Reviews

IGN: 9/10 - Editors Choice - "A qualified triumph for veterans of the first game and newcomers alike."

Gamespy: 4.5/5 - Editors Choice - "Just as a good sequel should be, Orcs Must Die! 2 is everything I love about the original and more: great art and personality, clever puzzles and green meat-grinding traps, and now with the added bonus of easy-to-use, Steam-powered co-op."

Destructoid: 9.0 - "A year ago, I couldn’t imagine another game mixing tower defense and third-person action as well as Orcs Must Die! Clearly, I was wrong."

Orcs Must Die! Could not have said it better myself, this game is quite simple kill lots of orcs with your weapons and traps you have set up. There are stonger orcs and weaker orcs, fast ones and slow ones, even flying ones it will take hours for you to get bored with this game.

A great upgrade from the first installment of the series. I really enjoy FPS tower defense type of games (like Sanctum also), and the co-op element of this one makes it super fun. And on top of that you have some fun mods to mess around with if you want. I highly recommend this game.

Pretty fun and addicting game. Good cartoonish art, so far it was nicely optimized, no crashes and no fps lag at all.
The co-op mode is even funnier of course, since you can use a lot of creativity with a friend to complete the levels.
Could use a larger amount of levels, though, without the need for DLC, that is. Still, a pretty good game.

This is an amzing game. My only complaint is that it focuses too much on playing with friends, and u can only play with one at a time. The game is too difficult for solo play and if you have more than 1 friend that wants to play someone is gonna be left out. I hope an orcs must die 3 doesnt have this problem, if there ever will be a third game.

This is effectively Orcs Must Die! 1.5. There are new additions, but they are not much.
The new additions include:
Playing as the sorceress. (you can't switch between the sorceress and the warmage, each requires a new, separate, save. also, some traps are unique to the character)
Some new traps. (as expected)
Some new enemies. (as expected)
Endless mode. (aka grinding for skulls)
Levels of upgrades for the trap. (necessitating the aformentioned grinding for skulls)
Co-op. (aka, sacrificing the game on the bloody altar of co-op. the game is now balanced for two players, so expect a serious spike in difficulty in the second act. a single player can overcome this with lots of grinding for skulls to buy the traps and upgrade them.)
If you liked the first one, go for it. If you have not played the first one, get that instead. This one is just more of the same, aimed at the co-op crowd.

[EN] You both fight and plant traps. Third Person Shooter, sometimes Third Person Melee or Third Person Magic combined with Tower Defence, what else can be better than this ? It also has a cooperative mode that makes the experience twice as good. 10/10
