Adam's Venture is a simplistic puzzle adventure game. This second episode can be completed in roughly 2 hours. The puzzles are extremely easy and the gameplay feels like a dumbed down Tomb Raider game. Voice acting and the animations are reasonably done. There's not a whole lot of variety to keep it engaging.

The main character is in incredibly annoying. I think they were trying to go for campy, but they failed. I'm sure other people would have liked it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

The graphics for the game is pretty inconsistent. Somehow, it always loads the low textures and after a second, it will finally load the high textures. Of course the game has a tendency of always loading the low textures until the character you are controlling is suddenly close by. And if the character moves too far away, it then loads the low textures again. I don't know why it does, none of the other games that I play does this. So I just have to assume it is a software issue.

Gameplay wise, it is a very simple point and click adventure. Of course, the game doesn't support the mouse at all, so point and click isn't a good comparison. Play this game with a controller, because the game with the keyboard is very annoying. Even then, the controller just makes it tolerable. The puzzles themselves are very simplistic and basic, but sometimes a few puzzles are incredibly difficult. If you are wanting a simple quick game, this is it. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother with this game.

Again, same review as the first one except this takes just over 2 hours to get 17 achievements and 100% complete to get those perfect games stacking up.

If you enjoy exploring and point and click games, this classic "Indiana Jones"-style game may be something for you.
It's not directly a point and click, but it has the standard find the item; combine to use. What i like with this game is the funny interactions between the characters, the variated puzzles and the exitement of crypt exploring.

The camera view is mostly locked but they manage to get away with it as they kept direction fixed when camera change angle and you do mostly see the whole scene.

If i could wish something more for this game it would be more stealth, the game could have been less forgiving and a bit more open. Also if you don't like puzzles and thinking you might be in a bit of problem, if you can't solve it you won't be able to progress any more in the game. The puzzles difficulty vary a lot.

I can recommend this game series for:
- Adults who like casual adventures
- young teenager
- children

All three games are casual adventures with (for adults) very easy puzzels and a quiet simple, yet funny humor. The 'action scenes' and language contents are appropriate for the groups mentioned above. Playing as young adventurerer Adam Venture there is quite a bit of decent story that can be discovered during the three games. The graphics are pretty okay for an indie production, the voice acting is also quite good and the controls are very simple. With a very maximum of 2.5 hours of play time for each game the series might be suited for the impatient kind, but is surely a bit disappointing for deep story lovers.

I still don't know why i bother to play this game; I suppose after buying the whole pack, i was determined to finish all three games, even if theyre terrible, terrible games. Anyway, Adam's Venture Episode 2 (seriously, I can't believe they made a second one) picks up where the previous game left off, except it turns out after stopping the evil professor guy ( I seriously can't be bothered remembering his name) the company you work for (yea forgot them too) take you in as prisoners, for no apparent reason. You escape and find Solomon's Temple. Like literally thats the plot. While as before it has a few interesting puzzles, they're still far too easy. Graphics and gameplay are identical to the previous game, and as a result, is still just terrible. Writing and characters are bland, uninteresting and badly written.

If you've played the previous game, and you really, really want to know what happens, then I suggest you write your own fan-fiction, because it'll be better than this.

Better than Part 1, but still no Masterpiece. Cheesy as before, and the same mistake of repeating the same puzzle over and over. The Story build up is better than in part 1 but the puzzle-style mostly doesn´t fit into the setting (to modern for the environment). Again a game for an evening to chill. Worth to buy at a sale.

Unfortunately it's pretty much the same as Episode 1. Different setting and different puzzles though. But somehow some of the puzzles got even worse. Some of them now require just sheer luck and timing instead of intelligence which results in pure frustration. Let's see how Episode 3 fares.

The Adam's Venture Series is one of disappointment. The third person adventure/puzzle series is accompanied by deceptive visuals, unclear puzzles, cheesy character models, and voice acting.

The game('s) puts you in the shoes of Adam Venture, a young archeologist trying to find the Garden of Eden, Solomon's Temple, and...his girlfriend...

So the first two of the adventures sound kinda cool...so what happened with the third? [SPOILERS] Well the second game ended as a cliffhanger in which the notorious villain runs of with Adam's girlfriend. [SPOILERS] Hence, the first half of the third game is a flashback and the second half is a lame and poorly executed attempt at a climax. To be honest, out of all the three games the first is the most enjoyable. The story was probably the best and the environments the most exciting in the first game.

The gameplay try's to blend adventure exploration with puzzles. Now don't get me wrong I don't have an issue with adventure/puzzlers. The problem is that the adventure portion is exciting and the puzzle portion is boring and frustrating. The puzzles in game look like they were designed for a five year old. They literally only take you about 2 minutes average to solve...if you can understand how the puzzle works. The puzzles are presented with minimal and vague instructions. I spent twenty minutes trying to figure out what the heck I was supposed to do with the stinking puzzle sometimes! So in short, the puzzle portion of the game is a major fail...

