Shattered Horizon is an innovative game from Futuremark Games Studio that immerses you in the cold reality of combat in space like no other game before.
This first-person shooter is played entirely in zero gravity. A catastrophic explosion on the Moon has filled near-Earth space with billions of tons of rocky debris. With simple and intuitive controls, you have complete freedom of movement in the distinctive zero gravity environments. Not only can you use your rocket pack to fly anywhere but you can also land on any surface to attack your enemies from unexpected angles.
Shattered Horizon challenges you to take your FPS skills to the next level adapting what you have learned on the battlefield to create new tactics in a fully three dimensional battle space.

This game was awesome when it came out, the balance was good, the weapon did everything you could want. those were the good days, I could switch from defense to offense to sniping, all with a single gun. There was never a situation that you could blame anything but yourself for your death. The future was bright and I thought that this could very well be the next counter-strike in terms of e-sports.

BUT, then came the firepower DLC, free DLC that took AWAY the gun that we loved, with no way to bring it back. Now you had to choose your role before spawning and once chosen all other roles would be out of the question. The community cried and begged the developers: "Please give us back our old gun, well do anything. give us back the old version you don't even have to maintain it." but the developers said: "No, we do not want to fracture the community." The community struggled a little longer trying to get back the game they loved. But eventually everyone just gave up. And that is how future-mark killed this once so awesome game.

Well, they tried to save it in their own way, bots were to combat the draining servers. But it was not enough, all we wanted was the game we once paid for, the one that was awesome. But now i have a simple cod rip-off in space, and not a very good one at that.

I hope they learned from this experience to never fundamentally change game-play in a published game. But I know that I don't care what they release next. I don't trust future mark any more.

Pre-Patch (firepower DLC for all that was) THIS game was outstanding in many ways.
Was it a must play back then? YES!

Zero gravity, enemies comming at you from every position upside down around and what not.
The sound-simulation-system of your suit was epic. The idea to listinging to the game more than watching every corner. And the feeling of beeing allready dead and scared to hell once you were EMP'd for a couple of seconds till it rebooted. Also the ability to run silent and sneak by.

All this combined with your very minimal 1 gun for all situations. Attach to the ground and scope (snipe) ppl, or spin and twist in space and burstfire or go full auto. the gun offered 3 diffrent grenade types. EMP (don't u f***ing EMPP your whole team :P) ICE (created smoke) and a blast grenade to pop enemies out of cover. Even the melee attack was executed with this ONE gun.

Who ever had the idea that a firepower DLC would be a nice upgrade. #NOPE

I dunno. It is dead anyways. Why don't you release it as a free 2 play pre-patch game futuremark? I think ppl would give it a try again, instead getting the sod feeling that they just bought a DEAD multiplayer game. But hey ... that doesn''t effect the singleplayer right?! ... OH WAIT ... THERE IS NON!

Shattered Horizon is a very dead and buried multiplayer, with possibilies of a rather unique fps.
Features a cool physics based around floating in a space, and it takes a lot while to adjust to the rather realistic experience.
Being aware of your enemies movement and gamesense are extremely important when there is a chance for 360 degrees of movement with turbos and an option to deactivate your suit for invisibity in map. Game literally cheers for every melee kill, with is a huge +. Could be actually fun if you can gather some friends to play with.

Warning: may cause feelings of vertigo and nausea

+Physics engine and general feeling of free movement
+Realistic and very unique

-Multiplayer is mostly dead and when not, can be really harsh on newer players
-Playing against bots is really unrewarding
