Kung Fu Strike actually surprised me a lot. It has a fabulous fighting with pleasant graphics and animation, spectacular attacks, as in the Japanese-Chinese movies. An interesting and enjoyable combat system with lighting fast moves and super abilities which can be triggered by gaining enough rage. There are a crazy numbers of combos you can pull off which is always fun to see, and the nature of the game play makes it easy for anyone to pick up and play. However, there's a certain level of patience and stubbornness involved to beat the game. If you're one of those hardcore players that see games not as entertainment but rather as a challenge and a test of character, then this simple fighting game will abuse you just the way you like it. You may have a struggle in the later levels of the game, but co-op will make that easier for you. This is a challenging, yet simplistic and adrenaline fueling game, something to keep you entertained for hours.

Very good game, but very hard on normal or hard mode.

Pros

-2 player Co-Op if you have a friend or a brother.
-Perfect defense system that encourage you to stay on your toes at all time.
-Perfect offensive system that encourage you to hit the weakpoint of your enemies with 2 different buttons on 2
different occasion. Or, as your enemy turns red to use a strong attack, you can counter-attack with one of your abilties to deal massive damage with a cool sound effect along with that.
-Very fast paced game
-Very good progression system: You must pay to increase your health and your gauge, you must unlock new abilities and combos, you must find new allies to use as decoys to complete your objectives.
-The AI is impressive. They all attack you at once, often and fast, but because the defense system is perfect, that's not really a problem. You can still defend yourself perfectly agaisnt all of them.
-The game is challenging and fun overall.
-There's multiple fun extra stages.
-You can go back every on stages to grind for more money to use to unlock your skills.
-Very good replayability. I'm having fun fighting the same bosses or redoing the same stages that i already did over and over again.

Cons:

-Bad camera angle: sometime, the camera can be too far away or it can will go wild on you as something else or an event appear. That will mess you up. Other times, the camera will be set in an angle that will completely foreshadow your character so you cannot see since the objects that covers your character completely will not become transparent like in most games.
-There's a very hard part in the game where your character become poisoned for a couple of stages. It's doable, but frustrating. You will need to perfectly plan your strategy to complete these few stages.
-Very luck based game on drop rates. Sometime, enemies and the objects you break will drop food for health, other time, they don't at all and the lack of food can be the reason you lose.
-Decoy cost money and you need money to unlock new move sets. Because of that, if you keep on losing, you eventually end up losing more money if you keep using decoys.
-The last boss of the game with no DLC is way way way too hard on normal or hard mode.
-At the end, you have to grind to unlock everything to stand a chance agaisnt the last boss(That is optional, but recommanded).

This game is a difficult beat 'em up were you fight a lot of enemies at the same time.

    Pros
  • A lot of replay value.
  • A bunch of upgrades to unlock.
  • Beautiful artwork.
  • Easy Controls (Keyboard and Controller).
  • Co-op makes the game more enjoyable.

    Cons
  • Once you get towards half of the game...the game gets pretty difficult. I ended up getting, for the most part, rank Ds on Easy/Normal difficulties.
  • Later levels seem almost impossible playing on singleplayer (THIS GAME IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED WITH SOMEONE ELSE).
  • Sometimes the enemies get overwhelming, so you HAVE to get rid of them quickly.

I luckily got this game for just $1, so in my opinion for that price is well worth it. I'd say for half the price or less this game is well worth it if you are into challenging games.

Good enough for $1.00... and that's it.

Review Entirely Based on Personal Reflections:

+ Graphics-wise, it certainly exceeds the value of $1.00, with extremely smooth combat controls I would have to admit I was lucky to get it for just $1.00.

- I am not that good at ACT games like I used to be, but this game does have some "broken" mechanics that will ♥♥♥♥ you off to no end. Game is indeed difficult and challenging, since you're often fighting multiple enemies including bosses all at the same time. But unlike Ninja Gaiden, Ikaruga and other old school ACTgames, practice doesn't always make it perfect, there are sequences where doge/evade just won't work. I enjoyed dying million times in Ikaruga, however, there is absolutely no way in Kung Fu Strike I am gonna repeat playing the same level after dying again.

Like someone will surely point out: THIS GAME IS TOO HARD FOR YOU NOOB

Yes, it is too hard for me
I wouldn't mind the game being challenging, but the gaming mechanics are just not enjoyable after 30 mins of play
Like said in the beginning, this is a reflection of my personal experience
Call me a noob all you want, but everyone has the right to speak out their opinion :P

Would recommended it only on 90% discount
