Atmosphere for cutting" takes on a whole new meaning when you are constantly cut up Monster.
Isaac is an engineer and his team to repair the communication system of the mine USG Ishimura spaceship, because the giant spaceship has long sent No more messages in the home. After closing time, Issac will then meet with his girlfriend Nicole, who works on the Ishimura. Before the wireless connection broke, which has not sent a garbled message to him that troubles our hero - something seems on board not to be okay.
The characterization "cinematically staged" may have been overused a bit throughout history, but in Dead Space it hits without a doubt. From the first scene we feel, not to sit at our desk, but in a cinema seat. And this is not only the opening credits, which accompanied the first game seconds unobtrusive. It is the interplay of images, dialogues and sounds that make us very impressed already in the shuttle sequence, such as the Ishimura on cue for the first time behind a large asteroid chunks comes to the fore, while the background music reached a brief climax.
Even without striking horror the first steps aboard the Ishimura are already scary enough. Why is this here so dark? And where are all the people? This is the largest mining space ship of humanity, with a few thousand men crew, and no one welcomes us? Scary.
Apart from the technical failings, the operation principle of Dead Space is worthy of an award: The game comes with absolutely no classic screen displays. Whenever Isaac calls the map its inventory ransacked or video viewing messages, comments appear holographic overlays before him. So we will never torn by unadorned menus of the game world. As a health bar serves a light bar on Isaac's back, next to a semi-circle indicates how much stasis energy is still available to him.
Have you played Dead Space, you will receive as a reward a new super suit, lots of money and even keep your equipment to properly turn up in the second pass. But only on the same difficulty as before, and that's pretty pointless. After all, you are now armed to the teeth and immeasurably rich. "But wait," you might say, "now we are already at the end of the game and the article, and no other words to action?" No, because that is really excellent, and you should find out for themselves what aboard the Ishimura happened - because therein lies the appeal of the game.
Wow, "I thought in the first game scene from Dead Space: The cinematic narrative immediately pulled me in its spell. "Wow," I thought, as the credits rolled, "were the three great, creepy, long evenings!" Dead Space is great adult entertainment. And I do not mean the remarkable splatter share, but the gripping story with (semi) surprising twists and a round final
Score: 86 / 100
