Really fun game. It's got great RPG elements and really explores a lot of possible variations on the bejeweled gem match-up gameplay while still keeping the core elements essentially simple and enjoyable for the casual gamer. The game progresses well, the gameplay is familiar and has a lot of life to it. It doesn't feel short like other casual RPGs around. Definitely recommend if you are a fan of casual RPGs or want a Bejeweled game that is a little more involved.

Puzzle Quest takes tetris into a whole of new level of gem, and combat like enviroment. Basically you choose between a few classes. Then you are introduce into the game, and just follow the storyline. You can also capture enemy towers for extra income. Movement is linear, but nonetheless is 100% better than Puzzle Quest 2.

Why people play Candy Crush in a world where this classic exists is beyond me.

I love this game. It is perfect for me. A bit of adventure, which is the type of game I am not good at, mixed with a bit of puzzle game which I am good at :)

Take a classic puzzle game (think Bejeweled), add RPG elements and a plot progression where all battles are carried out through that puzzle sequence where both players alternate while sharing the board, and you've got the general idea of what Puzzle Quest is.

Puzzle Quest is a silly wrapper around the puzzle game which ends up strangely compelling - you get special abilities your character can use which use "mana" depending on which colored jewels you combine. You collect experience and money by matching those, and deal damage to your opponent via lining up skulls. Victory is defeating your enemy before your own health runs out. It manages to take an already addictive formula and make it even more addictive.

I was first exposed to this game via the Nintendo DS game, and honestly think that the game is more suited to a mobile platform than to the PC, but the game is still a lot of fun here. Check it out if you haven't.

If you like Bejeweled this game is a must have for you.
The difference to a normal Bejeweled game:

- Cast spells
- Level system and choose where to put your skillpoints
- Get companions
- Earn money to get new gear or upgrade your citadel to get benefits in and out of combat
- Fight against monsters and tame/collect mounts
- 2 Player VS mode

So yeah its pretty fun and worth the price.
