This is probably the first fps game I've ever played on the internet. I've played it since 2008~ 2011. It is IMO one of the best games I've ever got to play that is F2P. But we can't judge the game base on just the style of the game. We also need to consider things like community, cash shop, update, and anti-hack shield.

The combat arms community is one of the most toxic communities I've ever encountered on the internet. Everybody is always toxic to each other. It is pretty hard to find a game without someone becoming angered at one another.

Cash Shop
This game is literally "paid to win". Nexon provides over powered armors to players who paid for them. The stats are twice or even triple to amount you'd get from buying with game currency. If I recall, there are some weapons that players can only get from paying cash money and are extremely over powered as well. It is true that a skillful player can win with any guns, but sometimes having a cash gun and/or a normal gun can make a big difference.

Nexon is pretty much all about updates. They constantly update all of their games to provide players with new and unique gameplays.

Anti-Hack Shield
Nobody enjoys having hackers in any games. But that doesn't mean the hackers will stop. Even though Nexon is always constantly updating their anti-hack shield, hackers are still able to find a way to create new hacks. There are VIP hacks where players can buy hacks from sites with $ and public hacks constantly out in the internet. It is pretty hard to stop this kind of unnecessary act.

I've played this game for 3 year and that doesn't mean I'm an expert of the game. So all I can do is give you guys my thoughts of this game.

Used to be a great game with good competition but after years of development, the game became "paid 2 win", full of hackers, and has a disgusting community of stubborn and toxic players.

As much as I loved it, would not recommend. The golden days for this game is long gone.

if you enjoy getting constantly headshot, knifed from miles away, or being shot through walls, this game is perfect for you. the game is WAY under balanced and no matter how good you are, if you don't pay for NX weapons, you will lose. have fun :D:

Combat Arms

This game was great when it was first released.
I had played this game for hours on end a few years ago.

I recently gave it another go...

It is a buggy, ♥♥♥♥ty, broken, unbalanced mess now. I played this game before the "black market" when the game was solid well focused shooter and it was great.

I loved it.

Not long after the market was added did the game started to sour for me. Players who bought overpowered characters and weapons quickly dominated those who did not. Nexon chose to syphon as much cash from their player base at the cost of it's core gameplay and the longevity of an otherwise great game.

Most of the strongest weapons and characters are walled off to only paying customers. There is no way for a non paying players to ever earn with normal game point regardless of how long or well they play. There is no reward for skill. You want to do well in game you better pay for it.

The game has had many unnecessary, unpolished, unfinished game modes added. Some of those modes include a poorly made zombies mode, a clunky glitch prone co-op mode and a very obtuse bank heist mode.

The game has been out for too long to excuse the amount to glitches and bugs that are still in this game. Nexon seems to be too busy adding more guns and superfluous features like "nut shots" to the game to spend the proper amount of time removing exploitable glitches and game breaking bugs.

It has the typical herpes of online first person shooters with a community of pricks all wishing to tell you exactly how big of "f@66et" you are for being a "nub" and the endless steam hackers and glitch abusers who always seem to get a hard on for "winning" these games.

This game had potential but that has long since eroded.

Don't waste your time.

I cannot STRESS how bad this game is. To start of this rant, let's get some of the most common things out of the way.

The balance. The balance in this game is TERRIBLE. It's Pay2Win. The starter weapons are trash, and the starting stuff you get doesn't help either. You're better off leaving this game OFF of your computer.

The things you get for winning. The things you get for winning are simple, but you barely get any of them, requiring you to grind, grind, grind and grind. It's atrocious.

The amount of cheaters and how horrid the anticheat is. The amount of cheaters is too much to comprehend. For the few minutes I played this, I could barely get into a server without seeing a single hacker using OPK, TPK, aimbot, wallhack or chams. The anticheat doesn't so jack♥♥♥♥ for this game, and the devs only patch hacks every millenium.

The mod and elite mod perks. Oh my god. Don't even get me started on how terrible these things are. I can NEVER find a decent server that has e-moderator or the moderator perk for the host. Everytime you kill the host, he/she will kick you out of rage because he/she is a ♥♥♥♥♥ who needs to learn proper use of moderation.

The specs and the weapons they get. Oh no. OH NO. These things are the plague of this trash called a game. They get OP as hell weapons, and they don't cost much. This seriously allows cheap kills, and more points and currency for said spec using person. Seriously? An automatic turret? You obviously need the game to do the work for you if you use it. But there's airstrikes, miniguns, and other unbalanced garbage that plagues the game and makes it more trashy.

I can go on and on about how terrible this gar♥♥♥♥♥ is.

If you're looking for a quick, fast-paced FPS shooter, CA is great. However, some bugs haunt the game making it very difficult to play for long periods of time without getting frustated. Overall, a great, easy to learn game.
