Nothing like the console version. This version rips your balls off and force feeds you them.

This game is better than the console versions in my opinion, but it is very boring. I suggest you buy the second one.

Huge Disappointment. Terrible code, terrible mechanics, patchwork, buggy, you name it, it is in here. They could've dispensed with the flashy visuals and tried to actually make a working game. The last three missions I just wanted to be done with this game so I could delete it from my hard-drive an never install it again. Not worth your time unless you get in bundle on sale. Since I've gone this far, I'll play the second one, hopefully its any kind of improvement over this heap of garbage.

It would be a good game but just on consoles maybe - the port is soooo awful! The time I spent looking for solution with cross-com menu which didn't work and 1 glitched mission totally determined my view on this game. Eventually I did finish it, but the bugs put me off playing it again.
Fact that the video on steam store page is from console version (PC is FP view) speaks for itself - ubisoft didn't put much effort in this port.
P.S.: Advanced Warfighter 2 was less buggy, but IMO still not worthy...

This is a game built around squad commands in which THE SQUAD COMMANDS DON'T WORK. Do not play this on PC because it is completely broken. I hear it's fine on consoles, though.

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!

I loved GRAW and it was the first Ghost Recon I played, but that was on Xbox 360, the video for this isn't like the PC. This game becomes a Generic FPS game that is bugged to ♥♥♥♥ and looks terrible for 2006 Graphics (thats the year GRAW came out if I remeber correctly). You might as well buy GR: Future Soldier, I can gurantee more enjoyment. The cross-comm doesn't work so the team mates can't be commanded, not controller support, gameplay is stiff. Movement is very slow, and there isn't even controller support if you wanted to simplify the gameplay. Stay away at all costs, I thought some of those Bad Reviews were over reacting when I saw some praise out of others, BOY WAS I WRONG. So if you're here for nostalga, get out now!

This has got to be the worst game I have ever played and finished. It starts off to be a pretty fun game but then you get to parts with MG nests with perfect vision and accuracy even if you are so far that they don't even render and you are in a different direction than thier point of view. And then there is a level that only loads if you un-patch the game. And then there are the tanks where you have to rely on your teammates if there is more than one per level and your teammates beilive that "attack that tank" means walk up to it and give it a hug. Also this is the kind of game where you die at the drop of a hat but it also has a checkpoint system which I hated. I give this game negative infinity out of infinity.

Go play classic Ghost Recon if you want to play a good game.

The main aspect I like about this game is the fact that it counts chambered bullets. For example, a full mag for the SCAR L is 30 rounds. If you were to load the rifle, and fire off half the mag, then reload, your total count would be 31. It's also cool that there is some variety to customization of the few guns available in the game, although the options remain basically the same (Supressor, Red Dot Sight, Grenade Launcher)

What I think could have used more work is the command interface, and the brains of the A.I. teammates.

A real kicker. This is the real deal in terms of realistic shooters. Clancy's legacy lives on, not just tacked on in this great game.

Would have been a great classic feeling Ghost Recon game but utterly ruined by ♥♥♥♥ty AI and the lack of a basic save feature separate from the awful checkpoint system.

This game is beautiful tactic FPS with awesome style of moving with your team. You can choose many ways how to solve your mission. Always you and your team. For me, this game is in TOP of tactic/stealth shooters. Of course on store page, the screenshots are diferent, cuz i think they are from Play Station version, which suck... so dont trust in screenshots on store page, better check online. And Steam version have one bug with commanding your team, so you must manualy change it in one document, which is not big deal. But still. AWESOME GAME. I am playing it from 2008 and I still love it.

Great game, but be warned that the video shown above is from the Xbox 360 version of the game and doesn't accurately represent this version. The two games are very different, the least of which is that this version is in first-person. If you're looking for a third-person game, this is not it. If you don't care about the camera perspective and want a fun tactical shooter, grab this game.

Truly a great proper pc game, and majority of pc users still loathed ubisoft with their horrible DRM crap, anyway apart from this warfighter is an absolute gem...the graphics can looks stunning with a sort of yellowie impressions, gun firing's sound is quite good too and also it's best to use K/M since there is no game pad for this but you'll love this tactical FPS shooter alright . the mouse's binding is a bit lame and it dosen't set to how you want it done especially for cross-com..however it's still a decent pc port rather than a crappy console's port unlike today many games for pc are poorly done...

if you're still keen to get this to work using the mouse properly,: go to GRAW folder and see "ctrl_set_def.xml" file and "profile.xml" file then change to notepad open up and look like this :

you need to add the missing binding for the middle mouse wheel :
<button id="hud_use/action" binding="3" device="mouse" group="misc"/>

avoid the screen loading freezes-dont use full screen mode
