PAX East Twitch Stage Showcase tomorrow

Hi everyone! We're celebrating the launch of SpeedRunners at PAX East in Boston, and tomorrow there's an upcoming Twitch Stage segment for SpeedRunners.

SpeedRunners is Out Now!

SpeedRunners is now officially out of Early Access. After hundreds of updates, several community uprisings (remember the whole Lethal Spikes and SpeedBoosting threads?), we are officially out. That's it. Version 1.0.

Here's what the final version of SpeedRunners has to offer:

Gif Editor & Exporter

A new feature in the Replays system is the ability to crop & export GIFs directly from within SpeedRunners, check it out!

Trails Shop & Editor

Yes, you can now create your own trails for SpeedRunners and have them be available in the Trails Shop. This is a curated shop (think just like Team Fortress 2) where users can submit their content to.

Mac & Linux

I am playing SpeedRunners on a Mac, you guys! This actually works.

Single Player Campaign

The brand new single player campaign takes you on a "Mario Kart Style" adventure, going through the multiplayer maps with specific story bits and challenges. The goal of the single player campaign is to ease players into the competitive online part of the game.

Twitch Betting

You can now setup twitch betting when livestreaming SpeedRunners and it's tied to the tinyBuild rewards program.

But wait, what does going out of Early Access mean?

It means that the core features of the game are finished. We will still update the game, and are fully committed to working with the community. The only difference is that the core development team will switch their focus to consoles.

one of my favorites so far!

very fun a spped based game with some timing thrown in.

Great for a local multiplayer gamenight with friends. Looking forward to playing with them again.

Really fun game to play with friends, completely skill based and worth every dime I payed. Doesn't need any work. 10/10

Easy to learn, hard to master, fast-paced platforming bliss. Oh, there's also Bionic Commando-style grappling hooks, Mario Kart-style item pickups, and Meat Boy-style "any mistakes are your own" controls. If you've ever enjoyed a platformer before, there's no reason for you to not buy this game.

My favorite game of the year!

This game seems simplistic at first but after a while, I discovered that the controls are soooo deep! You can literally spend hundred of hours perfecting your skills and you could still improve.

My favorite aspect is the weapons available. It feel a bit like Mario Kart and I love it!

The only thing I dislike is that workshop maps are part of the official ranked mode. The game should offer 2 different ranked mode: 1-Officials 2-Workshops

Fast-paced racing game unlike any of you have seen before. Instead of cars, the game is a symbolic representation of how some gamers blast through a game without fully enjoying it. However, you actually enjoy it in this game! You play as one of numerous speed-bent characters with Steam-exclusive editions such as TF2's Scout and Payday 2's Wolf in a thriving array of maps as you race against other players and/or bots to eliminate your competitiors by getting them off of the screen while staying in the lead. There are numerous items and gameplay mechanics that can help you achieve that, such as a grappling hook, C4s, homing missles, freeze rays, wall-jumping, fireballs and more! The story is told through unlockable comics and each character has its own purpose in the game as well as multiple skins to stand out in the crowd. The game has a multiplayer mode, ranked mode, and allows you to easily play with your friends. The game is purely skill-based and while you can spend real-money, you can only acquire cosmetic speed trails that have no effect on your character's performance. If you are looking for a way to pass-time in a thrilling yet entertaining way, this is the game for you!

This game is amazing. The soundtrack fits perfectly with the intensity of the game, gaining rank points is satisfying, it has great replayability, and the characters are all memorable. The more you learn the mechanics of the game the more fun it is to play.

Ive only played this game for a bit, but I know its fantastic! The graphics are great and everythings fluent. All the characters are interesting and really make you want to play them! Its not a pay to play game! Everything you buy just effects how it looks and not how its played, to be good you must play! The soundtrack fits the tone of the fast paced, cut-throat gameplay! All the sound effects are great and really immerse you! I hate long reviews so ill keep it short. The game is fast paced, fun to play, cut throat and with every victory your friends will hate you more and more! Mentioning hate, Ive sseen NONE of it in the games ive played, everyone is nice and fair with each loss, and complementary with each victory! Worth. Every. Penny.

Speedrunners is a game that can build or destroy friendships. Mostly destroying tho.
You can only become better by practicing and when everybody is good at the game, it's an amazing experience.
Or you can annoy the f*ck out of your friends by playing way better than them. It's always fun when they rage and call you a hacker instead of admitting that you are way to good at the game.

Aaah... nothing better than watching your friends suffer.

A simple game with a simple premise: outrun your opponents until you're the last one standing.
You'll need to jump over spikes, dodge boxes, and can use various pickups to give yourself an edge over everyone else.

Really fun and addicting game to play with your friends.
