About This Game

Cubemen is a fast paced, action packed, original 3D Tower Defense game that mixes TD with RTS in
single player & online multi-player awesomeness! Get ready for some crazy Cubemen action!
It’s the age old struggle between Good vs Bad, Blue vs Red, Little men vs Little men. Use your own
little Cubemen to defend your base from other little Cubemen that are trying to run it over. It’s the
usual story, but with many very interesting twists.

Play a purely defense game in various modes on a sweet selection of levels, or go into Skirmish
mode and play a new type of TD game against either the computer or another human opponent.
That’s right.. Two way REAL-TIME TD against the computer or a real person!
It’s TD like you’ve never seen or experienced before.

Key Features:

  • 35 local Single-player Defense levels in ranging difficulties from beginner to insane
  • 25 local Real-time Multi-player Skirmish levels (play One v.s One against AI or another Human)
  • 9 local Real-time Multi-player 6 way online Mayhem levels
  • No static towers... Your towers are actually Cubemen. Place them and move them around at will.
  • Real 3D environments with Height, Cross overs, bridges and floating platforms.
  • 6 Single-player Defense modes to choose from with local and online leader boards
  • Online Leader-boards and Statistic tracking
  • 41 Achievements to earn
  • Clean, rich and simplistic visuals that keep the focus on the strategy

A epic combo of RTS games and tower defense games, really fun to mess around with. Sadly, nobody is usually on multiplayer, but still really fun.

I'd reccomend this to people who like RTS games OR tower defense games.

I got this in the Humble Bundle and thank GOD I didnt pay full price for this.

The game just falls into repetition after repetition, all three game types are the same, but with more people and different maps, that is literally it.

The supposed "open endedness" of the game is one of its main downfalls, since instead of the standard tower defense multiplayer formula "Here is your end, you cant place anything in the other players end, but theres a no mans land thats all yours if you can fight for it" the game does this:

You can place Units anywhere! (that we've set) even next to the enemy spawn point!

Thats it, and that makes it frustrating, it takes all the fun out of the usual cunning and strategy of a game like this, and instead the only way to win is just spawncamping/killing

Thats it, thats the only way to win and the AI knows it, as thats the only tactic I've ever seen it employ.

This is made even worse by the fact that when a Unit is going towards a spot, no-one else on any team can go to that spot, even if they would beat them to the spot by miles, making defense of your base harder, and spawn killing way easier.

I LIKE tower defense games and I LIKE RTS games... but I simply dont like this as everything is the same, and the only way to win is to be totally unfair.

To top it all off the AI is so incompetent it hurts, as in it hurts my head from how many times I smashed my head into my desk after seeing my units attacking someone who they were missing continuously, who was also very far away, and wasnt even attacking me, instead of the units right next to him that were actively shooting him!

To end this review professionally: The AI is rubbish, the game is boring and repetitive, and the only way to win is by being a complete c*nt, DO NOT buy this game.

One of my all time favorites, no doubt 'bout it! Haven't played it in a bit, getting back to it and I realize what I've been missing. A great action/tower defense game. Although, the player base is kinda dead, real shame. But if you've got some friends (you do have friends right..?) get them together and hop into an online match. Its that simple foo!

But for-real, this game is def worth the few $ it costs, and the developers (based off their interaction on the forums) are real peeps, support em!

Cubemen is a decent RTS/Tower Defense game that does well with what little it contains. This is a great little game and well worth the couple bucks it costs.

A good game for sure. Interesting and original mechanics that allow for a fun singleplayer or multiplayer game. The game however does suffer from a lack of replayability, but I guess thats why they made a 2nd one.
