I would be less insulted by having to pay $10 to play what should have been in the base game if Paradox actually bothered to do a little research, but sadly this was not the case. Paradox, I get that you're Swedish, but could you not just literally read the Wikipedia page on Iqta government? It's not feudalism. Iqta governments were focused around the Sultan who was responsible for all parts of his realm and his underlings were responsible mostly for taxation and keeping up with local business and day-to-day concerns. The Sultan was still the only one who could go to war, the only one who had the loyalty of the citizenry, and the only one that really mattered. It wasn't feudalism for Muslims, and the fact that you seem to have not even made an attempt to reflect this is, honestly, insulting.

If you want to make a game that's not historical, fine. But stop trying to pass this game off as "historical" or "accurate" when you can't be bothered to do the tiniest amount of research.

The Muslim culture adds a whole new way to play the game. The succession law can be pretty powerful if played correctly. Killing family members, although frowned upon, is almost a necessity if you don't get the right traits with the decadence system. Jihading has never been so fun.

I basically removed Shia, but now I have a ton of decadence because of my nephews and now i'm having a ton of revolts. I manage to become know as "The holy" to erase my title as "The quarreler". My title doesn't change. I decide to have a Ramadan feast or whatever, and no one comes. Then I get rid of every heresy or non-islamic religion. I then get dethroned by a revolt. The best part about all of this?

I'm the Sunni caliph.

If this DLC has taught me anything, let's just say I won't expect any Muslims I meet to be all that grateful.

Great DLC, good options. Unlocks one of the three originally unplayable faction groups to let you play from the other side. With DLC that add older time periods you can play as some of the major Muslim people in history, except the Prophet of course.

One of the larger & more interesting DLCs for CKII. If you're just starting out with expanding, I'd go with this one and The Old Gods. Both really expand on Europe's big medieval rivals to the North and South.

Just a note to people new to the game, CKII DLC doesn't "unlock" features from the original release. Most of this content was added long after release, and Paradox releases it as part of a free patch so everyone's game is on the same page. If you've patched, then the AI is using most of the new features & content. If *you* want to use it, you'll need the DLC. For example, if you don't want to play a Merchant Republic, you can skip The Republic and your game won't be "incomplete".

With this DLC, i now no longer feel the need to fly to Syria and join ISIL; I now can wage glorious jihad from the comfort of my very own basement. I give it 9 out of 11 Muhammed-points.

Allahu ackbar!

Probably the best DLC to buy along with Old Gods and Legacy of Rome. Playing Muslim rulers is too good. I just wish they would make decadence a bit more difficult to manage, it virtually impossible to go higher then 0%.

Well, I recently discovered that Paradox unlucks key DLC features regardless of the game- originally, I just thought these were all in the game upon original release, or at least most of them. So fair enough, this is alright. Paradox no longer deserves such hatred.

However, it still is NOT worth 9.99. I mean, come on, with 9.99 you could buy an entirely different game. On the other hand, like I said before, if you really want to play as a Muslim go for it. It really doesn't add enough features to be worth 9.99. So my final verdict is;

Don't buy it unless A) You really love the based game and want more, or B) It is on a sale.

Seriously paradox? You purposely lock features of the game so you can "develop" them for release later? You can't just you know, unlock them and then add expansions to different things? Why don't you guys just add stuff that should clearly already be in the game on release? There's too much of this planned dlc garbage and pre-release nonsense going on here and its become the policy of basically every company out there. 1/10 stars of david.
