Update #230 - Warzone!

This is an important time of the year for Carbon. July 4th is not only Independence Day in the US, but also Carbon's 5th birthday! We've packed this update full of new content to celebrate. New bundles will also be on sale! Check out the contents of each one, as there are some previously unreleased goodies to be found. These new bundles won't be around for long and can only be purchased once. Don't miss out!

Seven new maps have made their way into the queue, but you'll only find one available at first. Each day of the week will bring a different Warzone into play. Those who have proven their skills on these new maps might find a special item that allows them to play that map at any time. These treasures can only be obtained on the battlefield. New technologies have been discovered at these locations. Use them to greatly increase your mechs power and overcome the Iron Hand's forces.

There are a few balance updates to discuss here as well. Buster seems to have fallen out of players' loadouts since its range was reduced, so range is being bumped up a bit. To compensate, it's also losing 5 armor. Increasing Jackal's upkeep to 2 did work out as intended, but it wasn't a very popular change among PvP players. We're going to experiment a bit more and try out a cost increase instead. A couple of patches earlier, there were a lot of changes to carry stats. This hit Osprey and Helix the hardest, as carry speed, capacity, and the Lifter ability were all nerfed at once. At the same time, both of these mechs have very powerful primary abilities that are often the target of complaints. Missile damage and repair rate will be going down, and carry capacity will be restored to 2540 each. Be sure to post balance feedback on the forums. The Balance Council is always looking for more opinions!

  • added leaderboard notifications at endgame
  • added a slight delay before victory is shown at endgame

Bug Fixes:
  • fix for Baloom not triggering an explosion when passing over an enemy mech
  • fixed alignment with Twin Peaks' minimap viewbox
  • fixed missing Compliance stat in the Field Guide
  • fixed Blueprints link (was renamed from Skills)
  • fix for clicking the timed quest notification outside of the Home tab
  • fixed some collision issues and floating assets on Challenge maps

How to sum up AirMech in a few words, it's freaking amazing. I don't typically write a review but as a longer term player this game evolves constantly. The Devs for the game are helpful in chat answering questions people have along with even playing with the players creating new experiences. The game is updated constantly so there is always something to look forward to and the game its self can be played on lower end PC's. The controls can be a bit challenging so if your not too good with them controller use is available. In short AirMech is a fun free to play game with transforming robots and a good community. 10/10

This game seems fun to try and maybe play with your friends at first. All you do in this game is the same. Fire at people, shoot Creeps, and try to take over bases. This game can take up to an hour just to get to their base and try to kill it, and that could even take another hour. I highly do not suggest playing this game

Airmech is one of those cute games you pick up at one point and give it a try before you get so addicted to it that you need to limit yourself.

The game is simple in concept, really simple actually. But when it comes to fighting players for example, you need to think fast and have a good selection of units (Did I mention that you choose your own units?). At one point, the devs even made a troll unit what humps enemies. I wish I was kidding.

When it comes to items, you got a wide selection of items, hell, such a wide selection that the devs make literally anything an item. Even a damn teddy bear. A TEDDY BEAR. For example, there is a rare item which I believe you only get during summer and it's sunscreen. And by this game's logic, if you smear some sunscreen on your mech, you give it 5% more damage resistance.

When it comes to the main focus of the game which is the mechs, you got quite the wide selection. For example, I started playing when Ultimate Mechs were a thing, though during my break they were removed and I got full compensation for that by me keeping the Ultimate parts and skin of the ultimate mech I had (Ultimate Striker for those wondering). And I was satisfied cause the parts still made the mech strong as hell.

When it comes to mech choices you got a wide array of all sorts of mechs. There is the Angel for one, a sniper(If you focus on the rifle a lot it can be ♥♥♥♥ing OP, thanks airmech! <3) and you got the Osprey too which is a healer(Combine an Osprey with maxed healing capabilites and a Warthog with maxed damaged, you get basically the unholy love combo of Heavy and Medic from TF2. BTW, FemPyro is bae). One of the best mechs I had the pleasure of using is the Helix, whose alt fire is the fact he spams rockets. So, with a Helix, you could be going insane if you focus on the rockets.

Then we have cosmetics, nothing much to say about them other than there are skins for every mech, trails for when you walk or fly and tracers which color your lasers. And it seems that Airmech is starting to pump out auras too.

So, now one of the main focus points of the game, PVP.
PVP is, as mentioned before, quite the fast paced part of the game. After my long break, I was in a PVP match because a person said in Zone Chat if they won, they would give the loser a pet, if they lost, they would give the winner a VIP ticket (which lets you buy past event stuff and whatnot). And I was about to be ♥♥♥♥ing destroyed because the dude got 2 squadrons of tanks built near my base. But his ping went through the roof and I won.
Anyway, yeah, the PVP is fast as hell. THOUGH KEEP IN MIND, ULTIMATE MECHS AND UNITS ARE ONLY ALLOWED IN PVP MATCHES IF THEY ARE ALLOWED IN THE MATCH OPTIONS.

AND LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, THE COMMUNITY! (dun dun duuuun!)
The community is so ♥♥♥♥ing great I can't even handle it. The first time I started playing, an epic person gifted me the pack where I got my main mech (Ultimate Striker) and Prime Helix skin from. In addition to all the other mechs.
So yeah, the community is the icing on the cake and it's like getting a boob job for Hitomi Tanaka.

Removed fun game modes to shuffle more players onto new maps. Cannot play old maps with friends. Cannot play custom maps with friends at all without having prime, apparently. I am not buying the game a second time just to have access to a map editor. Used to be fun, but they really want you to play skirmish against randoms, not your friends.

look alot of negeive revews hear i feal do injustace to a great game, sure it has chainged ,but they did finaly come out with the campain they promised. Its a pve campain that is remanicent of an RTS. It is multi and single player. One more thing. In an update they soon will be adding new units that fly, heck they already added some. Some arenot purcesable from the store yet and some are. It adds a whole new kind of stradagy to the game. it makes the anti aircraft units not just usefull agains airmechs.
