Hi all!

Servers will come down at 10:30 UTC, down-time should be minimal. Changes are below:

  • New imp on the log-in screen.
  • Patched a memory leak that was causing issues for players that were logged in for long periods of time.
  • New "Charm" Magick.

After more than 620 hours on record, this game is still incredibly fun. The last title to grip me this much was Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory I believe, and we're talking about 2 different worlds here! What I'm saying is it doesn't matter if you're more into FPS, RTS, MMORPG or friggin' bread simulator games - this one can hook anyone and is worth checking out either way!

Nice F2P game without p2w, the combat is nice and there's a lot of replayability. I liked the first Magicka a lot more though.

I really hope they fix the perma-lag soon though... Projectiles and Beam spells don't hit, even when they clearly should and mines damage you even if you are out of range.

This game is very fun and enjoyable, Its also quite polished with almost no bugs (havent seen any yet but i know there is some out there) despite it is early acess and has just hit alpha at the time of this review. Something that alot of people would like to know if this is a P2W or a Pl2W game, i have to say its a Play to win game at this state as everything in the store that gives you a advantage in a certain element dosent give you a disadvantage on another element (basically you buy a fire staff it gives you +10 fire dmg but it will also give you -10 water dmg etc.) so theres nothing that is unblanaced in the store so put your hearts at ease if you just cant seem to get a kill then... (try harder! you will get one eventually i promise!) but something that i personally think that the game needs working is the price of some of the items in the store like the highest price i saw was 6.99 for a robe that looks diffrent but has the same stats as another robe in the store. Daymn! Somethings in the game are quite annoying but realistic such as friendly fire is on, which means that some troll in the game decides to freeze all his teammates in place with the ice element or set them on fire, and theres a revive skill (its a special ablility) you would think that this only works on teammates... BUT no you can revive your opposing team once i burnt a guy to ashes but my teammate died next to him and i revived him but also revive the other guy, so we had to kill him again but hey free kills! Anyways i would very much recommend this game i'll give it a 9.5/10 very well done for a F2P early acess alpha game

-Quick Review-
Have you ever wanted to mix elements together to invent new spells, want to run around and shoot fire balls or lightning at your friends/enemies? Is your life lacking that special “magical” element? Well Magicka: Wizard Wars has a solution to your dilemma!
Magicka: Wizard Wars is a MOBA where you can mix different elements to create different spells, in addition to a level system once that game is finish, gives the game a fun sense of progress, in addition to leveling you have different types of gear you can equip to boost different stats on your mage.
-Detailed breakdown review-
Story: Oh no! Do you see all those mages with red names? They need to die, like now! What are you waiting for, melt their faces! Look, stories really aren’t applicable in MOBA; this game is tailored for PvP, that’s what MOBA’s do.

Game Play: There are 8 different types of spells that can be mixed to create different types of moves. You can mix 3 healing/regeneration spells and then cast it to heal yourself, or mix together a shield and earth to create rock armor. In addition to the magic mixing, you also have 4 action skills that slowly recharge as you cast spells.
There is also a nice leveling system in place, so that win or loss you get experience towards the next level, and get rewards for accomplishing various matches.

Achievements: No steam achievements for this game (At this time – The game is Early Access Game)

Price: Magicka: Wizard Wars is a free to Play game. There are things in the game you can purchase or grind to get better advantages… or simply aesthetics. That is where the game gets their money, so do keep that in mind.

Conclusion: I’ve played a number of MOBA’s, many of them are good, but they take a lot of time to get the hang of, and there is always that part of the community that is cut throat about skill level. I’m sure I’ll come back to this game later and play more, but at this point I just wanted to get the general idea for the game.
It ran smooth, was very easy to pick up and play with, has a bit of a unique learning curve… all in all, I enjoyed the game, and do intend to play more.

It's a fun game. I like that you can change your equipment (after purchasing it) to be any type of mage. The only down side to changing is that if you've spent a lot of time getting gear for a particular element, you have no coins left to buy other gear.

I've been playing for a couple of hours and decided to go the way of a healer. I used all of my resources to max out healing. However, the game punishes you for being a pure healer. Even though I'm instrumental in keeping my teamates alive so that they can attack. The game ranks you acorrding to how many kills you have. So even when my team wins, I'm at the bottom and recieve less perks.

Since it a team game, 4 vs 4 most of the time, it would be nice if the ranking changed to be the amount of damge dealed or healed instead of a pure death count.

I'm already growing frustrated that I spent my time getting healing gear to help my team, and finding out later how little reward I would get. It seems that most people go for pure damage and a one-man army approach in which they don't help each other. On the rare chance that I get a group together that does acutlly work as a team, we stomp all over the competition. The reason it works so welll is because I'm constantly healing the others and they can focus on attack. My teammates flay the other team, and we win. Then the rankings show me getting less than even the loosing team.

I justgot out of a match. We won. The highest score was 785 on my team. I died only once and the entire time I was healing my teammates and helping them deal max damage. My score? ZERO, I didn't get even one experience point for my effortts. I'm done with this game.

I think it's the best spell casting game, this game deserves every positive feedback that he has got.
The most important think about EA games is that if developer cares about players and the game, and in my opinion Paradox Interactive is doing great job to keep the game going forward with new updates and keep the players satisfied.

Dont dare to play this game if have cold and slow hands. Magicka: Wizard Wars is a game with 100% pure skill and fastest paced action you can find.
If you are playing Invoker in Dota 2 this game is good for you but this game is quite a bit harder than playing invoker. You need to cast spells as fast as you can. Take Note: You have 6 elements and combinining per element you can have tons of spells out of it.
Lastly, They've got the great idea of the spell-making from the original Magicka and made it into a fun, amusing, and well balanced pvp game. Worth playing.

This is basically a wizard simulator. Fun to play with friends or solo queue (though it will be a lot more difficult playing with randoms). Lots of spell combinations that really get you thinking about what you should do next as no matter what you do, your opponent can counter it and vice-versa. The only thing I wish is that 1v1 mode was more rewarding so that it would feel like it's worth playing it as it's what I mostly enjoy playing online.

This game is alot of fun, but the controlls are kind of confusing if you don't usually play this kind of game. (I kept using wasd to move when that's what you use to equip spells)

Not bad for f2p. Haven't really seen too much imbalance, however, when I played, there was nobody else playing... so I waited in queue for a long, long time.

Have you ever wanted to become a wizard ? Now is your chance. It will be probably frustrating experience for few hours (as you can see, reviews section is full of ppl with 10 hours played calling this game "terrible"), but once you get quick on controls, and learn to properly counter, it will be very enjoyable experience. And once you mastered basics, you can start making your own combos, develop your playstyle, customise your gear to suit you the best, and throw various "specials" (as you kill stuff, they are fulfilling a bar located at the botton of the screen, once you reached some focus, you can cast special spells called Magicks) at your enemies. Give it a try and play it for few weeks, it is free, and it might become your favourite game.

Here is a link if you want to begin, you get 10000 crowns if you register through it, once you reached 25k xp, have fun ;)
