This game is actually entertaining to play,(in my opinion atleast) and you get to see what Team Fortress was, before it became the #1 Hat War-Themed Simulator. I recommend.

If you're looking for something to replace TF2, you'll be disappointed.

As shooters go, it's decent, but in my opinion it's nothing special. Sorry guys, but from my perspective, it lacks what's needed to make a good game.

Team Fortress Classic is class-based multiplayer FPS developed as a mod for the original Half-Life. There are ten classes to choose from, each of them with varying strengths, weaknesses and abilities, Although one of them is literally useless and only appears in one game mode as a target.

There is a heavy emphasis on teamwork between players of different classes requiring a well-balanced offence and defence. The game modes can revolve around capturing the flag, territory captures, or protecting a VIP. Typically, players have the choice of two teams (Red and Blue) with a maximum of 32 players in a server .

Team Fortress Classic is much like Team Fortress 2 , and it still has hundreds of servers running so you won't find it difficult to find yourself servers to play.

8/10 From Me

As a TF2 player, I can tell you that TFC is far from it, but at the same time as close to Tf2 as twins. Something that makes it different is that it definitely requires a lot of skill, I mean a lot. You also need to remember to pick up on what you need to do and what exactly is going on. Unlike TF2, the information isn't always right up in your face. You almost always have to have a strategy otherwise you'll be dead really quickly. Oh yeah, and grenades.
There are a lot of elements of this game that tells you that this is, without a doubt, the father of TF2. Something most notable and most obvious is how fast paced they both are. Seriously, first 2 minutes of any game from both of these titles has more action then a James Bond movie on steroids most the time. Another thing I'd like to point out is that over the years, the classes still have almost the exact same elements and still have the same purpose (With probably the exception of pyro, but that's debatable.) It's suprising to see that even after all that's been added to TF2 and how much you may think that it's not close to it's orgin, but really, Everything you had from the first is pretty much right there (Other than 'nades XD).

I seriously recomend this game and I aplaud the community that supports it. Even though it's old, it's probably one of the best games you could find on steam. It deserves a lot more attention. And in my opinion, It's certainly worth $4.99.

Game: Team Fortress classic
Price: 9.99(I got it in a Half-life bundle while the bundle was on sale for 7.

TFC(Team fortress classic) was a great game that started a sensation! TFC is a CTF/TDMish FPS game. It is a RedVBlue and has the amazing classes(such as Scout,Spy,HWGuy). Built on Half-life assets, TFC is a very good game. Now I will say that the HL2 Deathmtach is slightly better imo. Ok let's look at some pros and cons.

Pros:
Multiplayer
Not dead -NOT DEAD.
Addicting
The start of a sensation
Challenging

Cons:
Slightly chaotic, but it's fine
There is no scoping. BUT THAT CAN BE A PRO SO YOU CAN DO SOME GUD OL' 360 NOSCOPE.(Well there is scoping if you are sniper)
Outdated

The cons aren't even a bother to the game! The game is great! When i got the Half-life bundle i told myself, "I will not play it. I'm not a fan of team fortress." Well i decided to give it a go anyway and I don't regret installing it. Now for the ratings.

Gameplay: 9.5/10
Music/sounds: 8/10 -No music that i know of, but the sounds are fine
Community: 9/10 -Pretty good community that I know of
Replayability: 9.5/10

Overall rating: 9/10 <----Amazing rating right there boi. BUY IT!

I definitlely recommend this classic old-school game. This is what I grew up with, and TF2 is another story. So yeah. I'm a big fan of GoldSrc games, and every retro gamer like me should have this. I spent most hours in WON version of this, and now I'm now spending more in Steam version. In conclusion - this is perfect game when it comes to old-school multiplayer.

fun game but seriously hostile community. This game is for people who want to mindlessly be called out for being complete ♥♥♥♥ at all classes. Also the heavy is op as hell.
