About This Game

Gain access to the full season [7 episodes] of Law & Order: Legacies by purchasing the series from the start, which will act as your gateway to obtaining all of the episodes in a season long saga that puts the outcome in your hands.

All 7 Episodes are now available immediately upon purchasing the full season.

In Law & Order: Legacies, you will play as the detectives, questioning a range of suspects—then use your knowledge of the case to evaluate whether they are lying or telling the truth. You can also search the scene of a crime for clues, and use those clues in your investigation.

Once in court, you will act as prosecutors to elicit testimony on the stand, and object to the Defense attorneys when they get out of line. As the jury watches, their sympathies will sway to one side or the other. The jury’s feelings about your case will affect the outcome, as well as your ability to negotiate a good plea bargain—should you choose to do so.

Key Features:

  • PLAY THE SHOW as police, investigating crimes; and then as district attorneys, prosecuting the offenders.
  • JOIN A DREAM TEAM CAST of fan-favorite investigators and prosecutors from multiple Law & Order franchises, including Olivia Benson, Lennie Briscoe, Rey Curtis, Jack McCoy and many more.
  • DISCOVER MULTIPLE ENDINGS with innovative court room game play based on your moral decisions: convict, plea bargain, or find the defendant not guilty!
  • INVESTIGATE 7 standalone cases that also piece together a season-wide mystery.
  • Based on NBC Universal’s Emmy-winning Law & Order series, TV’s top-rated and longest-running crime series.

The good: Classic Tale Tale, when it comes to decison making.
Not only do you solve the crimes, but you also take the crime you just solved to court and try to convince the jury.
If you're into moral conflict and things like that, this is a good game
Very informative and educational for people who aren't into the law or have no idea how supreme courts work
The bad:
The graphics arent great, and the audio timing seems to never be on point consistently
Since the graphics arent great it's hard to go off of expressions for answers
It's point and click through and through, i dont mind but some people may dislike.

I have a love/hate relationship with this game.

I love it for its complexity on story (and on that note, I must warn you, this is for people who like story A LOT). Each episode has its indivudal story but all in either a small or large way tie into one, overarching story. There's a lot of fanservice to those of us who are Law and Order fans.

The hate comes in, in that it's too short I feel. They insinuate that they may make more episodes, but it's been a while, and there's been no movement or new press releases on that front.

If you REALLY like Law and Order, and REALLY like games where you have to listen and pay attention, then this is for you. It's not for everyone, and that's OK.

The game is a simple point and click. It's a decent game that is worth playing if you are a Law and Order fan. The trial part of the game where you take the role of the DA is really interesting. Overall the game is solid enough to where I think it's worth at least one playthrough. One playthrough is probably all you will do because choices have little to no effect on the game, unlike other TT games. Most of the effect takes place within the episode you play.

6,5/10

+ investigating crimes and then prosecuting the offenders is interesting
+ gameplay relies on you listening carefully the dialogues and sometimes finding clues in a scene, everything is logical in that sense
+ good length for all 7 episodes
+ recommended for fans of the show

- gameplay is very casual and shallow, finding clues is like a hidden object scene, giving the right answers in dialogues is just too easy
- prosecuting is just bad, you have to object etc being a lawer, which is interesting at first but becomes tiresome soon
- average presentation

This is a really good game if you're a fan of the TV series like I am. The cases do require some memory retention of your conversations but nothing you can't handle since it also provides a transcript of everything you talk about. In addition to the standard point and click style there's on occasion a bit of a hidden object portion when you're looking for evidence.

The detective portion is straight forward and pretty easy. The trials are slightly more of a challenge since you'll have to recognize legal terms that aren't always blatantly easy to spot. Although if you don't like the outcome of the case you can always replay that part until you get the result you want. Don't even have to replay it from the beginning.

