It's been a while, hasn't it? 8 years, and this game still makes me nostalgic. Audiosurf is something you should try if you're into rhythm games. Or just if you like music. It's not good, it's not bad, but it's something worth buying, because it's the best time killer you will ever find in the world, provided you have enough music to supply the hungry beast of a game.

Fun, lots of replayability, best of all you can choose your own music to play to. That alone gives this game nearly infinite replay value. For a game that I can pick up at any time during the day, I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of rhythm based games.

this game is brocken. lets you play the bad free songs that they offer but wont let you play anything bought on itunes like it promises. they tell you that you need to download some app thats fishyer than my grandma's puss but they don't even give you a ligitament link to the download. if wanting to punch a whole in you're com♥♥♥♥r monitor is concidered "caual" than the russian csgo community should be concidered "polite". bad excuse for a game if I could give it a score, it would be as unexistant as my social life.

Audiosurf is a simple yet fun game. You choose your song and it generates a track based on your song's rhythm on which you're playing and collecting colored blocks while trying to dodge the grey ones. It has several modes and difficulties as well as the leaderboard system which, however, isn't quite accurate. The menu design is really not for me but that's not a big issue at all. Overall, it's a relaxing casual game which you can get for less than 1€.

Very fun and addictive game. Analyzes audio very well from what I played and it's perfect for dynamic high tempo hip-hop or electronic songs.

This game goes so well to the rythym of the music... you will be instantly amazed...

Very recommended, especially with video game music.

I don't have much to say about Audiosurf. It's a masterpiece. If you're like me, and you have a ton of music on your computer, this will provide you hours of fun!

Dont wonder if you are going to buy Audiosurf or not. Buy it immediately. This game is very worth buying, even when it's not on sale.

I bought this game when it first came out in the year 2008. It cost 19.90 USD then, and I got it at full price (there wasn't so much discounts on steam back then). Was I skeptical? Yes, I was. I was skeptical because the concept of this game seems simplistic. Of course, this game has convinced me after a while that I have made the correct investment by paying for it at full price.

What this game appears to be is that it converts sound files (music files such as .mp3 ones) into a linear ongoing track of some sort. You get to control a small little car-like vehicle, though the only movement you can perform are sideways. The speed of your little car-like thingy is determined by the pace of your music, which is represented by the colour of the track you are riding on. I won't go into detail on the blocks and game play, but that's basically it.

In short, this game lets you ride the music.

And yes, you can ride on almost any musical file you've loaded into the game, and this is what make this game great and worthwhile.

There is one particular game mode which I like - mono. It's basically a no-brainer where you simply hit the colour blocks and avoid the grey blocks as you move forward along the track. It's a splendid mode to relax yourself with, especially after a day of tiring work when all you want is some of your favourite music and soothing gameplay.

I got it at 2008, and it's 2014 now. Years passed, and many parts of my life have changed. Still, what remained the same is that, after all these years, I will still give new music a run or two here, in audiosurf.

Oh and did I mention that I am still getting e-mails from audiosurf's scoreboard saying that I have been dethroned? Yeah, it's nice to see these e-mails amidst all those work mails and all.
