Poor visuals, poor controls, horrible dialogue, barely functional voice recognition.

I would be upset if I spent money on this game.

This game is definietly one of the best games from SEGA, and it has got a great story too. The characters are well written, the plot, as I mentioned is great, the difficulty is balanced. The shooting in this game is feels good, especially when the robots are tearing into little pieces. I can totally recommend this game. (but before you start the game, deactivate your mic ingame)

This game is what happens when Resident Evil 5 has a baby with Final Fantasy, in the I Robot universe.

An excellent cover shooter with allot of weapon options other than your main weapon, that you can pickup or purchase on the fly. Including an upgrading/purchasing system to modify & customize your characters spec & loadout as you see fit.

Memorable characters, that you can speak through a mic to, or just manually choose your communicating options through the 'Tab' key to earn 'Trust' with, that further creates immersion in your experience.

Friendly fire and choosing the wrong voice chat options will lower your trust and therefore alter the outcome of the game. A game truly of its own caliber, Highly Recommend.

Great game from Sega as a third person shooter with a good storyline. It included great graphics for a game from 2012, voice commands, and non-stop action. Took about 8 hours for me to finish this game at a good pace. Would play again :D

What I disliked :

- The voice recognition is pretty buggy
- The controls aren't great either ... lots of "Press M" or "Press *strange symbol*", probably because it is a console port

The best terminator simulator of all time. The exact place you hit your enemies matter, unlike 100% of other action shooter games. It has more options than a VATS system

Hit legs -> enemies now crawl
Hit gun-> enemies unarmed
Hit hands-> enemies can now only kick
Hit head -> enemies join your team
Hit torso -> expose his bleeding mechanical heart

It's great

I got this game during one of Sega's giveaways and at it sat in my library for the longest time. Now that I have recently beaten it for the backlog's sake, I can confirm that this was a really really fun game.

Binary Domain is a third person shooter set in Japan in which you are a soldier on a covert op and you get to kill robots. There is more of a story, but for me, I just like the fact that I am in futuristic Tokyo and I get to shoot lots and lots of robots. You get to team up with a memorable cast of characters and while you don't get lots of backstory, you definitely will form bonds with them. There is a trust system in which how you handle yourself in combat and in various dialogs will effect how much your comrades trust you, and ultimately, which ending you'll get. Oh yes, there are two endings.

The look of this game is great. I never had any problems with lag and glitches. The voice acting was well done, but some of the dialog was repetitive, especially during combat. The music and sounds are great in keeping up with the non-stop action of the game. While you are mostly fighting, there are pop up scenarios that almost feel like mini-games throughout the campaign, such as escape scenarios and car chases. The game really has an arcade kind of feel at times, and it helps keep it fun not stressful.

The only negative are the controls. Sometimes the controls are not clear. There were many times when I was told to press "M". Well, after looking at an online guide, I found out the game meant "mouse", not the "M" on the keyboard. There are multiple forums on the internet asking for help in various situations due to poor control layout, especially in timed scenarios.

I'm really glad that I got this game. Now that I know how fun it is, I would definitely recommend it at full price. It's fun, has an entertaining story, cool characters, and a great setting. There is definite replayability since different comrades leads to different ends. I know at least another playthrough is definitely in the future.

its like a good terminator game but without time traveling and in my opinion its one of the most underrated games of 2012 ohh and one of the few sega games that didn't give me any problems with game difficulty or keyboard controls lol .
-the plot : climate changes and earth is flooded, water levels rises , people died, so the government decided to build new cities above the water lines but that work needs hard workers so they decided to build robot for that ,the geneva made some laws forbidding people to create robots that resemble to humans physically and emotionally but suddenly a robot shows up as humans and the worst part that even he did know that he was a robot , so geneva send the best rust cruit ( special ops ) in japan to investigate ( japan is the only country that has the technology to build stuff like that obviously) + plot twist around every corner and that's how i love my games ( can't predict whats is really going on until the last second) .
-gameplay : just like in gears of war , you run , shoot and take cover + you can dodge attacks (like in dark souls) and punch like a main :p ( you get bonus score for it ) + RPG elements ( lvl up your main weapon and characters ) the new thing is that you can shoot robot in the legs to slow them down or arms so they drop their weapons (but they adapt to it and try different tactics) or in the head so they turns against each others also the thing i really loved is that the plot and the gameplay changes with your teammates, how you treat them in game for exemple if you help them they will be there for you and if you disrespect them and shoot them they will lose respect and disobey your orders ( yes you can give orders to your teammates) you can also have romance with one of them ( only one i think i wont say who so i don't spoil the game ;) ) and if you have a mic then you can say the orders and response ( was a good thing in 2012 for more in game immersion and too lazy to push TAB lol ) ,the game takes place in a futuristic japan , cities , slums , factories ...act + you have different enemies and bosses ( some of them are really hard and gives a good challenge) . ffinally about the team , you have around 7 teammates (from different country ) and each one has different skills and mood and each one change the plot a bit .
-sound : one of the best voice acting ( total immersion ) , nice soundtrack , perfect sound effect and like i said , if you have a mic then you can give orders directly to you team.
-the multiplayer is dead , servers are empty most of the time so don't bother buying the dlc
- full controller support but i have more fun playing with the keyboard and mouse ( helps with a good target precision specialty on hard mode)
-didn't face any problems with the game , no bugs or glitches ( game is well optimized for pc and works fine on windows 10 64 bit).
- achievements works fine and easy to get (story related) to but sadly some of them are multiplayer related so you cant complete the game at 100%
-no steam trading cards
well i think i said the most important things about this game , you should give it a try if you like japan ( kinda ), robots and a good story with plot twists in a futuristic settings and dont bother with the dlcs ( skins with no real effect on the game ) and the other one is for multiplayer and like i said the muli is dead

Note: I recieved this product for free as part of the SEGA Make War Not Love promotion.

It had been sitting in my library for quite some time before i started to play it. But after finishing the amazing single-player campaign i cannot understand why i waited so long playing this game. It is a real hidden game and i would definitely recommond you buy it.

In this game you need to infiltrate Tokyo and arrest a guy and get information. After a while you get 2 french, 1 chinese, 2 brits and your american pal to help you with it, all with different weapon characteristics. During the game you frequently split up into 2 teams. What makes this game unique is that every time you split up you get to choose your own teammates to do it.

I don't want to spoil the ending of this game, but you have to believe me there are moments in which this game brings you to tears, and that is amazing for a shooter game.

Great game. Plays like any third person shooter but has vehicle and chase missions every now and then as well as interesting bossfights. The trust system is a nice feature, you basically get your trust level up by interacting with teammates and performing well in combat, it affects story progression and how well they follow you commands. Story is very interesting too, has some transhumanist themes in it which I personally really like. Graphics look pretty good and haven't really encountered any bugs.

The voice recognition feature is a great idea but unfortunately it didn't work properly for me so I had to give commands with my keyboard instead. Can't really say anything about the online features because I haven't used those yet.

Pretty cool cover shooter with some interesting mechanics and rather good story. Voice acting is also surprisingly solid. Unfortunately many gameplay aspects are not fully fleshed out. Can become stale at times. Still worth checking out. It's a shame that there is no chance for a sequel.
