Nice casual collectathon platformer. Contains platforming challenges, puzzles, secrets.

There are multiple interesting mechanics: eat things smaller than you to grow, attract and detract from things, control some mechanisms with telekinesis.
There are also parts where you use a jetpack instead. And some relaxed top-down levels.

The presentation is pretty nice and comical. Loaded with puns and game references.

★★★★★★★★☆☆

“Blobzilla, see my power and despair.”

A sentient blob of green syrup runs amok. This simple formula works amazingly well for Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, creating an entertaining and stylistic 2-D platformer game.

Your mission is to devour everything in each level as fast as possible. Therefore the puzzle sections are relatively easy and offer little delay in your search for the next (human) snack.

Fast paced action with a sarcastic note, finished with a darkly comic edge, there is something in for everyone. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

PROS:
- Original as hell.
- Fun and funny as hell.
- Glitch free and smooth as ♥♥♥♥.
- Puzzles aren't that difficult but still are a lot of fun and smooth as ♥♥♥♥.
- There are only a few soundtracks in the game (like three or four) but they never get old; the music is comical yet it has an apocalyptic feel with good melodies at the same time.
- Overall the game has a kind of Cartoon Network vibe so it makes me feel like a little kid again.

CONS:
- Epilogue cutscene was a bit of a letdown.
- Game was a bit too short to 100% (to me.)

Final Remarks:
DrinkBox Studios? Creator of Guacamelee? Sold!

. RECOMMENDED .

Soo..this Game is a funny, little action-puzzle-platformer. You are a mutant Blob and can eat everything (assuming that you are big enough)! And that's amazing...all the people are trying to flee screaming, but you are bigger. You are faster. And then you'll eat them. Mwuahaha.
The levels are short, the puzzels are not too easy and the graphics are really nice! There are a few cool "mini-games" as well.
Try this Game, if you are looking for something to play after a long day..
I recommend a Gamepad.

I got Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack in a Humble Bundle, installed it because it looked nice and then nearly forgot about it.

Months after that I had a really depressed sunday, lying on the couch not willing to do anything. I scrolled through my library and found this game. I was bored as well as I was unable to do something meaningful, so I tried it.

What shall I say? Mutant Blobs was the best cure for that day. If the world really sucks there is no better thing than beeing a grumpy looking Blob who eats stuff, grows bigger and eats everything. Houses, humans, the whole world.
The storytelling is nice (as far as there is a story) and reminded me very much of World of Goo. Level design is funny and the gameplay is quite casual. I would recommend a controller.

If you don't want so save the world in a game but DESTROY it in a CUTE way, give this game a shot. It's not very long and it doesn't challenge you too much. The achievements are quite easy to unlock but still there are some to let you do some levels twice or trice. Playing this game is the best thing you can do when you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off because the world appears to suck more than usual.
Love it.
