About This Content

Warmaster Seerus is the evil master of munitions within the gremlin's all-powerful Crimson Order. Thought to be the true mastermind behind the Roarmulus Twins and countless other gremlin weapons, he is the Crimson Order’s creator and supplier for their diabolical engines of war.

Recon Knights under the command of Lieutenant Feron recently discovered Seerus’s ‘Grand Arsenal,’ his development center and storage facility for all his weaponry. Now, Feron himself is leading several squads of knights directly into the Grand Arsenal, with the intention of weeding out Seerus and destroying his war machines.

Met with heavy resistance, Feron’s squads require reinforcements and Spiral HQ is sending you in to assist.

Key Features:

Lead the Assault
  • Experience an all-new adventure in the world of Spiral Knights!
  • Challenge the mighty gremlin lord, Warmaster Seerus, in his terrifying Grand Arsenal!
Expand Your Arsenal
  • Includes unique mission rewards: the powerful Rocket Hammer and the shadowy Dark Retribution bomb!
  • Includes a bonus craft-able helm, the Mask of Warmaster Seerus himself!
Ferocious New Monsters
  • Face the explosive weaponry of gremlin Mortafires and the stealthy blades of Ghostmane Stalkers!
Multiple Ways to Play

I like Spiralknights, and this DLC but i cant reccomend it unless its on sale (Which at the time im writing this, it is about $1.49)
With the new mission you get :
-The rocket hammer (Three tiers: Prototype, Stable and Warmaster)
-The seerus Mask (Three teirs: Flawed, Fractured and Perfect
-Dark ____(Once agian three tiers: Reprisal, Reprisal MK2 and Retribution)
-new music
-3 new missions (all the same but varying difficult: from 1 star rewards to 3 star rewards then up to 5 star)
-new loot
-a new boss to kill (Exclusive to The Grand Aresenal: Warmaster Seerus)

Its fun but not worth the price, its good to pick up in a sale

Ya I do. It has available costumes you can make from finding materials in the mission, and free weapons. And the crown output isn't bad either.

Honestly, This was a lot of fun. Being able to hear new music, see new enemies, and facing the boss was amazing! I found this to be a pretty good challenge. This DLC gives you a new Mission with 3 difficulties. Upon completing these missions, you are rewarded with a Sword and Bomb. Depending on the difficulty your reward is a higher tier. Not to mention beating the boss gives you a material for making the boss's mask, once again with 3 different tiers. Overall it was an awesome experience and I had a blast playing through it. Definitely worth the 6 bucks.

Okay listen, i like Spiral Knights, and i like Operation Crimson Hammer, but i can't recommend this for purchase.

You are paying 6 dollars ($5.99 at the time of writing) for one new mission.

It consists of 6 floors, with 3 new items as rewards (with 2 additonal downgraded versions for each new item).

Most people will end up running this new mission maybe 3 times to get all the rewards, 9 if you want the downgraded versions, and never touch it again.

Alternatively you can simply play the regular game and purchase the expansion with common game currency: Approximately 288.000 "crowns" as of writing, which to me is not very difficult to aquire, maybe a weeks worth of casual play.

All im saying is that as for "Is this worth 6 dollars"? Its debateable. Is this worth it to me personally? No.

Don't let me stop you if this sounds like a good deal to you.

Storming the Grand Arsenal is an excellent example of what DLC should be and it's only gotten better for it's price over the years. No longer must we be tormented by elevator passes being needed to fully enjoy content!

This Expansion has about 5 levels, (15 if you want to count every different "tier" but they just swap around enemies and a bit of difficulty so I don't), a Battlepod miniboss (OOO plz) and, obviously, an awesome battle against Seerus. Whether you want to band together with three other knights of your skill or slightly higher and blitz through in a raid to try and get to the boss for some goodies at the end or if you want to go in on your own and take out the enemies on your way to the heart of the citadel, this expansion has some excellent replay value.

