When I first loaded this, it worked just great! It was a good way to build a character that fit with the traits I knew I had in real life, and to see if such a character would fair well in Medieval Europe (was assassinated by my brother's son for imprisoning him when he killed a servant at one of my feasts).

Had no troubles with this DLC when loaded with Swords of Islam, Legacy of Rome, and The Republic loaded in and only those with Ruler Designer, no Unit packs or anything.

But if you want to play with any DLCs Old Gods or After, don't expect to have your computer run when you start the game from the launcher. I've had to force-restart the entire computer when this happened; I couldn't CTRL+ALT+DEL, ALT-F4, or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC out of it, it just froze like that. I even have 2 monitors, one with the task manager on it at all times, and the mouse and keyboard were both completely unresponsive.

In short, this DLC is not optimized for any DLC from Old Gods onward. It doesn't look like the DLC will be optimized for it anytime soon, and I'm afraid it never will. If that changes, I will rewrite my review accordingly.

This is my favourite game in all of my 300+ games but this DLC is utter crap.

The content it adds should be in the base game and even then it sucks.

This should not be a DLC. And yet it is something I like to have since creating your own character and noble house to play as can be more fun than just picking some random person. So basically what i'm saying is that this is a cool thing, but Paradox are ♥♥♥♥♥♥s for making this a DLC.

Nice addition to the game in theory, though I'll add my voice to the general opinion of "why is this a DLC?"
In addition, using this in a game PREVENTS ACHIEVEMENTS. Why would you do that to me, Paradox? I was already willing to deal with the constant, clunky autosave of Ironman for the achievements, so why won't you let me use the thing that I gave you money for? Without achievements, I might as well just use mods, since there's no reason to do Ironman otherwise.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ is this DLC.
I mean, I like that this is a thing but it shouldn't be DLC.
