About This Game

When you, as a young boy, are dropped off to visit your uncle, you notice something’s wrong. First, he’s not there to greet you. Second, there’s the explosion that happened right as you arrived. And third, the house seems to be even weirder than you remembered it. Now, your job is to find—and ultimately rescue—your uncle, by using his newest invention, the Interdimensional Shift Device (or IDS), to switch between dimensions and solve puzzles. That sofa too heavy to move? There’s a dimension for that! Switch to Fluffy Dimension and that sofa is now light as a feather. Need to get up to a high ledge? There’s a dimension for that! Just switch to Anti-Gravity Dimension and things begin to float upward. Need to make things heavier? There’s a dimension for th—well, you get the idea. Switch dimensions in real time, work your way through the crazy complex mansion wings and rescue your uncle!

this game is my answer whenever someone ask me what my favorite game of all time is. stirring story, cosy stages, overwhelmingly entertaining puzzles, genuine humor and everything I look for havin' fun in a game. I wish there was a sequal for it. I had my best times while playin'. 4 different dimension supply a huge variety on complexity and not only that it has awesome gameplay trough with it. I always thought that could cause lots of improvement in game industry but it's been 3 years and yet all we got is "The Talos Principle". I really think developers should look up for this game and draw a lesson. that's the stuff we need more and more. I dont know what kim swift doin' these days but we need her back really bad zxzxzx.

I really wish there was a maybe. The puzzles are fun, but later on in the game this becomes more like a platformer and I have trouble jumping and hitting buttons in time to do the stunts which is frustrating. This isn't the Portal rival I thought it would be, although the first levels definitely fooled me into thinking it would be!

If you are a sucker for 3d puzzle platformers this should be something you enjoy. Just be warned most of the puzzles are fairly easy and you need to buy the DLCs if you want something more challenging.

Rating: Best game ever

What could have been a wonderful puzzle game is ruined by so many levels designed around sensitive platforming mechanics. I really gave this game a chance as it has a lovely concept for puzzles. But after my frustration level became just too much I uninstalled the game unfinished. I found myself in so many levels where I had solved the puzzle and knew exactly what to do but just couldn't pull of the complicated jumps or positioning that was required. Often I was doing a puzzle over 10 times and failing every time because I didn't quite make the jump or I wasn't quite standing in the right place. I knew what to do. I had solved the puzzle part. But I couldn't pull of the platforming aspect. If you like platformers and puzzles but really go for the platforming aspect than this really is a good game. If you like puzzle games like Portal but aren't the most agile of gamer in platformers, then I highly recommend skipping this title.

Pros:
-Puzzle difficulty gets hard without feeling impossible
-Whimsical look is neat
-VO is entertaining
-Death screens are funny

Cons:
-Level design is very very very very very very(...) repetetive for the game's length. The sudden unique design of the final level would have been nice to introduce earlier.
-Story is completely nonsensical and feels like an afterthought

Score: 6/10
