This is honestly a genuinely good game. Except for the one map where you just cannot knock penguins off. That map sucks and results in stalemates.
Other than that, it's a pretty great game. The game can actually be pretty competitive. The slippery floors allow you to essentially bhop around the levels, making you a speed demon knocking penguins off the map from every corner in a matter of seconds. Knowing the item spawn times and grabbing them right as they spawn is a skill that you can pick up allowing you to outplay enemies.
Of course, I'm not talking about the AI because they're not much of a challenge (unless you turn it all the way up where they become brutal killing machines). Yes, this game has multiplayer. Unfortunately, it doesn't have Steam Gameworks integration so you'll have to port forward to host a server for friends. It's entirely worth it, though.
The game itself doesn't have a map editor, but you can go to frogames.com
(the creators of the game) to learn all about the map editing and to download the editor. I haven't made a full-fledged map, but it certainly appears to be at the very least not a bad editor. It certainly is more user-friendly than hammer.
It's $3.74 when on sale and you get a couple other games. This is by far the best game in the pack. It's also apparently on sale for $1.04 at the Indie Gala store which gives a steam code.
Do yourself justice and pick up a copy for yourself and all of your closest nemesiseseses. Hear them scream when you steal both an invincibility egg and a land mine right before they grab them, only to launch them into the skybox and into the waiting whale's mouth.
