Wrath of the Lamb makes the Binding of Isaac 150% more fun and 150% more harder. New enemies, new items, new bosses. Just everything a fan of this game could have wanted. Definitally worth the buy if you have beaten the Vanilla Isaac.

Pretty much perfects an already great great game. Yeah it's a lot harder and there's a greater spread in quality of runs, but it's full of so many ideas you won't believe weren't thought of for the base game that will change how you approach the entire game. No speedrun mode/achievements?

Careful before installing this. It makes the base game like 10 times harder, no joke. Perhaps try to beat Mom in vanilla a few times before installing it.

There's a lot of cruddy items in this expansion, and the enemies are a lot more unpredictable.

Binding of Isaac alone offers many hours of frustrating achievement hunting. It took me a long time to become proficient and 100% the game. With Wrath of the Lamb, the difficulty increases ten fold. It brings even more item drops, usables, monsters, and bosses, plus new curses, new rooms, and now trinkets. In fact, there's so much new stuff that I usually have to play with the Binding of Isaac wiki page open just as a reference to remember what a lot of the items do.

My only regret is that you cannot play with the DLC turned off so once you own it, there's no going back. I would recommend new players skip the DLC until deciding they like the original Binding of Isaac and are looking for an additional challenge. This is a must own DLC for seasoned veterans of the original--a fantastic value for the price.

I can't imagine myself playing TBOI without this amazing Expansion, yes an Expansion its not a ♥♥♥♥ty Dlc. it add so muchhhhhhh more variety and random thing more hard level that extend the main game i started playing tboi with wrath day 1 but for less skilled player its recommanded to start without it until you beat at least last boss once in vanilla version.
