not using the potions can actually make even some trash battles very difficult.

Game is great. If you like the show, you'll like the storyline. Tons of inside jokes and references to old episodes. All the 'junk' that you accumulate (which btw you can freely sell, there is no crafting or any use for it whatsoever) is stuff mentioned in the episodes.

Tons of cameos from minor or incidental characters (underpants gnomes, lemmiwinks, etc).

Battle system takes a bit of getting used to. It's not purely a turn based rpg, there are some twitch elements to doing every action. But you get used to it and can just avoid any actions that you have trouble with and use others instead.