There's in game tutorial for the first 2-3 cases and then the game stops holding your hand and reminding you how to do things. The voice acting is good despite not having the original actors and the dialogue can sometimes be comical. Overall a good adventure game that pays homage to a great show. I only wish I could skip the end credits that play after each episode. I don't watch them during the show no reason I should have to sit through it for the game.

If you're going into this expecting something on par with The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us you will likely be disapointed. I love Law and Order so I figured this was a natural fit. Unfortunately the voice acting is horrible. The fact that the real actors don't provide the voices is bad enough, but when you combine it with an unnatural cadence that occasionally sounds like someone plugged the script into a Microsoft Sam and Mary reader the result is less then steallar. Its made even more frustrating by the fact that for split seconds they actually sound like the original actors before quickly falling back into that Microsoft Sam/Mary dynamic.

The gameplay, though never a Telltale strength, isn't as seamless as their more recent titles. In an effort to make it a crime solving game there will be many mechanics that will feel foriegn to newer players such as circling items with a mouse to investigate rather then simply clicking on it. I also wasn't to crazy about how the game stressed'correct and incorrect' choices as part of the appeal of these type of narrative heavy games is that in the end there really is no true right or wrong.

I love Telltale and though I'm not happy with the game itself its not all bad when you consider I had a chance to help out one of the better developers in gaming today.

Horrible.

This was one of the more excrutiating experiences of my life. The series had very minor flashes of brilliances, compounded with monotonoy and confusion. Throughout the 7-part melodrama there is an overarching plot of a crime that dated pregame - which I hope is referenced in the actual TV show. This drama is propelled with boring find-me minigames and question and answer period that rely on your memory of not just the case you're in but previous cases as well. I did enjoy the cross-examination phase of the trials, but the answers are either incredibly easy to deduce or incredibly dificult.

I bought this for 5 dollars and I still feel like I paid too much.

I've never seen the show but still really enjoyed this game.

Gameplay is well paced with the story and everything you do linking together. I felt more consequence from failing at something in this game since the story keeps moving on unlike other Telltale games. This mechanic extends replayability and gets the player more emotionally invested in the characters. Interrogations and courtroom conflicts not only have you referencing previous events but dictating the future so while linear feels like choose your own adventure.

If you like the show and want more this game would be a good purchase. Not so much a game as an interactive adventure. But the story are good and it is very cool going thru the motions. Entertaining but not really a standout game. It is like a simple memory/law game with good cut scenes.

Law & Order: Legacies is a VERY good game. This season spans over 7 "episodes", in which you have to solve cases relevant to that episode's scenario. Over the 7 episodes, you will start to see that they come together, and in the final episodes, you will see how all of these cases come together as one. I reccomend this game to fans of the show, mystery games, and the Phoenix Wright series of games. Law & Order: Legacies is definately a game you do not want to miss out on.

The graphics are the main problem of the game. The backgrounds are just plain ugly. They are low resolution and badly drawn.
But graphics are not everything, right? There comes the next problem of the game, which is the gameplay.
It is just asking you questions about what happened and you have to give reasons for the answer being yes or no.
Kinda boring.

What kept me playing is the stories and being a Law and Order fan. Although they do not have original voice actors.
So if you are a fan of the TV Series, this game is for you. Everyone else might find it not so enjoyable.
Olivia Benson from SVU kinda sweetens the game though.

When you come to find that ♥♥♥♥ Wolf has lent his name to such a game, you come to accept the that the game is automatically a masterpiece. Without a doubt this is my game of the year for atleast the next several decades. RIP Lenny Briscoe.

This game is interesting and fun to play the first 3 episodes but later becomes short and repetitive. It is worth a play though.

Did you ever want to be a cop? This game offers the experience of being a cop in the sense that it's very linear and everyone has a one-liner or comeback, just like real life. Plus, someone offers to bribe you with donuts!

Fans of Law & Order and people who like casual games and crime dramas will definitely enjoy this.
I liked the gameplay of both the investigations and courtrooms. It may not have striking graphics but the stories are great and I loved everything about playing this game. I wish there was more!
