Some might not consider this DLC worthy its money but considering that you can get it for 0,67$, which is the price of a candy bar, it's not a big deal.

The vanilla faces are pretty ugly, let's admit it. As you can see by playing the game, most characters look alike. There is no diversion at all on the look of the characters unless they are fat or have an injury. This gets pretty boring when you pass the 100 hours limit and thus you are looking for a change.

I would expect and want to see this DLC as a Free DLC or at least a feature in game. I'm totally against the practise of Paradox which tries to milk its customers from their cash by providing DLC which should be from the start a part of the base game.

However, i really like the change the portraits of this DLC brings. Finally the faces look like its actually from the Mediterranean region, finally the southern rulers do not look alike the northern and finally the Byzantine rulers wear clothes extremely close to the historical ones! The children have finally a different face too (w/o the DLC all the children of the world look the same).

I mind paying even a penny for this DLC but i honestly enjoy it a whole lot! Totally recommending it to everyone who likes to play as the Mediterranean rulers. I advise you to wait for the sales and get it with a 75% discount as i did.

Paradox has to update this DLC page in order not to misinform.
- The portraits look immensly better now. No longer the potato people of the Mediterran.
- This portrait pack does now only change EASTERN mediterran ethnicites or byzantine. Those are: Greek, Armenian Georgian and the Israelite/Jewish Cultures Ashkenazi and Sephardi.
- For western mediterran you need the Iberian portrait pack, which includes Castillian, Catalan, Portuguese, Andalusian, Visigothic and Italian.

EDIT: Paradox Interactive stripped out the portrait affecting Italians and Romans to make you buy the Iberian Portrait Pack. That's right, they STRIPPED OUT A FEATURE TO MAKE YOU PAY FOR IT AGAIN IN ANOTHER DLC.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS.

Before= Hideous monsters that some wanted to put down, Included italians, iberian, byzantine and jewish.
Now= Almost like Turkish but more mediterrian, Includes Byzantine and Jewish races (and more?)
Its 10 times better than last time (sad that Italians and Iberians arent included with it)

A recent patch replaced the rather inaccurate Mediterranean Portraits with more accurate Byzantine portraits. You can ignore a lot of old reviews now, the current portraits this DLC provides are excellent and accurate.

Yeah, so it's no longer really a Mediterranean portraits pack as it is a Greek portraits pack. But, it's a whole lot better now, even if the amount it gets used has been reduced.

Disparagingly referred to as 'Potato people' or 'Mud people' DLC. Clearly the quality is leagues worse than the vast majority of other content for CKII; that quality sticks out like a sore suntan, it's that diabolical. DLC turned off at the launcher is your best bet for this one. Shame, the others on offer are quite to very good.

Don't, PLease, Don't buy this....
Before all my empresses and sons were looking really nice, handsome....
But now, it's all gone wrong, they are shockingly ugly.
They are a waster of your money.
