Reviews

IGN: 9/10 - Editors Choice - "A qualified triumph for veterans of the first game and newcomers alike."

Gamespy: 4.5/5 - Editors Choice - "Just as a good sequel should be, Orcs Must Die! 2 is everything I love about the original and more: great art and personality, clever puzzles and green meat-grinding traps, and now with the added bonus of easy-to-use, Steam-powered co-op."

Destructoid: 9.0 - "A year ago, I couldn’t imagine another game mixing tower defense and third-person action as well as Orcs Must Die! Clearly, I was wrong."

A great upgrade from the first installment of the series. I really enjoy FPS tower defense type of games (like Sanctum also), and the co-op element of this one makes it super fun. And on top of that you have some fun mods to mess around with if you want. I highly recommend this game.

Great coop and fun to play with a friend. Can also play solo. Variety of traps, weapons, and buffs to choose from for your character. Who doesn't love crushing wave after wave of orcs??

Fantastic game for killing time or if you want to try beat your personal records mine is wave 44 on Endless mode solo. (Gets pretty intense after 40)

Even better to play co-op with a friend, there is a huge variety of traps, trinkets and weapons to use to spice up the slaying of 1000's of Orcs, the maps themselves are really nice to look at and can themselves be used to help kill Orcs either by throwing them in lava or getting rammed by carts or knocked off the edge of a map.

The extra DLC for this game is also cool, new enemies, new maps and decent prices.

All in all this is a great game for either laying back and chilling solo or wreaking havoc with a co-op partner and seeing how long you can last on endless mode.

Worthy purchase.

Simplistic and repetitive game, even co-op doesn't save it.

Orcs Must Die! Could not have said it better myself, this game is quite simple kill lots of orcs with your weapons and traps you have set up. There are stonger orcs and weaker orcs, fast ones and slow ones, even flying ones it will take hours for you to get bored with this game.

Major improvement over the original, if you enjoyed the first game you will love the sequel. The Co-op mode is a very welcoming feature. Orcs Must Die 2 allows you to play as the hero from the first game, as well as the sorceress, the villain from the first game. The banter between the two characters is amusing during the mayhem of orc slaying. There is a wide variety of weapons, traps, trinkets, and costumes for both characters, and the levels seem to be playtested well, allowing for a variety of strategies to win levels, but never easily. The endless game mode helps you make up for skulls you didn't obtain in co-op mode, which allows you to upgrade equipment and retry those levels again. Orcs Must Die 2 is a perfect mix of action, strategy, rpg elements, and just pure fun.
