About This Content

Warmaster Seerus is the evil master of munitions within the gremlin's all-powerful Crimson Order. Thought to be the true mastermind behind the Roarmulus Twins and countless other gremlin weapons, he is the Crimson Order’s creator and supplier for their diabolical engines of war.

Recon Knights under the command of Lieutenant Feron recently discovered Seerus’s ‘Grand Arsenal,’ his development center and storage facility for all his weaponry. Now, Feron himself is leading several squads of knights directly into the Grand Arsenal, with the intention of weeding out Seerus and destroying his war machines.

Met with heavy resistance, Feron’s squads require reinforcements and Spiral HQ is sending you in to assist.

Ya I do. It has available costumes you can make from finding materials in the mission, and free weapons. And the crown output isn't bad either.

This is pretty much the pinnacle of what any MMO expansion should be, especially in a game like Spiral Knights. It is optional, the content is only as functional as you earn it to be-- There are no free boosts just for paying. It's got new music, new art assets, new enemies, new mechanics, and a very tight flavor and theme. It does not hurt that it's fun as hell and the rewards are top-notch.

Okay listen, i like Spiral Knights, and i like Operation Crimson Hammer, but i can't recommend this for purchase.

You are paying 6 dollars ($5.99 at the time of writing) for one new mission.

It consists of 6 floors, with 3 new items as rewards (with 2 additonal downgraded versions for each new item).

Most people will end up running this new mission maybe 3 times to get all the rewards, 9 if you want the downgraded versions, and never touch it again.

Alternatively you can simply play the regular game and purchase the expansion with common game currency: Approximately 288.000 "crowns" as of writing, which to me is not very difficult to aquire, maybe a weeks worth of casual play.

All im saying is that as for "Is this worth 6 dollars"? Its debateable. Is this worth it to me personally? No.

Don't let me stop you if this sounds like a good deal to you.

Operation Crimson Hammer, is as of right now the only DLC, and is far worth it. It's WAY better if you can get it on sale. It's a good starter pack for knights, that are low on crowns, or energy. It comes with 2 tier 1 weapons, 2 tier 2 weapons, 2 tier 3 weapons, and with a very fancy helmet piece to go with that, but you must complete the mission making it more fun, and making it worth the six dollars. If your liking Spiral Knights, and you KNOW if your going to continue the game till the end, get this, you'll love it. The music....is amazing.... in the beginning, the first level is called "Storming the Fortress" and it goes GREAT with the level. You'll love this.
