About This Game

Realm of the Mad God is the first ever free to play Bullet Hell MMO. Team up with dozens of players and battle through the Realm of the Mad God, Oryx. With a retro 8-bit style, Realm is an evolution of traditional MMO gameplay. A dozen classes and hundreds of items to discover means Realm is easy to play but difficult to master. Players can jump in Realm for 5 minutes or stay online for hours because there is nothing to install or download.

Key Features

  • Action combat! No turn-based battles here, only skilled running and gunning.
  • Epic boss battles. Navigate demented waves of bullets from nasty demons.
  • True cooperative play. All experience is shared and you win by playing together.
  • Great 8-bit art: Retro styling straight from the 8-bit era.
  • Over a dozen unique character classes. Play as a powerful wizard, a clever mystic, a brawling warrior.
  • Loot! Hundreds of weapons, potions, armors, and rings.
  • PermaDeath. Dying well means something in Realm. Earn fame if you survive for long enough and kill enough monsters.
  • Sheep. The sheep say 'Baa.'

Finally Kabam gave this game to a company that will actually care about it instead of just taking the money! Deca Games is the best!

People are saying this game is slowly dying, due to hackers and the pay to win status this game is currently in. However, I feel that this game has so much potential. I have been playing for quite a few years now, and started even after Kabam brought upon us thier terrible rule of the game, and I still haven't seen the end of it. However slowly it is evolving nowadays, there is still the glimpse of WildShadows's light they shone upon this franchise at first, still there for you to enjoy.

Hackers may be a nuisance, but multiboxers, as a contradiction to current beleifs, are actually fairly unlikely to steal your loot from a dungeon, purely because of thier devastating over damage. Other downsides such as hackers ent sitting or just legit trollers scamming and dragging can all be countered with little care. Only teleport if at least 2 people call, always leave your afk character paused, and check the trade box before confirming. I don't see why so many people are making such a big deal out of it.

Quite recently, one of my friends posted a dislike comment of how much of a grindfest maxing a character is. But the whole point of the game is that its a mmo co op. Friends can help, and if a certain dungeon is getting repetetive, find another one to solo out of the many that appear in this game, for instance, maxing speed is usually done in a snake pit, but a perfectly fine alternative is a haunted cemetary. Wis can be found in both UDLs and Mad Labs, so no-one needs to repeatedly do udls, unless they want to reach the unreachable and acheive the dbow drop.

My point is though, with all the almost infinitely large amount of content in this game, I don't see how a once convinced realm player quit due to just pure bore. Try soloing an Avatar with its Shatters if you feel too overpowered, and if you still feel unconvinced, try doing it petless, abilityless or even both. The possibilities this game creates are near endless, and this game will definitely not fade out of existence any time soon.

Edit: Ever since Deca has bought this game, it has gotten a lot better, and they have only had the game for less than a month, and they have already had countless events that Kabam could never dream of, many free packs (Kabam only gave us 2 backpacks) and a whole lot more hype for what could come next. 2 new skins have been added, 2 new boxes have been added, and this just leaves players wondering what Deca will add next. I would like to show my gratitude to Deca Games in this review for the game. Thank you Deca. ᶘ ᵒᴥᵒᶅ

Hi DECA,

Love the game, I play on Flash Projector.
Some ideas:

-Quest system right now just requires you to have vault space to store some of the trash quest items, it would be cool if that quest system changed into something more like: Kill 50 of this type of God; Solo this dungeon with this class etc.

-If possible an option to turn off everyone else's characters and projectiles to reduce lagg, because seeing where everyone else is isn't really cruicial.

-The pet update was what kept me playing, because Realm deaths can be crushing at times and since pets don't die and the fame from dying can go into pets. It would be cool to see more viable pet abilities appart from "Heal, Magic heal and Electric". I'd especially enjoy useless decorative white bag pets that throw fireworks and make stupid noises or something.

-I think it would be cool to have a printscreen attatched to the nexus key sometime in the future.

These are just some of the ideas I have at the moment.
Thanks

Personally my favorite game but i will be unbias. Its a very fun and addicting game. It takes time to build up but once you get there its good til you die. The game is a game where you can die and lose that character for ever, so its best to play hard but safe.

Hello

before I'm writing my actual review, I just wanna say that I have over 3000 hours in this game, i can't give you an exact number but that's probably the minimum.
I play this game on the website and in the flash projector (standalone for less lag)
I also make videos about this game so check out my channel if you are interested, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4EZa3q2gtberPdaBW1Qa3w

This game has huge potential, and a short time ago a new company took over the game, taking it from an old moneyhungry company that took away a lot of the game's potential, meaning that it can't get worse.

Right now is probably your best choice to get back into the game, since they might put in some good stuff.
So for now I'd definetly reccomend joining it, that could change in the future tho, depending on how this goes.

but as I said, it can only stay the same as it is or get better.
