This game just reinforced my instinct to never trust anyone called Gary.

So, to anyone called Gary who is reading this, I say to you: Buy this game, and....

Let the games begin.

Cor, that was a nice reference wasn't it?

Bully: Scholarship Edition is an awesome game I can say I get nostalgia when I play it.

I remember playing Canis Canem Edit (Alternate Title for Bully) on my friend's PS2 and was hooked onto the game.

When I saw Scholarship Edition released I was happy as I could play the game again plus with new content like new classes.

The story is really interesting and it is very easily to get sidetracked from attending classes as their is quite a bit to do while free roaming around the school campus and nearby town.

I like how there is a trouble meter for bullying, truancy, trespassing, etc.
You can bully others in this game (though that isn't the main focus as it focuses on the other school bullies) but you get heavily and fairly punished especially if you harass juniors or girls.

Overall great game and sorry for the huge review.
I rate Bully an 8/10 due to the fact that because it is an old game it performs poorly on Windows 7 and above with hugh crashes and performance issues on windows 10

Save your money and buy some other game. I have nothing against this game itself, but it runs terrible on windows 10. I've been only able to run this game at 10-15 FPS, and my PC is no potato. I'd rather just turn on the playstation to play this game. Sorry. 1/10

Bully: Scholarship Edition is an edgy, unique and highly colorful RPG from the golden age of gaming. This game oozes character, charm and is an absolute classic by Rockstar Games, the lords of open world games such as GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. The gameplay is fast, satisfying and the environment of Bullworth Academy and surrounding areas is seamless and very well constructed. The world is a perfect size and travelling on your skateboard or bike feels smooth and enjoyable without feeling like a chore at all. The soundtrack in Bully is simply sensational. I have almost 25 hours in the game and I still hear new tracks that come up in different missions and they capture the mood perfectly. The graphics aren't entirely horrible for a 10 year old game either - it has native 1440p support and there are excellent guides that help you remove the 30fps cap and add nice graphical overhauls like SweetFX. Crashes can happen although I didn't have many. Save when you can! Definitely a must play for any Rockstar enthusiasts or fans of old school open world games such as Psychonauts. One of the most colorful and individual games I've ever played. Play Bully!

VERY CRASH-FRIENDLY ON WINDOWS 10
8/10
This is a pretty fun game with an interesting story. The game is about Jimmy Hopkins's (a 15 year-old delinquent) year at Bullworth Academy, one of the worst in the country. Jimmy must gain the control of the cliques to become the king of the school, and does so through many ways, though primarily fighting. At the end of each chapter, there is a boss fight with a clique leader. When he defeats the leader, he gains the respect of that clique. Overall the game is very fun and worth a recommend, but it is warned that the game crashes a lot on Windows 10.

Pros:
  • Very fun
  • Good story
  • All the characters are unique, with their own fighting styles, appearances, and personalities
  • 6 different cliques
  • Cool weapons
  • Bikes!

Bully is absolutely great. Sadly, the PC port does not run well on Windows versions after 7. I rolled back my desktop to Windows 7 just to speedrun this game, and now hold the record for 100%. 9/10. Would be perfect but it was kind of annoying to reinstall everything just to have a competitive time.

I'm experiencing crashes within 30 minutes of gameplay or so lately (My previous hours were over the past few years, as I brought it roughly around release.) An otherwise amazing game that defintely stands as my favourite Rockstar game to-date is just simply way too riddled with issues for me to play sadly. However, this is probably because I'm using Windows 10, if you like the look of it, or have played it in the past. I recommend buying it, just save at every turn and if it starts crashing for you, simply refund it.

I'll look around for a fix and I find one, I'll update my review.

I loved Bully before it even came out. Very original concept, by a great developer. The result was exacty what I expected. GTA is great, but it's fun to take that whole same mechanic and place it somewhere unusual. There is just so much variety in this game. So much to discover. Such a huge world. It is frustrating that the school schedule doesn't give you enough time to explore sometimes, but I guess that sort of difficulty is what adds another layer of fun.

I was really on the fence about giving this game a positive or negative review. Its a great game but it has the most annoying crashing problem with Windows ten. If you have windows ten, think hard about getting this game. If not, go for it. The story is amazing and I would strongly recommend based on gameplay and story.

This is a game that I played briefly about 6-7 years ago that I never completed, which is strange because I usually obsessively play the story in Rockstar games to completion. Chances are if you wanted to play this game at some point you have by now. Coming back to this in 2016 was rough graphically and gameplay-wise. However, once you get past the rough edges, this is a game where the sheer lunacy of the tasks you are completing (such as beating up midgets dressed like Christmas elves, helping a drunk santa find his drugs, collecting panties for the peverted gym teacher) still makes this game playable. The story has major holes and meanders throughout, but the characters and setup for missions remain entertaining. The combat and skateboard/bike are fun if at times a little clunky. Last but not least, the soundtrack is pretty incredible (no hyperbole), though you'll hear the main theme over and over again. The only way I can recommend this game in 2016 is if you somehow missed it in years past and care more about atmosphere and mood of a game than the mechanics itself. This is a really cool little offshoot that Rockstar has done aside from the GTA games. At the price you're likely to get it at nowadays, it's a cheap, laid back time if you missed out on this little piece of Rockstar's history. The obvious downside is the graphical fidelity that really makes you appreciate how good games look nowadays, in addition to audio bugs that take away from the overall presentation. If you don't play it, at least give the soundtrack a listen.
