What the developers say:

“Archeblade is still in development, and there’s still a lot more to be implemented. We believe that there is a difference between making a game with feedback from the actual players and making it without them. We can't agree more with the Valve's idea that a game evolves as you play, analyze user feedback, update current content, and add new ones. That’s how we make our games.
Before ArcheBlade gets released, we’ll continue to add new content including new heroes, new game modes , and all other features that will make the game better such as rank-based matchmaking system while fixing all those annoying bugs.
Stick around to see how your feedback is reflected in the game.”

About the Game

Experience a Fighting Game in Multiplayer style! ArcheBlade is a free-to-play PvP-based multiplayer action game in which users can either take sides and fight against the other team or fight for themselves depending on the map. Players choose one of several characters, each with their own unique fighting style and action combos. ArcheBlade captures the essence of combo-based fighting games like Street Fighter or Tekken combined with online multiplayer match system. Rather than pressing number keys mindlessly to use skills, players need to pay close attention to their character and their opponents’ moves in order to perform combos as well as block and avoid attacks all happening in real-time. Do you like fighting games? Do you enjoy non-stop action? Are you competitive? Then this game is for you.

Be patient, look for an opening, and Attack!

Please stay tuned for future updates as more characters, maps, and game modes will be introduced!

Take the speed of stuff like Unreal Tournament, and some of the gameplay of Anarchy Reigns, and you have this game. It's a 3D arena based 'fighter' ( thought more 'brawler' honestly ), that you, and a team of others, have to ether defeat the other team, complete stage objectives, or Free For all ( under the curran beta build ). Each playable figure has their own strength's and weaknesses, and each brings something towards team dynamics. As it stands right now, balance MIGHT be a bit wonky ( The sniper's not that great, while Taic can really screw people up in the right hands, and the new archer guy is VERY strong in both range and melee. ), and how the game's set up can...really encrotch on you to perhaps buy those unlock packs ( coins come towards you at a SNAILS pace, meaning you'll be unlocking champs once a week at best ).

But the fact that levels only mean time invested, and outside of quick use items ( that eat up your coins BTW each time you use them, so no one uses them ) there's no real way to make something into your favor past skill alone, I think it's one of the better F2P's out here.

Arche Blade is an amazing fighting and multiplayer game. It brings back the retro feel of actually trying to get combos and requires a certain degree of skill rather than just button mashing. I would highly reccommend this to anybody who enjoys fighter games.

Really fun game. There isn't much else to say. It's the definition of a game with a lot of potential. Right now, it's loads of fun in short bursts. It's like a MOBA but without the mobs and with actual action combat. Like a more simplified Anarchy Reigns, with a focus on capturing and holding control points. There arent that many characters, but each one plays differently enough to be unique. Hopefully they'll be adding more in the future. The graphics are decent, though there are some framedrops for no apparent reason (running 2xHD6950s, so no reason for lag). It can be a bit of a spamfest, but usually, a strategy will make you come out on top. I like it quite a bit.

8/10 - Bretty Gud

This game isn't that bad. It has that MOBA feeling while still being a fighting game at it's core. The characters aren't that balanced, but the game is free so there is no reason not to check it out if you like the idea of a team-based fighting game.

Most of the female character design is disgusting though. This is the kinda game you close down if relatives are visiting since they will think that you're some kind of hentai freak weirdo who jacks it to little cartoon girls if they catch you playing.
