This game is ok, I guess for now. I've played about 4 hours, nonstop.
Lots of tracks
State/province/country ranking system
Handling sucks, very stiff
Car customization is confusing, so I haven't made a car of my own yet.
Track Editor could use some more functions, and some more tool tips/instructions for what some parts do.
The worst part so far is that the game requires you to drive pefectly for gold medals, and why:
The computer cars are not actually playing with you, after playing enough I've concluded that the computer car for
each track is a pre-recording that always does the same thing. The computer cars will never ever make a mistake,
So if you bump anything at any speed, any track, it's an instant loss because the pre-recorded computer car will take the lead and give you no chance.
They make up for this partially because you get an instant race restart function, and I mean instant, you instantly go back to the start line, no loading screens.
Another like is full controller support. I'm using PS3 Sixaxis controller, and I can drive with X, Reset car with Square, Steer with left stick, and pause with L3. L1 is the brake. This is very nice because keyboards just in general suck for racing. You can also navigate the menus using D-pad, which gives you the feeling of an actual Playstation game, and of course you can select things with X.
I'll keep playing, Because I'd like to be rank 1st from Tennessee, but the single player mode is repetitive since the pre-recorded computer car is perfect, and the handling sucks which makes you hit everything.