The weapons given for free when you complete this, the tier dependent Rocket Hammer and Dark Reprisal / Retribution, are pretty solid on their own. The Rocket Hammers are good elemental weapons if you're willing to put in time to learn as it is pretty risky, and the Dark Reprisal / Retribution line is useful for support bombing. I like to use my Vortex bombs in conjunction with this, it's fun to see enemies get hit over and over and squirm in the center of a vortex.

The masks you can craft with the materials given for running this three times are also pretty good. While if you've seen the recent updates you'll know we don't need much more gunner armor, the Seerus masks are still staples of the gunner's arsenal.

This is a brilliant expansion and you'd have to have some of Seerus' explosives instead of a brain to not buy it, especially when it (Refreshingly frequently) goes on offer!

A must buy for any Spiral Knight fans
Lots of challenging levels, new monsters, layouts and experiences to be had in this expansion.
On completion you will receive a Rocket Hammer and Dark Bomb ( 1*, 3* & 5* depending on which tier you choose to play) as well the the opportunity to craft the Mask of Warmaster Seerus provided you have what is needed.

These Levels are rather different to anything in the base game and provide some replayable fun and new experiences.

8/10
- A bit short for the price but a great time for any Spiral Knight fan

It's definately worth your time and money. Despite the fact that the level is ridiculouslyhard without a full party (I did it on solo...), it's extremely fun. Not only that, but you get a decent sword (*ahem*, hammer) and an excelent bomb.

Very well made. Lasts about an hour, and has replayability capacity for about nine times afterward, not to mention any other time one would wish to revisit the Arsenal.
The Warmaster definitely pulls out all the stops; Ghostmane Stalkers, Mortafires, hidden bombs, tons of Thwackers and Puppies.
Advisable to attempt with a gun.
Hammer and bomb obtained do not work at all like the ones used by the Warmaster, though this is for balance purposes, plus the fact that the bomb is much more useful when used by player characters.
Lots of ambience. Different play feel from normal missions, as Feron guides you to accomplish certain tasks rather than merely going in and killing everything. Lots of NPC Knights to cheer you on.
May lag more than other levels; be warned.

Has a good series of levels that shows some back story for the Gremlins. Seerus is truly an insane leader, not caring for his troops, and having a craze with explosives, like Michael Bay, exceot Seerus is actualy cool. The new weapons are awesome, and the mask is cool looking. 8/10

A very satisfying expansion. Fun quest, just challenging enough. The rewards are quite nice. I use the hammer mostly because it's very fun, if dangerous. The mask looks good and has wonderful stats supporing my playstyle.

This is pretty much the pinnacle of what any MMO expansion should be, especially in a game like Spiral Knights. It is optional, the content is only as functional as you earn it to be-- There are no free boosts just for paying. It's got new music, new art assets, new enemies, new mechanics, and a very tight flavor and theme. It does not hurt that it's fun as hell and the rewards are top-notch.

Operation Crimson Hammer, is as of right now the only DLC, and is far worth it. It's WAY better if you can get it on sale. It's a good starter pack for knights, that are low on crowns, or energy. It comes with 2 tier 1 weapons, 2 tier 2 weapons, 2 tier 3 weapons, and with a very fancy helmet piece to go with that, but you must complete the mission making it more fun, and making it worth the six dollars. If your liking Spiral Knights, and you KNOW if your going to continue the game till the end, get this, you'll love it. The music....is amazing.... in the beginning, the first level is called "Storming the Fortress" and it goes GREAT with the level. You'll love this.

I DO NOT recommend this DLC over buying a 30-day elevator pass. You'll find much more value and enjoyment from essentially being able to play whenever you want and for almost however long you want from getting that $6 elevator pass. The DLC gets you about 5 maps, an interesting boss fight, some fun weapons, but you'll be done with it within a week (at most). Buy this ONLY if you already have a 30-day elevator pass and are just looking for something new to do in the game.
