An absolutely terrible game. I'm not sure what's worse, the torrent of glitches that await the players or the goddawful game mechanics themselves. Everything about this game is awkward and clunky not to mention being poorly optomized for PC in both controls and graphical effects. Bloom lighting that makes Spock's eyes glow red, reproducable glitches that allow you to walk through walls, the ability to intentionally or accidentally trap your partner in a turbolift requiring a restart, the ability to appear to be spinning around while walking, inconsistent jump mechanics, poor collision detection, inconsistent gameplay mechanics (sometimes you can pass through each other, sometimes you are solid), resolution settings that are forgotten between sessions, weapon loadout being reset between maps/sessions, broken cutscenes that you can die in, certain controls cannot be rebound even though others can (I'm looking at you, crouch) and a whole host of other issues. Want to see how bad this game is? Watch our co-op playthrough.
Just don't buy it.

If you have at least some simpathy towards Star Trek, do NOT play this game. It is so repetitive and boring that I could not even finish it. Not even bother to know what is the ending, as there is absolutely no plot, just killing Gorns for no reason.

This game in a nutshell - shoot the gorn, take his weapon, shoot other gorns, press the switcher, scan an object, shoot the gorn. You only have 2 weapon types and a grenage, each weapon has 2 designs (Planet Federation and Gorn), but specs are identical.

Physics are rubbish and so is everything else. Oh, yes, you can also fly the Enterprise at least twice (as I said, I could not finish the bloody thing) with the new film "Scotty" shouting: "Captain, our shields will not last long!". You know what, Scotty, shut the hell up! I have a shield-level bar on the left of my screen, plus, you must be a 5 year old girl to miss these Gorn ships that are flying and not even shooting half a metre away from the Enterprise's beams. By the way, Scotty, where are our freaking photon torpedoes? Oh, so you are saying we do not even have them and there is no option to procure one... That does it, new film Scotty, you are fired!

To all honesty, simplicity of the game can acutally be perceived alright if you want to play it with your younger sibling, as the co-op mode is present.

Overall, this game serves as a Golden Standard of how NOT to make a game.

With broken mechanics, an incredibly dull story and some very disappointing voice acting, this is a game to avoid. The graphics are servicable but boring. There's almost nothing to recommend this game for including the dreadful level design.

Avoid

It´s better then most reviews says, especially if you play in COOP. As i understand it was broken on steam on release but it has been patched now.

It has quite a few minor glitches and the AI in the game isn´t the best, but as a COOP game it still works and there is some funny moments and a lot of stuff to collect during gameplay.

On PC you would want a few more options in the settings, like AA, AF and FOV-settings for example, it´s a bit silly to not include those this day and age, but still it runs at 120Hz with V-sync on if you have a 120Hz monitor - that´s something :)

Even for all its shortcommings, if you are a fan of Star trek and have a friend to play with i´d recomend it if you realize that there are some glitches. It´s still a rather fun game imo.
