Gish meets Katamari? Mutant Blobs Attack is a simple puzzle platformer where you eat stuff to get bigger so you can eat bigger stuff in order to progress through the short levels. The gameplay is fun, the controls are intuitive, it's mildly challenging in certain spots, and there's kind of a story thrown in as well. It's satisfying for at least one play through, maybe more if you want to go achievement hunting.

This is a solid platformer with unique soft-body physics. The physics make an interesting twist on the mechanics. The fake humorous signs are alone worth playing the game for. I was laughing throughout the game and laughing hysterically towards the end.

A new twist on Katamari. Not nessasarily timed, but there will be times when you need to run. Consume and grow to that you can take revenge on those who would do experiments on you. Use your wits to solve puzzles and get to the end of level as quickly and a big as possible if you want leader board bragging rights. Great short game, 8/10

Cool platformer with some light puzzles. While there's no extreme challenges or frustrating, "impossible" parts, this game remains fun throughout. I appreciated the game's sense of humor and attention to detail.

My only gripe (a minor one) is that the controls were sometimes annoying; I played the entire game with a 360-style controller, but some parts required mouse-precision to move platforms so I had to temporarily switch to using my mouse. Overall, a very minor annoyance in an otherwise fun title.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is a 2D side-scrolling puzzle-platform game that heirs the concept of Katamari franchise: eat, get big, continue. The game is really simple and short. But that is not a problem. The gameplay time seems right, it took me around 4 hours long, and I had no difficulties so far. The story? Well, not a big story to get in love. Just the basic to get you flowing and eating everything. One of the biggest qualities of this game is the humour. Seriously, the game is packed with humorous references to other indie games and to the entertainment world as a whole. The music is ok. The controls are sharp. It feels good to play on a controller, but you can beat it on a keyboard as well.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack has its flaws but it's worthy playing it. Try it when you just want a humorous game that will let you relax from a hard day.

Score: 7.8 out of 10.

I must say I'm disapointed by this game. I'm a big fan of Guacamelee, got all achievements, one of my favourite indie games, etc. But apart from the look and the humor, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is far less good than Guacamelee. Controls are bad, level design is sometimes terrible, the camera will mess with your nerves and there are few bugs (minor tho). If you can have it cheap, why not.

Fantastic game. There were a few parts that felt impossible at first, but the game is generous with checkpoints, and I don't think I had to attempt anything more than about 10 times before succeeding. It's a lot of fun, with some challenging puzzles, funny cut-scenes and a nice look. Definitely recommended.

Gobble up everything :D ... well everything up to a certain size.

You are a blob in a 2D mostly sidescrolling puzzle platformer.
You want to find your friends (other blobs) and eat everything you find and is small enough.
Due to the feasting - you will grow, so big, that you are able to leave the current map and go to the next one.

Funny casual game - maps take a only a few minutes.

A really great game with fluid gameplay and great art-style.
Especially the little cutscenes and the references to other games on billboards made me giggle quite a few times.
I bought it on a Steam Sale, without great expectations and i was blown away by this little game.

If you like 2D-Platformers with unique gameplay-mechanics and great visuals, you should give it a try. Hey, it´s just a few bucks on Sale, go get it!

CONS:
- too difficult after some time...

Absolutely, positively, hands-down one of the "funnest" games ever made. You play a blob who graduates from being a mere splotch in a university campus to a monster big enough to eat the entire SOLAR SYSTEM! As simultaneously silly and genius as it sounds, and clever enough in its design that even an eejit of limited hand-eye coordination and puzzle-solving skills like yours truly could get through the ♥♥♥♥er...though some serious perseverance was required in a few bits, let me tell ya! About the only remotely constructive criticism I can manage is that a few such insanely-difficult patches could use an extra checkpoint or two in their midst, but all those clever ♥♥♥♥♥ who think they're the bees-♥♥♥♥in'-knees are gonna see this as a plus and not a negative anyway, so it's barely even worth mentioning. One of those rare games you can safely recommend to just about "everyone", or at least just about anyone with even a pinch of open-mindedness and eclecticism within their tastes. HIGHLY ♥♥♥♥ING RECOMMENDED. And a steal even at full price!!!

Verdict: 10/10.

These guys get humour right!
The game is very fun, and the controls are also fun to use.
The narative is also quite fun, and the developers constantly make jabs, jokes and references to gaming culture. It's great. Pick this game up, I'm sure you'll have fun with it.