The adventure part is fun enough though, however long it lasts. Each game only takes about two and a half to four hours to beat.

The game advertises itself to have gorgeous graphics and while I will admit it does look good, it only looks good at a distance.

As with most Unreal Engine games, the game looks appealing at a distance and then as you get a closer look you start to see where work needs to be done. I maxed the game out and I noticed that as I got closer to the camera everything just went completely fuzzy, un-detailed, and pasty. Oh well...I guess you get what you paid for...

Perhaps though the worst part of the game is the character models and the voice acting. The character models talk and move in the weirdest manner during the cutscenes. I don't know how anyone could consider that natural movement. To worsen, it the voice acting is terrible. Compound that with a crummy script and there you have it...a nauseating experience.

The Adam's Venture has brought me some fun adventures moments, but that is about all...

Not much here folks, go play something worthy of your time...like Counter Strike, Planetside 2, or some kind of an adventure game that doesn't have a cheesy pun in its title...

Content Review:

What the Adam Venture series lacks in quality it makes up for in content. The game contains literally no objectionable content and boasts on its homepage that it strives dearly to make a game "for the whole family to enjoy." If only you could actually enjoy it though...

Positive Elements: You stand for mortality and try too stop the evil henchmen in the game from completing their tasks.

3/10 (Barely Present) Violence: There are many chases throughout the series. A lot of action/adventure sequences. Perilous situations are encountered frequently. One character pulls a gun on Adam and Evelyn, but never actually pulls the trigger (thought he threatens to).

0/10 (None) Language: :)

1/10 (Barely Noticeable) Sexual Content: Some flirtatious conversations between Evelyn and Adam. Nothing lewd or obscene though.

0/10 (None) Drugs/Alcohol: :)

2/10 (Barely Present) Negative Elements: Adam is occasionally haughty and can have a very narrow minded view about some things.

Other Moral Issues: Mystical Forces are referenced and seen sometimes in series.

Final Content Rating: 9/10 (Clean)

"Stop fussing women, i'm getting us out of here!" sums up this story pretty well. Adam is back again with another 'venture' although its not really by choice! He is stuck in Isreal attempting to puzzle his way from his captors. This time he is teamed up with his female companion, and butt of a lot of puns. Overall, much like the first game, Adam has to solve the same poorly designed puzzles over and over again. Skip this game series and move on.

At first you might be skeptic of this game due to it's sort of weak voice acting but once you start playing it actually is pretty good. Even though I don't like adventure/puzzle games that much I still enjoyed playing it until I got enraged at a puzzle and quit. Might pick it up later though.

8/10: Nice adventure game to causally play if you are into indie adventure games.

Eps 2 was cool. The story picks up right where the first one left off. This one gets a little bit of a graphical upgrade from 1. The locations are more varied. It kind of has an Indiana Jones vibe to it, but again it's just basic puzzle solving. It only required a little bit of thinking before being able to figure any puzzle out. A heavy theme of the story is that the Knights Templar hid a bunch of ancient ♥♥♥♥ back in the day and Adam is trying to uncover their secrets before some evil corporation gets their evil grubby mitts on it. Like, Eps 1 there's more secret treasure to be found. After getting all the secret hidden treasure, I triumphantly went back to their website and entered the codes and, at last, that bonus content was to be mine! What was on the accessed website was a teaser trailer for Eps 3 and a couple of random pix and a website about the Knights Templar. What a rip off! I felt like little Ralphie from A Christmas Story decoding the message to be sure to drink Ovaltine. Oh well. I guess it still helped me get 100% on the achievements. There's an achievement just for starting the game, lol. Overall, I'd say I still probably liked Eps 2 the best of the three.

its a game...I believe in god, i am open to games based on god.....I don't like this game, its shallow, short, sexist even by 1930s standards, bad jokes, the puzzles make no sense noir give you any sort of understand why you are solving the puzzles or even how to work out some of the puzzles. I have seen better high school projects then this. what is even more painful, this game is now on ps3.........

its been a long long time since I regretted buying a game, i mean some games have been bad but at least they tried, this game makes me ashamed being a church going man, and thats saying something. honestly.......if you want a G rated game for your child who will prob hate you for buying this because he will get stuck, get stuck by the bugs, hate the fact its so shallow then buy it.......but honestly.............i rather go play remember me, and i hate that game........don't bother, it wasn't worth my time other then to get the achievements............gaaa i wouldn't even donate this thing to good will

This is a rather simplistic adventure with pretty easy puzzles and a simple keyboard interface. Don't expect much depth in the story line except a lot of biblical references.

My recommendation is to spend your money elsewhere, rating this at 4 out of 10.
