Ah, Heroes of Might and Magic 5: Tribes of the East. It was my favourite game during childhood.

In overall, if you learn how to play it, you gonna pay HOURS, which you arent going to regret. It may sound as expansion pack, but its actually something more than that, not like SR4. It is standalone expansion pack, which does not require original game, and it offers a new line of campaign as several races, and singleplayer maps if feeling bored. It also includes random map generator in-case you played all maps already.

I never got to test multiplayer, but I managed to try LAN and Hotseat. I am not sure about Ubi.com option, but make sure to check out and let me know.

For first time, HOMM5 included adjustable 3D camera, which makes it with ease to see around corners and pick up that annoying pile of wood behind rocks.

The difference from original HOMM5, it includes new race known as Orcs, and TWO types of upgrades for creatures, instead of just 1. And also of course, new maps and campaign.

In overall :

+3D Adjustable Camera
+Very time consuming once you get into it
+Does not actually require UPlay (Its so annoying =m=)
+Updated graphics and art make it look terrific.
+If played previous series, its very easy to get grip on HOMM5.
+Great storyline.

and of course, nothing comes without negatives.

-Minor bugs
-Poor sound, but music makes it up.
-Boring battles at first campaign mission.
-Graphical bugs on individual video cards (just like on mine, but its still playable.)

8/10 . Give it a spin.

This is one of the greatest games that I've ever played.

The campaign mode offers a rich story that follows on from previous HoMM titles and provides quite a challenge on heroic difficulty. The multiplayer mode has incredible replayablity, offering players a choice from a vast selection of heroes, each with various strengths and weaknesses. There's a good selection of maps to play, as well as a lot of user created maps to download. This is certainly a game that's easy to learn but hard to master.

One of the best turn based strategy games out there. Highly recommend.

Heroes of Might and Magic V Tribes of the East have everything from the basic game, Hamer of Fate and some new things. I recomend to get it and if you dont have the base game get it all. It's a easy to learn, hard to play turned based strategy game. It offers alot of fun and a good chalenge for noobs and old hardcore players. TOTE also brougth back the good old Stronghold factoin.

Awesome strategy game. Looks good, feels solid, plays like a charm. If you like any form of strategy based RPGs (Age of Wonders - Fire Emblem) you will like this too.

It is stand - alone expasion pack.

Awesome music, good graphics , very addictive , fun turn based tatics game.
These are things when in comes to HOMM. And HOMM5 is not different.

But be careful. It will gonna make you pay a lot of time. I mean it.
The one-time play can cost you about 1 and half hour and possbilly even more!
The fact that luck plays major role in this game can kinda make you upset. (there's many radom stuff in this game)

Note that there's mod that make you play other HOMM5 campaigns on this expasion pack.(orginal , HOF)
