As far as console ports go this one isn't very bad.

You're a rollerblader in "I can't believe it's not Tokyo". For an old game they put in some genuine effort to scale the engine upwards which helps a lot. Controls are customisable which reduces some of the console gamepad feeling (but it still prompts you to use gamepad buttons in the tutorial which is frustrating).

Unfortunately the gameplay is a little stale and dated, and the graphics artifacts don't look very compelling anymore. Console ported controls, while customisable, still work out a little awkward on KB+M.

Unless you played the original Sega game and wanted some nostalgia, it's not worth going back in time for this. Certainly not worth $7 as they're charging for it.

As someone who played the original, it might be nostalgia glasses but my god are the controls and character control sloppy as hell for a port of a game that requires you to skate away from laser targetted tear gas.

A truly original arcade game experience and a reminder of the glory days of the House of Sonic.
JSR is a colourful cell shaded masterpiece where you skate, grind and spray your away around the brightly neon light streets of Tokyo to a J-pop/dance/hard to describe soundtrack (worth it for that alone IMO).

Harmless but addictive fun with a lil clunky controls as it seems their still as annoying as on Dreamcast/PS3, definitely play with a pad (PS3 on mine but Xbox would work too).

It's playable but if you're looking at this and wondering if it's as good as jet set radio future. then you're 100% wrong. The characters are a-lot slower the controls are a-lot more clunky as well and sometimes unresponsive. you can tell this game is older. the visuals are okay and everything about it is fine I just didn't like it, it wasn't very fun for me compaired to Future.

JET SET RADIOOOOOOO!!!!!!! *funky music playing*

if you like getting shot, this is the game for you. this game is filled with skaters and policemen who send tanks after them. it has wonderful and funky music and a good gameplay like vandalism.

it needs a controller to be played effectively though.

JSR is a very good game, with the soundtrack being its biggest advantage. Can be frustrating sometimes, though.

-The best game
-Amazing everything
-Original
-Simple
-Use a controller
-Jet Set Radio Future was even better in my opinion and Jet Set Radio is already 15/10
-Only request would be to add online multiplayer to Jet Set Radio Future and to bring it back in HD

Can we get a good quality steam port of the sequel plz? And then some brand new sequels plz? :3

Review: JSR is a colorful retro 3d platformer. Gameplay is little more like Sonic or Mario than Tony Hawk. Amazing music and art. Singleplayer only. Xbox controller or equivalent recommended.
