Reload your shotgun, sharpen your sword and rev that chainsaw; Deadhill town is teeming with zombies, and it’s your job to put ‘em down! The fate of humanity rests in the hands of four unlikely heroes: Jack, the gamer; Rachel, the girl; Brian, the geek; and Luxo, the alien. Go it alone, or enlist the services of up to three like-minded chums to survive the zombie apocalypse.

The spiritual successor to Burn Zombie Burn!, All Zombies Must Die! builds on the classic twin-stick shooter formula with a smattering of role-playing features. Level up characters, complete side quests and collect items to craft deadly new weapons. There’s no shortage of options in how you choose to dispose of the undead, but the brain-chompers aren’t going to take it lying down. The shuffling cadavers come in varying shapes and sizes, and are affected by four environmental modifiers; fire, radiation, sonic and shock. Use your weapons and the environment carefully, and you might just make it out in one piece.

"Ok i thought not another ZOMBIE game AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH" but start playing and you realise that this is one fun and entertaining little game and it has a brilliant sense of humour (not all jokes are for CHILDREN though so beware).
You start the game in the town square and it all feels a little "ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBOURS" but play some more and you come to realise that it isnt that game at all and rather a sort of arcade game with slight rpg overtones in it.
Now i say slight as when you clear the first screen and get onto the next after solving a few fetch and carry missions (fun to play and not boring ones) you then have to clear the police station of all the zombies and then the police station becomes your base from which to set out from to complete missions and find the relevent items you need to upgrade the weapons you have (also when rummaging through the searchable items such as garbage cans and cupboards ECT-you find the developers cards and then you activate the "DEV CARD HUNT CHALLENGE").
Keep playing and eventually your team grows to 4 members (now i wont say what they all are so as not to spoil the surprise-YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GUESS WHEN PLAYING I DID) each bring different weapons to the game and also the chance to upgrade your weapons with different abbilities also,at certain points you have to play as each character as not all characters are allowed to pass all gates or complete all quests.
Now if you die whilst doing these quests and havent got through the gate to the next level,the game will put you back to the start of the level and you will have to try again (even if you did find that elusive weapon part) and this is the part of the game that frustrated me the most (but actually in a good way-READ ON) but also came to be the best gameplay element in the game.Now why do i say this,well i will tell you why and its really simple "IT MAKES YOU PLAY THE GAME BETTER AND THEREFORE GET BETTER AT IT" upto the point where no matter how many zombies are on screen you can and allways feel like you can do the next quest and beat all of the damn things.
Now this brings me to the security gates,some open straight away (and all the ones near your base open with no quest activated) but others set you an in level challenge,say to kill 10 zombies with the criket bat or set 25 zombies on fire ect but all these quests are fun and offer a little in game distraction from what you were doing at that moment.
The graphics in game are great for this sort of game (the zombies are all funny and shuffle around in typical comedy zombie fashion),the sound and music in game is also good and the script is funny but some jokes arent really aimed at the younger generation ("WHAT DID THAT GAME JUST SAY MUM" "ITS OK BILLY WILL EXPLAIN WHEN YOUR OLDER").
All in all this game is well made and adds a needed comedy injection in the arm to an allready over populated genre of game.So if your looking for another ZOMBIE game and want something a little different give this one a go and you want be dissapointed "BBRRRRAAAIINNNNNSSSS".

This is a fun casual shooter game for fans of classics like Zombies Ate My Neighbors! What it lacks in depth it makes up for in character. Run and gun through some humourous zombie-infested levels while listening to the instructions of a wisecracking narrator. Ultimately I couldn't stick with it; partially because I found the gameplay tedious and the challenge unforgiving.

Boring
This is like something you would get for free on an ipad with a cash store for silly outfits and weapons. There is no depth, the story is one dimensional, the art style and writing is cartoonishly childish. Go into a hallway with a dog and a 4 year old and try to keep a balloon from hitting the ground- WAY more fun! Playing hide and go seek with a cat is more fun. Set out a piece of candy near an ant pile and try to kill them all/protect the candy . . . more fun than this game. Run backwards in a circle and point at your walls and yell BANG BANG, now you are at about the level of fun this game provides . . . no kidding. No substance. Sorry. But hey, I got this as part of a humble bundle so whatever, right?

Probably best to steer clear of this title. Certainly not the worst game I've ever played, but far from the best. Might be worth looking at if you get it dirt cheap, are planning to play it with friends in a party-type setting, and you remember to switch off friendly fire.

Pros: an appealing visual style, arcade gameplay( might want to think of it as something of a Robotron-RPG hybrid), strives for a lighthearted, humorous tone.

Cons:
Not sure if this is a multi-player vs single player issue, but as the game progressed the quests tended to get vaguer and more irksome solo . Having the game tell you that the "my first science kit" drop has been activated is significantly less informative than telling the player that they'll have to kill some number of zombies with the sonic effect active - although even that makes significantly less sense than having the "my first science kit" in a box in the Mall's toy shop. There are quite a few retrieve-item-x from searchable containers quests, which are annoying because it takes a significant amount of time to search these objects, a problem with constantly replenishing swarms of zombies that seem to spawn more quickly with the passage of time. But this could be less of an issue if players get to divide searching and zombie management duties.

The game could have used a compass is always on toggle in the game options menu, since certain in-game situations can clear the current compass, which can be a nuiscance. Not a huge issue but it would have been one less aggravation.


Although its heart seems to be in the right place, All Zombies Must Die is also not very good, so it's a C- title to me.
