Pretty much an 'upgraded' Space Invaders but with extra mechanics to make it more interesting and fun. Can be quick to finish the game but overall it's great!

Titan Attacks is proof that certain games are timeless and endlessly influential. Titan Attacks is essentially Space Invaders by another name. You take control of a little green orbital defence vehicle and shoot the hell out of steadily descending alien invaders, while at the same time avoiding their bombs and lasers.Titan Attacks looks both retro and modern, with simple graphics befitting a game like this.Unlike Space Invaders, Titan Attacks isn't plodding and deliberate. It's fast-paced and souped-up. You'll see everything it has to offer in only a couple of hours of play, but that's because it moves at such a fast clip. It's a basic game in design and premise with just enough there to keep things interesting, and while it's not even remotely going out on a ledge with new design philosophies, beautiful graphics, or a lengthy campaign, its hook resides in its quaintness. It's unapologetically old-school.

Another fantastic looking retro game from Puppygames! It is the 2014 version of the classic game, Space Invaders, where you are the last surviving tank commander defending Earth from alien invasion.

The idea is still same as in 1978. Alien forces slowly approach you, while you bring destruction with your tank and laugh at them. At the same time you collect points and upgrades, which you then use for tank upgrades between levels. Upgrades vary from shields to extra ammo and smart bombs etc. Nothing major or too complex though, just enough to give the old concept a refreshing twist.

It's a great and challenging mini game that pretty much anyone with two working hands and a set of brains can start playing immediately.

Do you a favor: buy this game and educate yourself. You´ll become addicted by its simplicity and realize how lame game industry is nowadays, spending millions of dollars developing boring, repetitive and unnatractive games.

I originally picked up Titan Attacks! because I had a 90% off coupon. I had little to no expectation as far as entertainment value. I’m pleasantly surprised to report that I don’t hate it. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a modern knock off of Space Invaders sprinkled with a pinch of Galaga. Definitely worth a $1.00, maybe $3.00… not $10.00.

I recommend this title… On Sale. 5/10.

I'll start by saying this. "I didn't like space invaders". You can all call it what you will, but I thought it was fun for a quick bas, but nothing more than 30mins before the frustration sets in. Titan attacks is the re-imagined space invaders for the younger generation. After booting it up for the first time, the neon graphics took hold and determination set in to see just how much these developers wanted me to like there game. It has persistent upgrades to aim for, boss fights, different enemy types with differing attacks. It is essentially, it is still space invaders, just with a bit of makeup and sheeps fur. I have now played 10hrs and have fully enjoyed the experience. This coming from somebody who doesn't like space invaders! 8/10

Titan Attacks is a very fun and addictive game. It is almost like a modern take on Spack Invaders which works really well as they have added more to it which is implements in the game well.

+ Great ark work which fits in very well to the style of the game

+ Fun and addictive

+ There is alot of replay value such as leaderboards and achievements

+ Being able to upgrade your tank is a great feature which keeps you playing Titan Attacks

+ The music fits in very well and has a big variety of songs

+ The game is well worth the money and its easy to get a coupon so this game is well worth it

+ Controls are simple as they should be which makes it easy to play

- You will find the game to be a bit dull arfter ten hours on gametime

- There are only a few maps to play on and they are very similer from each other

- You fell as if they should of added more to the game at times

Overall I think that Titan Attacks is a great game to play and is well worth the money. I am give it a 7/10. Its very fun but sometimes you want more.

I actually enjoy Titan Attacks a lot. There's just not much there to hook you to the game.
I would certainly recommend at least considering Titan Attacks if it seems like something you might like.

I picked up the Ultrabundle for $3 or so, definitely a good deal even though I already owned Revenge of the Titans. However, I wouldn't recommend this game (or the bundle) at normal price.

Titan Attacks is quite enjoyable. I played through the first 2 worlds a few times, learning the game and practicing, usually getting destroyed on a few key levels. However, by a few hours in, I broke free. See, the difficulty curve is ramped in the early waves, while you are still building upgrades and gaining power. The game seems to break a bit once you hit Mars, when you usually get maxed add-ons and bullets. After that, what was once a strategic shooter with 1 bullet on screen becomes a spammy hellzone. Waves last a few seconds, cash becomes trivial, even bosses and damage cease to inspire tension. By my 5th new game or so, I could beat the game almost twice. There is no ending, just immediate New Game+ and scaling enemies.

It didn't make me feel like a pro, it made me feel like the game was incomplete. 100 simple levels, menu music that loops after 5 seconds, and so much potential.
It's not all bad. The gameplay and shooting is pretty solid, sounds and music are good, and the visuals are solid if a bit murky in some dark red areas. For $3 or so, a solid experience.

Compared to Revenge (even though I HATED that game) this game feels very simple and short, beatable in an hour or less. Once I finish all the achievements, I probably won't mess with the game much. I'd prefer if the game had more strategy developed in the later levels, nothing really changes. The only real source of difficulty is avoiding a screen full of tiny bullets while enemies just gain HP as the waves go on, slowing the game down without adding any challenge beyond "Fire more". It started great, became decent, and ended with a bigger version of the same boss. I guess it's fair, sometimes it's nice to be able to beat a game and move onto something else. Just watch for a great sale. Now to work on Ultratron and Droid Assault...

This, in my opinion, is a great lunch-break game. I like to load this treasure up when I need a break from my text book. It’s not too addicting, which is great for us students, but it's loads of fun.

I'm sure most of you are deterred by the old-style gameplay that it boasts. I was at first, but the graphics and sound really pop. With the addition of custom upgrades and enhancements it feels like a modern game. It's kept me sane many an All-nighter.

5/5
