"Another Sonic classic now on Steam. It's a good fun game, and the Chao Garden is literally the best part of the game. "

If there was ever an enjoyable Sonic game that was ported over to the PC it would be this game. But while the other Sonic Adventure was available for the PC at one point (2 disc version) this one came a little too late. However for those HD purists this game supports HD resolutions and fast load times. Just make sure you have an XBOX 360 Controller as this game is way too hard with the keyboard. For those people who have integrated Intel HD cards that supports pixel and vertex shading, you may have a hard time with the beginning level of the game where a certain portion of the game does not render propery (it starts with a truck going downhill) It won't happen on non intel cards however. Worth it to check it out though if it's on a sale. Being I was a huge Sonic fan however I did buy it the day it was released as this was the one that I wanted when it was finally released over the other Sonic games.

Sonic in his prime.

You hear about Sonic games sucking horribly now-a-days. Let me tell you. THIS ISN'T LIKE CURRENT SONC
This is the best 3D Sonic game out there, right there next to Sonic Adventure 1/dx.
It's speedy, fun, and has good replay value.
It's not unpolished and crappy like Sonic Boom and it's not glitchy and broken like Sonic 06.
It's what Sonic should be.

Another amazing Sega game, and arguably their final good one of the Sonic franchise. It is just as memorable and fun as the original Sonic Adventure game, but lacks the 'small' amount of free roam it used to have. You select from two teams: Hero and Dark, from which you play as 3 characters in a sequence of missions until the end-game and final boss, which I won't talk about as I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone.

I played this game when it came out on the Dreamcast, just like Sonic Adventure, and was never disappointed. It as another one of those games I could play day in and day out and holds many memories for me. You are assigned a grade for each level, E, D, C, B and A - A being the best. There are 5 stages to each level with a different objective so that you won't be left with nothing to do. Unless your a pro like me of course;) Ahem, anyways...

Once all stages are complete with Hero and Dark stories, you unlock a final story.

Now let's not forget why we all really play any of the Sonic Adventure games...CHAO!
This game features 3 Chao gardens. A Neutral, Hero and Dark. Hero and Dark gardens can only be unlocked when you have raised a Chao with the respective sided characters. The Chao land features a school, where you can buy items at the Black Market, put your Chao into classes to be taught dances, drawing, instruments and other nice abilities or go to the Fortune Teller to get a badass name. Many hours will be spent here, just like in the previous game. You can send your Chao into races as always to win medals and items for your Chao and also put them into karate matches if you have the DLC.

All in all, it's an amazing game and plays smoother than Sonic Adventure did originally, however both amazing games!

10/10.

This is a powerful game about the strength and courage of two hedgehogs as they endure discrimination and racism throughout their lives, as even the military try to bring them down because "all hedgehogs look the same to us", but they also have to endure each other as they foster an uneasy friendship. In the end, it is a game about the triumph of love and hope in a world of gruelling odds, even if love comes from a psycho 12-year old stalker, or a giant pair of flying b00bs.

This is one of the best 3D sonic games ever.

Good:
-runs at smooth 60fps
-great soundtrack
-Shadow's stages are perfect
-Good story (and alot darker than other sonic games)
-Knuckles/Rouge levels are interesting(but sometimes really tedious)
-CHAO GARDEN!
-Tons of replay value!

Bad:
-You need battle dlc to get chao karate...
-...and to unlock all emblems and achivements
-sometimes i can't hear what are characters saying in cutscenes because music is too loud!
-Crazy Gadget(most annoying and frustrating stage i have ever played)

Overall: BUY IT! 9/10

Another day brings another adventure. But for now... rest easy,heroes. ;_;

Sonic Adventure 2 for me is the best 3D sonic game ever. as Sonic Adventure DX was great and gave Sonic his first taste of a true 3D adventure. Sonic Adventure 2 refined it to an art. Sonic Adventure had troubles with a sometimes too simple story. We had a few too many stupid play styles like big the cat. The controls wern't very tight especially in the HD PC version. Which on PC could make you scream and at times is unplayable unless you have 3rd party software for a Controller. But in Sonic Adventure 2 it's not that case at all, Playing City Escape and Ratical Highway felt completely smooth for the keyboard and was optimized very well. The music in this game is arguably the best in the franchise. Mainly City Escape and the final boss fight theme. This game introduced Shadow the hedgog which was so great that it inspired a completely new game. i could go way farther into this game but i don't wanna spoil the game's full plot. Sonic Adventure 2 has taken everything from Sonic Adeventure DX and sharpened it to perfection. The levels are much more fun. They have trimmed the fat like Big the cat. Added some of the best sound tracks Sonic has ever had. Added very interesting characters and made the controls way tighter and actually optimized very well for the PC HD version. The graphics compared to the gamecube and Sega saturn version, Has been completely overhalled. The FPS rate was boosted all the way from a 20-25 fps rate all the way to 60 frames which makes this feel like a completely new experience. Updated textures and HD graphics makes this the definitive 3D Sonic Experience. This is one of my Favorite games of all time. Verdict: Critic Review: 9/10 Personal Opinion: 10/10

Really, really fun, addicting game. However, it can get pretty frustrating at times, the voice acting is far from perfect, and the camera is screwy. It's definitely an improvement from the original Sonic Adventure though!

This game had terrible collision detection and some of the most embarassing voice acting ever, and I knew that even when I was 10 and I didn't know anything.

It's also tons of silly fun even if you don't have the Dreamcast die-hard nostalgia goggles. If you like angsty goth hedgehogs, GOING FAST, and raising a small army of wobbly bulbous critters, you can't do better under 10 bux.
